HOW TO LAV VOUR KEYBOARD
The program disk helps you to understand how this
keyboard works, but let’s review here.
Adjust the volume o your monitor to a medium level.
You can also control the sound level through your
computer keyboard with the two cursor keys. The
CRSR =► key increases the volume and the
CRSR # decreases the volume.
Select your instrument (synthesizer, piano, or bass)
with the F5 key. You really have more than three
instruments to choose rom because each o these can
sound di erently at di erent octaves. For example, the
bass used in a higher octave sounds like a
harpsichord. Control the octave with the F3 and F1
unction keys. The F7 key can turn on or o both a
slide or a vibrato e ect. Use the shi t or shi t lock keys
to hold notes longer. Playing hint: The C-64 computer
keyboard has certain limitations. When playing more
than one note at a time, use the shi t key on the
opposite side o the keyboard rom your playing
position. I your playing to the right, use the le t shi t
key, and vice versa.
Use the space bar to bend pitches, and create unusual
sound e ects like those heard in today’s popular
music. Have un experimenting!
