SET-UP
1. Before unpacking, find a suitable, level location to place your new purchase. Due to the weight
and to avoid potential damage, use safety precautions when lifting or moving the turntable.
We suggest washing your hands before handling the turntable to avoid prints on the metal.
Carefully remove all components from the packaging and place them on a flat surface to avoid
any potential for damage.
2. Remove tape from tone arm and plug mini XLR into top plate. (Figure 1)
Figure 1

6
3. Place the platter directly over the shaft (Figure 2) that protrudes from the top plate making
sure to lower it straight down to avoid scratching the decorative bezel or damaging the metal
shaft in the platter.

4. To connect your turntable to your sound system, plug in the two RCA cables to the RCA
outputs on the rear of the turntable to the RCA line level inputs of your stereo receiver or
active speakers. Before connecting power to your turntable, please ensure you have read and
understood the safety precautions. Connect the power cord to the power module on the rear of
the turntable and plug into a grounded wall outlet. To limit the potential for interference, avoid
using outlets on the same circuit as dimmer switches. Put the belt around the motor pulley and
platter, spin the platter by hand and the belt will self-level.
5. Each step of the grooved pulley is precision-machined to provide exact speeds for 33 1/3 and
45 RPM operation (Figure 3). For 33 1/3 RPM operation, place the belt in the upper slimmer groove
of the pulley. For 45 RPM operation, place the belt in the lower wider groove of the pulley.

6. Place the leather slipmat on top of the platter. Switch on the main power module at the rear
of the turntable. Ensure your tone arm lifter (Figure 4) is in the up position. Remove the cover
from the cartridge and remove the tone arm from its resting clamp. Ensure your stereo receiver
or active speakers are at your desired volume. Position the stylus (Figure 5) above your record
and lower tone arm lifter (Figure 4) when you are ready to start enjoying your new turntable.
*Be sure to replace cartridge cover when turntable is not in use.

7. The Runwell Turntable is leveled by our artisans in Detroit, but if ever it becomes unleveled,
it is equipped with 4 isolating feet. You can level them with a run-of-the-mill bubble level and
individually loosen or tighten the feet until they are the correct height.
CARTRIDGE
The Runwell Turntable comes with a moving magnet cartridge ready to use.
The most reliable way to quickly troubleshoot any issues with your turntable performance is by
inspecting the cartridge. First, ensure that the stylus and your record are both clean using a
specialized brush (do not use a cloth or rag). Additionally, ensure that the cartridge is properly aligned.

the other metals and oils including oils on your fingers. To extend the beauty of your turntable,
avoid direct sunlight and excessive moisture.

7. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
8. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has
two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third
grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided
plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
9. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

12
10. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
11. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or
sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
12. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus
has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
14. Suitably rated CERTIFIED/APPROVED power supply cord and plug with ground/earth pin
appropriate for the receptacle or socket outlet of the applicable country is required to be used.
Only use power supply cord provided with the unit.

16. Risk of Electric Shock – No user serviceable part inside.
17. Fuse should be replaced by qualified personnel. Fuse is rated 250 V, 0.5 A, T (Slow Blow)
18. Operating ambient requirements:
Temperature: 10°C-45°C, 50°F-110°F
Humidity: <95% non-condensing
Altitude: <2000 meters, <6500 feet [*]
Electrical ratings:
Maximum output voltage: +/- 16V open circuit at each RCA connector
Maximum output current from each line-level RCA output into short circuit: +/- 50mA d.c.
Maximum mains power consumption from 120VAC input: 15.5W
Recommended loading on each RCA output: >5 kohm in parallel with <1 nF
19. Disconnection from mains power: Complete disconnection from mains power is achieved by
(1) turning off the mains power switch in the rear of the unit, or (2) unplugging the power cord
from the rear of the unit at the appliance inlet, or (3) unplugging the power cord from the mains
outlet in a plugstrip, power conditioner, or wall outlet. Method (1) is recommended, and the

13
product should be located with clearance between the rear surface and any surface behind it
to facilitate access to the power switch. To verify that the mains power has been disconnected,
test that the normal top surface rotary switch will fail to start platter rotation when the mains
power is disabled. Be sure to apply the removal force to the body of the power cord connectors
if methods (2) or (3) are used, to avoid potential damage to the power cord.
