Note: Please recharge this player before using it!
1. Please follow the instructions in this manual when using the player in order to avoid the risk of
explosion,fire,electricshock,etc.
2. Do not repair the player yourself, as you may damage it.
3. Avoid getting the player wet or dropping it in water.
4. Do not use the player in the rain.
5. As a USB device, the MP3 player will be write-protected if you lock the buttons using the【HOLD】
switch.
6. Please back up important data on your personal computer before repair in order to avoid data loss.
When using the player, adjust the volume to a reasonable level in order to avoid damaging your hearing.
1. Do not use the earphones while driving a vehicle or riding a bicycle.
2. Be careful if using the player whilst walking in the street, particularly when crossing the road.
3. Do not turn up the volume too high. Doctors warn against prolonged exposure to high volumes.
Prolonged use of earphones at a high volume may damage your hearing.
4. Always use the accessories provided with this player.
Note about the earphones:
It is recommended that you only use the earphones supplied with your MP3/MP4 player or earphones
with the same characteristics. It is recommended that you have regular breaks from using your MP3
player and/or maintain the volume at a reasonable level, in order to protect your health and hearing.

FEATURES
The player supports MP3 and WMA music file formats. It supports USB 2.0 which is much faster
than USB 1.1. This enables a faster connection with your PC.
Your can make voice recordings with your player and you can also record music or FM radio
broadcasts.
The 1.1" OLED 65k color screen can display photos and movies (after conversion).
The player has repeat and slide show functions.
The player can play videos (MTV format), display videos (JPG or BMP format) and read E-books
(TXT format).
You can connect the player to a PC with the USB cable in order to use it as a mass storage device.
The player has a build-in rechargeable Li-polymer battery.
You can re-install the firmware using the supplied CD.
You can set the play so that it turns off automatically after a preset time.

USINGTHEBATTERY
This product is equipped with a rechargeable Li-polymer battery.
1. To charge the battery, connect the player to a PC with the USB cable supplied. You can also connect
your player to an AC outlet with 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz using the supplied AC/USB adaptor.
2. When the battery is being charged, the icon will change from an empty battery
to a full
one
. The charging time is approximately 2 hours.
3. To stop recharging the battery, disconnect the USB cable or AC/USB adapter.
Notes:
zBefore using the player for the first time, please recharge it.
zIn order for your player to charge, your computer must be turned on.
zThe player can only charge the Li-polymer battery if the output voltage and current comply with USB
standards: 5V and less than 500mA current. If the charging voltage and current are out of this range,
this will damage the battery and the player. The warranty does not cover any damage caused by
failure to respect this remark.
zDo not overcharge the player, as this may shorten the battery life.
zCAUTION: Do not disassemble, crush, short-circuit or incinerate your battery as it may cause fire,
injury, burns, or other hazards.
BASIC OPERATIONS
Turn on the player and play music
1. Connect the earphones to the earphones jack.
2. Switch the【HOLD】knob to the unlock position.
3. Press and hold down the button to turn on the player and enter the main menu (the default is
“MUSIC” mode).
4. Press the button to enter music menu.
5. To return to the main menu, press and hold the M button.

6. To Play/Pause the music, press the button.
7. To select the next or previous file, press the【+/-】buttons.
8. To turn off the player, press and hold down the button.
Note: If you cannot switch on the player or it does not work normally once you have switched it on, please
reset it by pressing the RESET button with a sharp point.
Volume Adjustment
When playing music or a video (MTV) file or in Voice or FM radio mode, press the R/V button to switch to
volume mode and then press the【+/-】buttons to adjust the volume.
MenuNavigation
1. Press and hold the M button to enter the main menu. Press it briefly to return to the previous
submenu.
2. Press the【+/-】buttons to select your desired mode: “MUSIC”, “FILE”, “VOICE”, “PHOTO”, “FM”,
“SETUP”, “VIDEO” or “EBOOK”).
“MUSIC”“”USIC”
In the main menu, press the【+/-】buttons to select “MUSIC” mode and enter by pressing the
button. Use the【+/-】buttons to select the files and press the button to start playback.
Music Playback Functions
In music playback mode, press the M button to enter a sub-menu and use the【+/-】buttons to select
one of the following functions: “File”, “Classified”, “Play List”, “Repeat”, “Equalizer”, “3D”, “Slide Show”,
“A-B” or “Play Rate”. Press the button to enter the selected mode.
“Files”
1. Press the【+/-】buttons to select a music file and press the button to start playback.

2. You can delete the music file or add it to the “My List” (stored in the “Play List”) by pressing the R/V
button. Use the
【+/-】buttons to select “Add to list" or “Delete” and press the button to confirm.
3. Press the Mbutton to return to the previous sub-menu.
“Classified”
This option allows you to classify your music files according to the 4 following criteria:
“Genre”, ”Artist”, ”Album” or “Title”. If you would like to sort your files, use the【+/-】buttons to select
“Yes”. If not, select “No” to cancel this function. Then press the button to confirm.
Notes:
1. The player may take a long time to build the classified list. During the process, you can press the M
button to cancel the function.
2. After the classifying process is complete, a menu appears that allows you to choose the criteria
according to which you would like to classify your files.
3. You can also use the “Music Classification” system to download, create or delete music classification
databases on your PC. The program ClassifyMusic_V1.5 will download the music files into the
Root\MUSIC folder automatically. For more details, refer to the next section: ”Installation and
Operation”.
Installation and operation of the “Music Classification” system
1. Connect the player to a PC with one of the following operating systems: Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
2. Insert the instruction and installation CD into the PC and enter the folder named
“ClassifyMusic_V1.5”.
3. Double-click the application “Music Classify”to display the following menu:

4. To download the music files to the player:
4.1) Click “Select Music” or “Select Music Directory” to input music files with “.mp3” or “.wma” formats,
one by one or the whole directory.
4.2) Click the command “Download Music” to download the selected music to the player and
create/refresh the music classification database.

5. Click “Delete Music” to delete the music files on the player and create /refresh the music classification
database.
NOTE:
1. The program “ClassifyMusic_V1.5” can only classify the music files within the player;
2. You will find more information on the “Classify Music” program on the instruction and installation CD
(“ClassifyMusic_V1.5”→“Music_Classification” Word file).
“Play List”
In the “Play List” menu, you will find your selection of music files (My List) in *pla, *m3u and *wpl format.
Open one of the lists and select a music file. Then you can press the button to play it. Press the R/V
button to delete the file from the play list or delete it permanently from the player. Use the
【+/-】buttons
to select “Del list" or “Delete” and press the button to confirm.
NOTE:
1. Please build the play list from the music files present on the device (excluding *pla play list);
2. You must save the play list files in *.m3u or *.wpl format, in the [Root\PLAYLIST] folder;
3. The music will pause for several seconds when a Play List is being opened.
“Repeat”
The player allows you to select different playback modes: “Repeat One”, “Repeat All”, “Random All”,
“Folder Normal”, “Folder Repeat”, “Folder Random” or “No Repeat”).

“Equalizer”
This player allows you to select different EQ modes: “Normal”, “Pop”, “Rock”, “Classic”, “Jazz”, “Bass” or
“Custom EQ”.
Custom EQ: You can personalize the EQ settings using the R/V button to scroll through the EQ levels and
press the【+/-】buttons to adjust the level.
NOTE: The EQ effect is not obvious while playing WMA format music files.
“3D”
The 3D sound effect can be turned on or off.
“Slide Show”
You can select the interval of the slide show: “Off”, “5 Seconds”, “10 Seconds”, “15 Seconds”, “30
Seconds” or “60 Seconds”.
You can use slide show maker program on the instruction and installation CD to make slide show files for
your player. This program can transform many images files into a single slide show file. The principle of
the slide show on your player is similar to the screen saver on Windows. When a music file is played and
no buttons are pressed for a while, the pictures in the slide show file will be displayed one by one in one of
the four modes: “Normal”, “Shutter” (Left to Right), “Shutter” (Top to Bottom), “Circle”. Different modes
show different visual effects.
NOTE: The player can only read slide show files (SLS) created by the Slide Show Maker program.
Important: In order for the slide show to be displayed, you can only put one SLS file at once in the
SLS.DIR folder.

Slide Show Maker
Insert the instruction and installation CD into the PC and enter the folder named
“SlideShowMaker_V1.12.0”. Then double-click “Slide Show Maker”to display the following menu:
1) “Image File Name” – Lists the different image files.
2) “Preview Window” – Preview of an image file and the chosen slide show mode.
3) “Mode” Select one of these four modes: “Normal”, “Shutter” (Left to Right), “Shutter “(Top to Bottom),
“Circle”.

4) “Load Image” – Input image files (*.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif).
5) “Preview” – Preview of the slide show.
6) “Transform” – Transform all image input files into a single slide show file
.7) “Cancel” – Cancel preview mode or transformation.
8) “Delete” – Delete the selected image files in the list on the left hand side.
9) “Up” – Move the selected image file up in the list on the left hand side.
10) “Down” – Move the selected image file down in list on the left hand side.
Slide Show operation
1) Open the “Slide Show” file to view the configuration settings: Language, Panel Size and Panel Type.
NOTE: You must set the panel size to be “96X64”.
2) Click the command “Load Image” to load images (*.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif)
3) Manage the image file name list (Using the commands “Delete”, “Up” and “Down”).
4) Select a slide show mode and preview it: “Normal”, “Shutter” (Left to Right), “Shutter” (Top to Bottom),
“Circle”.
5) Click the command “Transform” to transform the images into an SLS file.
NOTE: You will find more information about the slide show in the instruction and installation CD (folder
“SlideShowMaker_V1.12.0” →“Slide_Show_Maker” Word file).
“A-B”
This option allows you to repeat a specific section. Press the R/V button to select point A and press it
again to select point B. The player will play section A-B repeatedly. Press the R/V button a third time to
cancel the A-B repeat mode.
“Play Rate”
You can select the desired playback speed among the following options: 1.00X, 1.14X, 1.33X, 1.60X,
0.50X, 0.67X, 0.80X.
NOTE: This function is not available for WMA files.

“FILE”
In the main menu, press the【+/-】buttons to select “FILE” and enter by pressing the button.
1. Use the【+/-】buttons to select a file and press the button to confirm.
2. To delete a file, press the Mbutton to return to the file list and then press the R/V button to enter
“Delete” menu, and press the【+/-】buttons to select “Yes” or “No”. Then, press the button to
confirm.
“VOICE”
In the main menu, press the 【+/-】buttons to select the “Voice” mode and enter by pressing the
button.
1. Press the【+/-】buttons to select a recorded file, and press the button to play this file.
2. Press and hold the R/V button to start recording.
3. Press the button to pause or resume recording. Press the Mbutton to save the recorded file in
the folder “MICIN.DIR”.
4. In playback mode, press the Mbutton to display the different sub-menus: ”File”, “Repeat”, “Equalizer”,
“3D”, “A-B”, “Play Rate”. You will find more explanations about these functions in the “MUSIC”
section.
“PHOTO”
In the main menu, press the 【+/-】buttons to select “PHOTO” mode and enter by pressing the
button.
1. Press the
【+/-】buttons to select a photo file and press the button repeatedly to view the photos
one by one in sequence. You can also use the【+/-】buttons to skip to the next or previous file.

2. To delete the file, press the Mbutton to return to the photo list and then press the R/V button to enter
the “Delete” menu, and press the
【+/-】buttons to select “Yes” or “No”. Then press the button
to confirm.
NOTE:
1. The player supports JPEG and BMP format image files.
2. If the JPEG image files have thumbnails, you can see these photos in a miniature format in the
PHOTO list.
“FMRADIO”
In the main menu, press the
【+/-】 buttons to select “FM” mode and enter by pressing the button.
Listening to the radio
Note: To receive a radio reception, the earphones must be connected to the player since they serve as an
FM antenna.
Press the button to switch from tuning mode to preset mode and vice versa.
2. In “Tuning” mode, press and hold down the 【+/-】button to automatically search forwards or
backwards for a station. To fine tune, press the 【+/-】button repeatedly to adjust the frequency.
2.1 To save stations manually, press the Mbutton and select “Save Preset”. Press the button to
confirm and use【+/-】button to select the preset station number.
2.2 To save stations automatically, press the Mbutton and select “Auto Scan”. Press the button to
start auto scanning. The player will store all the stations automatically.

3. In “Preset” mode, press the【+/-】buttons to select the preset stations. The player can memorize up
to 30 stations.
Press the Mbutton to enter the sub-menu offering the following options: “Delete” or “Auto Scan”.
FM Recording
Press and hold down the R/V button to start recording FM stations. Press the button to pause or
resume recording. Press the Mbutton to save the recorded file in the folder “FMIN.DIR”.
“SETUP”
In the main menu, press the【+/-】buttons to select “SETUP” and enter by pressing the button. The
following settings are available: “Power”, “Language”, “Display”, “Record” and “System Tools”.
“Power”
“Auto off”: The player can be turned off automatically after a certain duration:“5min”, “10min”,
“30min”.Select “OFF” to disable this function.
“Always on”
•If you switch off the automatic stop function and switch on the “Always on” function, the player will
never switch off, even when it is not playing an audio file.
•If you switch off the automatic stop function and switch off the “Always on” function, the player will
switch off if no audio file is being played.
•If you have set the player to switch off automatically after a certain duration and you have switched on
the “Always on” function, the player will switch off when the set duration has elapsed, starting from the
time when no audio file is being played.
•If you have set the player to switch off automatically after a certain duration and you have switched off
the “Always on” function, the player will switch off after this duration has elapsed.

“Language”
This option allows you to select the OSD language: “English”, “French”, “German”, “Italian”, “Spanish” or
“Portuguese”.
“Display”
Use the【+/-】buttons to adjust the following settings:
“Brightness”: Adjust the screen brightness.
“Backlight”: This option allows you to determine the duration after which the screen backlight will switch
off if no buttons are pressed on the player. You can choose one of the following durations:
“5 seconds”, “10 seconds”, “30 seconds”. If you want the backlight to stay on, select “ON”.
“Record”
“Quality”: Select the recording quality: “Long Time”, “Normal Quality” or “High Quality”.
VAD: This option allows you to enable the Voice Active Detector function, which will start recording once
it detects a voice. It will stop recording when no voice is detected.
AGC: You can enable the Automatic Gain Control function that can automatically adjust the recording
sound level to avoid volume levels that are too loud or too low.
“System Tools”
“Format”: Select “Quick” or “Complete”. Warning: if you format the player, all the files will be deleted.
“Reset”: Use this option to restore the default settings.
“Refresh”: Use this option to update your files according to the genre, album and title.
“File Sort”: You can select “Force Sort” or “Auto Sort” to sort the files immediately or let the player sort
the files automatically when necessary.
“System Info”: This option allows you to check the firmware version (“FW”), the free flash memory
capacity (“FREE”) and the total flash memory capacity (“ALL”).

“VIDEO”
MTV Video Converter
In order to play video files on this player, you must convert them into MTV format. The MTV video
converter converts video files to MTV format. Insert the instruction and installation CD into your PC and
enter the folder named “VideoConverter_V2.9”. Then double- click “Video Convert” to display the
following menu:

1.Click “Input Video” to select the video file you wish to convert.
2.Select “Advanced Setting” to set the “Output Video Quality” and select one of the following options:
“High Quality”, “Normal Quality”, “Medium Quality”, “Low Quality”).
3.Set “Output Frame Size” to 96 x 64. To do this, click on the arrow at the right to open the drop-down
list and select “96 x 64”.
4.The default “Output Audio Quality” is “Good”. This is a default setting that cannot be changed.

5.You can replace the video clip audio track with an audio file of your choice. Click “Input Music” and
choose a music file to replace the original video clip audio track.
6. You can also convert a segment of the video clip rather than the whole clip. Drag the scroll bar to
select the starting or finishing time and confirm by clicking the arrow to the left of the corresponding
time.
7. You can preview the clip by clicking “MTV Preview” and then on “Start Preview”.
8. Click “Output Video” to select the location where the video file will be saved. Click “Start Conversion” to
convert the video file to MTV format.
Playing MTV Video files
In the main menu, press the 【+/-】 buttons to select “VIDEO” mode and enter by pressing the
button. Select an MTV video file and press the button to start playback. Press it again to pause
