Volymjustering
A-Com BT, WiCom: Bluetooth volymnivå justeras genom att trycka på VOL+ och

FM XPB, WiCom FM: Justera volymen för radion genom att trycka på VOL+ och VOL-. Bluetooth

Multi XPB, WiCom Multi: Justera volymen för radion genom att trycka på VOL+ och VOL-. Justera volymen för Bluetooth genom att trycka på VOL +

Natural XPB, Multi XPB, WiCom Natural, WiCom Multi: Push – To - Listen
När den roterande knappen är tryckt yktig, den nivåanpassande funktionens förstärkning justeras på maximet, och den radion stängs i 30 sekunder
som möjliggör kommunikation, till exempel, med din medarbetare. Man kan ta ur bruk den Push – To – Listen funktionen genom att trycka den
roterande knappen igen.
Favoritkanal
Favoritkanalens funktion lagrar fem av dina favoritradiokanaler i minnet. När du har lyssnat på samma kanal i mer än fem minuter, lagras kanalen
automatiskt i minnet.
FM XPB, WiCom FM: Bläddra fram dina favoritradiokanaler genom att trycka på < eller > knapparna i mer än en sekund.
Multi XPB, WiCom Multi: Bläddra fram dina favoritradiokanaler genom att trycka på ratten i en sekund.
Radiomottagare Lokal/DX läge (Områden med svag mottagningssignal)
Det nns två mottagningslägen i radiomottagaren, Lokal och DX. Lokal är ett grundinställt läge för radiomottagaren. I DX läget söker radiomottagaren
även kanaler med svag mottagningssignal. Om den önskade kanalen inte anträffas, bör radiomottagaren ställas i DX läge. Genom att trycka på VOL+
knappen i en sekund ställs radion in i DX läge. Detta följs av två ljudsignaler som hörs från öronkåporna. Genom att trycka på VOL- knappen längre
än en sekund, ställs radion in i Lokal - läge. Enbart en ljudsignal följer vid utförandet av denna funktion. Det rekommenderas att ställa in radion i
DX-läge i områden med svag mottagning.
Automatisk sparfunktion för batteri
Om ingen reglerknapp används på fem timmar, ger den automatiska sparfunktionen ifrån sig tre tonsignaler. Samtidigt stängs elektroniken av.

Skapa Bluetooth-anslutning
Silentex hörse är en godkänd Bluetooth -produkt med A2DP, HFP - och HSP - proler. Silentex - produkter som är utrustade med Bluetooth fungerar
med alla godkända Bluetooth - kompatibla specikationer. Eftersom dessa Bluetooth - aktiverat produkter passerade dessa tester, kommer de troligen
med andra ” Bluetooth Qualied” produkter. Dock, vi kan inte garantera kompatibilitet med alla Bluetooth - produkter på marknaden.
Om din telefon stöder Bluetooth - prolen a2dp och har en funktion musikspelare, kan du även använda telefonen för att spela musik med hörselskydd.
Skapa en Bluetooth - anslutning.
Innan du använder den sladdlösa kommunikations funktioner, en anslutning mellan hörselskyddet och Bluetooth mobiltelefon måste skapas.
Anslut din mobiltelefon till hörselskyddet på följande sätt:
1. Koppla på strömmen till hörselskyddet med ON/OFF- knappen. Bluetooth - indikatorn börjar långsamt blinka grönt.
2. Placera din mobiltelefon så att den söker Bluetooth anordningen. (Se i bruksanvisningen för din Bluetooth mobiltelefon.)
3. När mobiltelefonen har hittat en utrustning som heter Silentex, har hörselskyddet och mobiltelefonen hittat varandra. Följ mobiltelefonens bruksan-
visning för att godkänna uppkopplingen. Hörselskydds pin- kod är 0000. Alla mobiltelefoner betygar inte en kod.
4. När en lyckad Bluetooth förbindelse är etablerad, börjar Bluetooth - indikatorn långsamt blinka omväxlande med rött och grönt ljuset. En symbol för
Bluetooth förbindelse visas på de esta mobilers skärmar när förbindelse är etablerad. Ljud från mobiltelefon hörs från hörselskyddens öronkåpor. Radio/
omgivningsljud funktion stängs automatiskt av under inkommande samtal. Funktionen för radio/omgivningsljud återkommer efter ungefär 10 sekunder
efter att telefonsamtalet avslutats. Obs! Eventuella ljudsignaler från mobiltelefonen, även mobiltelefonens knappljud stänger av radio/omgivningsljud.
Ringa ett samtal
Att ringa ett samtal görs som vanligt. Talet överförs genom hörselskyddens mikrofon. Ljudet hörs från hörselskyddets kåpor.
Obs! I bullrig miljö är det viktigt att placera mikrofonen nära munnen så att talet överförs tydligt, oavsett bakgrundsljudet.
Svara på ett inkommande samtal och avsluta ett samtal görs genom att trycka på ratten (se bild, ref. 4)
Volymjustering
Under ett telefonsamtal kan mobiltelefonens volymnivå justeras genom att trycka på VOL+ och VOL- eller på vanligt sätt från mobiltelefonens reglerknappar.
Multi XPB:Justera volymen för Bluetooth genom att trycka på VOL + eller VOL- knappen i över 1 sekund eller mer.
Avsluta Bluetooth förbindelse
Avsluta Bluetooth förbindelsen från din mobiltelefon. Om du inte använder dina hörselskydd, tryck på ON/OFF för att stänga av strömtillförseln till
hörselskyddet.
Återupprätta Bluetooth förbindelse
1. Sätt på strömmen till hörselskyddet på ON/OFF- knappen. Om mobiltelefonens Bluetooth funktion är aktiverad, etableras förbindelsen mellan hör-
selskyddet och mobiltelefonen automatiskt.
2. Om den förbindelsen inte är skapat automatiskt, sök Silentex från din mobiltelefons Bluetooth och aktivera den. En förbindelse behövs göras endast
en gång, senare när du kopplar upp dig kommer mobiltelefonen att minnas hörselskyddet. Om du kopplat upp din telefon till någon annan Bluetooth -
anordning, måste en förbindelse göras igen till hörselskyddet (beror på telefonmodellen).
Batteri och laddning
Varningssignal för låg batterinivå
Tre toner kommer att höras ungefär 10 timmar innan batteriet är helt tomt. Dessa toner är repeterat var 4:e minut. När endast 2-3 timmar återstår av
drifttiden, givar hörselskyddet åtta tonsignaler är hört och upprepas var 5:e minut. Batteriet ska laddas så snart som möjligt när varningssignalen för
låg batterinivå hörs. När batteriet är helt tomt, är åtta tonsignaler hört och elektroniken stängs.
Laddning
Det nns ett Li - ion batteri i Silentex elektroniska hörselskydd. Batteriernas livslängd är ca 1000 laddning gånger, vilket motsvarar sju års använd-
ning. Det tar ca 6 timmar att ladda ett alldeles tomt batteri. Under laddningen lyser kontrollampan rött. När batteriet är fulladdat, lyser kontrollampan
svagt rött. Kontrollampan släcks helt 10 timmar efter att laddningen påbörjades. Viktigt: den första laddningen måste vara över 12 timmar. Li - ion
batterier är särskilt begränsade i temperaturer under -15ºC. Man kan ladda batterierna trots att de inte är helt tomma. Använd endast original Silentex
laddare för att ladda batteriet. Annars kan hörselskyddets laddningsenhet skadas.
Funktionstiden med en laddning:
A-Com BT, WiCom : 1OO timmar stand-by och 20 timmar när Bluetooth anslutning är aktiv.
Natural XPB, FM XPB, WiCom FM, WiCom Natural: 60 timmar när omgivningsljudet reproduktion ät aktiverat / med FM-radio aktiverat och 20 timmar
med Bluetooth funktionen.
Multi XPB, WiCom Multi: 50 timmar när FM-radio och omgivningsljudet reproduktion är aktiv, utan Bluetooth funktionen. 20 timmar när Bluetooth
funktionen är aktiv.

Hörselskydd
Opfylder standard EN 352-1:2002, EN 352-3:2002, EN 352-4, EN 352-6:2002 og EN 352-8
Produkt/modell: A-Com BT, Natural XPB, FM XPB, WiCom FM, Multi XPB; ett hörselskydd med öronkåpor och reglerbar hjässbygel. A-Com BT
Cap, Natural XPB Cap, FM XPB Cap, Multi XPB Cap, WiCom Cap, WiCom Natural Cap, WiCom Multi Cap: ett hörselskydd med öronkåpor och
skyddshjälm montering. A-Com BT NB, Natural XPB NB, FM XPB NB, WiCom FM NB, Multi XPB NB: hörselskyddkåpor med nackbygel av fjäderstål
och hjässbygel av plast. Tätningsringarna är utbytbara med formbar skumfyllning, överdrag av PVC. Hjässbygel är gjort av fjäderstål, överdrag är
av PVC med vaddering. Cap modeller: justeringsspakar är gjort av fjäderstål och plast. Natural XPB, Multi XPB, WiCom Natural, WiCom Multi: detta
hörselskydd är försedd med elektronisk ljudåtergivning av omgivningsljud och audioanslutning. Användaren skall kontrollera funktionen innan produk-
ten används. Varning: den ljudnivå av det elektroniska ljudåtergivning kan vara större som det omgivande ljudnivå.
Rekommendation: användaren måste till se att hörselskyddet har anpassats, justerats och skötts enligt tillverkarens anvisningar. Se till att skyddet
används under hela vistelsen i bullerområdet och kontrollera regelbundet om skyddet behöver underhåll. Varning: om dessa anvisningar inte följs,
kommer hörselskyddets bullerdämpande effekt att minska avsevärt.
Anpassning/justering hjässbygel modeller:
1. Vid användning med bygeln i position över huvudet.
2. Dra kåporna till nedersta läget (g. 1).
3. Placera kåporna runt öronen (g. 2).
4. Justera längden av hjässbygeln tills den sitter bekvämt över huvudet. Se till att kåporna sitter stadigt och tätar ordentligt runt öronen(g. 3).

Anpassning/justering skyddshjälm fastspända modeller:
Cap modeller är avsedda för att användas fastspända på skyddshjälmar. Hörselskydden anpassas till skyddshjälmar med hjälp av en adapter.
Monteringen av en adapter till fjäder boet (g. 7-10)
- Delar: a) fjäder boet b) adaptern c) låset (g. 7)
- Montera fjäder boet och adaptern ihop (g. 8)
- Skjuta låset in i pluggen i fjäder boet genom att börja nerifrån (g. 9/10)
- Monteringen av kåporna till skyddshjälmen (g. .10-15)
- Fastgör kåporna till hjälmen som visat på teckningen (g. 11-12)
- Placera och justera kåporna runt öronen (g. 13). Se till att kåporna sitter stadigt och tätar ordentligt runt öronen.

Rengöring:Lösningsmedel får ej användas. Kåporna rengöres med mild tvållösning och avtorkas noga innan de återanvänds. Grova borstar och
annat material som kan skada dämpningsfodret eller tätningsringarna får inte användas. Doppa inte öronkåporna i vatten. Använd bara rengöring-
smedel som inte är till fara för användaren. Vissa kemiska ämnen kan inverka skadligt på denna produkt. Tillverkaren ger på begäran ytterligare
information.
Skötsel: Hörselskyddet och särskilt tätningsringarna kan försvagas efter någon tids användning och bör regelbundet kontrolleras för exempelvis
sprickor och ljudläckor. Byt ut tätningarna vid behov, senast varje halvår. Dra av den gamla tätningsringen (g. 5), placera noga den nya ringen på
exakt plats i kåpan och tryck fast den ordentligt hela vägen runt. Hjässbygeln får inte böjas eller justeras i onödan, eftersom bygelns rätta fjäderkraft
är viktig för maximal dämpning. Öppna inte öronkåpor eller dra av dämpningsfodret. Garantin gäller ej om öronkåpor har öppnats.
Förvaring: Före och efter användning bör skyddet förvaras på en ren och dammfri plats. Förvara inte elektroniska hörselskydd i temperaturer över
+50ºC , t.ex. bakom en vindruta eller ett fönster. Under långvarig användning av hörselskydden uppstår vanligtvis fukt i kuporna. För att förhindra att
elektroniken rostar och får fuktskador är det viktigt att man torkar fukten som uppstått i kuporna. Efter långvarig användning det rekommenderas att
man uppbevarar skyddskåporna vikta utåt så att kåpor och dämpningsfodret har möjlighet att torka.
Tillbehör Observera: Fästning av komfortringar (svett- och värmeskydd) till tätningsringar kan verka på hörselskydds akustiska funktion.

Adjusting volume
A-Com BT, WiCom: Adjust Bluetooth volume by Vol + and Vol - buttons or from
the mobile phone’s control buttons.
Natural XPB, WiCom Natural: Adjust ambient sound volume with rotary switch.
The Bluetooth volume level can be adjusted by pressing VOL+ and VOL- or from the mobile phone’s control buttons.
FM XPB, WiCom FM: Adjust FM radio volume with rotary switch. The volume level of Bluetooth can
be adjusted by pressing VOL+ and VOL- or from the mobile phone’s control buttons.
Multi XPB, WiCom Multi: Adjust volume of radio by pressing VOL+ and VOL- buttons. Adjust the volume of Bluetooth by pressing VOL+ or VOL-
button for over 1 second or more. Volume of level dependent function can be adjusted by turning the rotary switch.
Natural XPB, Multi XPB, WiCom Natural, WiCom Multi: Push – To – Listen
When the rotary switch is pressed briey, the amplication of the level dependent sets in maximum, and the radio is muted for 30 seconds enabling
you to communicate easily e.g. with your coworker. You can inactive the Push –To - Listen function by pressing the rotate switch again.
Favourite channel
Favourite channel function stores ve of your favourite radio channels into the memory. When you have listened to the same channel for over ve
minutes, the channel gets stored into memory automatically.
FM XPB, WiCom FM: Browse your favourite radio channels by pressing < or > button for over one second.
Multi XPB, WiCom Multi: Browse your favourite radio channels by pressing and holding the rotary switch for over one second.
Radio receiver Local / DX mode (Areas with weak reception signal)
There are two modes in the radio receiver, Local and DX. Local is a default mode of the radio receiver. In the DX mode radio receiver also searches
channels with weak reception signal. If the desired channel is not found, the radio receiver should be set into DX mode. By pressing VOL+ button for
one second, radio is set into the DX mode. By pressing VOL- button over one second, the radio is set into Local-mode. It is recommended to set the
radio into DX-mode in areas with weak reception.
Automatic power save function
If control buttons are not pressed in ve hours, the automatic power saving function will give three signal tones. Electronics will be shut off simulta-
neously.

WIRELESS BLUETOOTH CONNECTION
This hearing protector is a qualied Bluetooth v2.1 device with A2DP, HFP and HSP proles. This qualication program ensures that all Bluetooth
products comply with the Bluetooth Specication. Because these Bluetooth® enabled products passed these tests, they will most likely work with
other Bluetooth Qualied products. However, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every Bluetooth product on the market.
If your phone supports the A2DP Bluetooth prole and has a music player feature, you can also use the phone to play music with the hearing protec-
tor.
Creating Bluetooth wireless connection
Before using the wireless communication functions, a connection between the hearing protector and Bluetooth enabled mobile phone must be creat-
ed. The connection is created as instructed below:
1. Turn power on (ON / OFF key). The Bluetooth indicator will soon start ashing green light slowly.
2. Set your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone to search Bluetooth devices. (See detailed information in your mobile phone’s user instructions)
3. When your mobile phone has found a “Silentex”-named device, the hearing protector and mobile phone have identied each other. Follow your
mobile phone user instructions to accept the connection. Hearing protector´s PIN code is 0000. Most mobile phones do not ask the PIN code.
4. When the Bluetooth connection has been created successfully the Bluetooth-indicator will start ashing alternately in red and green. A
symbol of Bluetooth connection will appear on most mobile phones’ screen when the connection is on. Sounds of mobile phone will be heard
from hearing protector’s ear cups. Radio / level dependent function will automatically be shut off during an incoming call. The function of
radio / level dependent will return back on in aproximately 10 seconds after the phone call has been terminated. Note! Any sound signal of
mobile phone, also sounds of mobile phone’s keys will shut off the radio / level dependent.
Making a phone call
Making a phone call is done as usually. Speech is transmitted through hearing protector’s microphone. Voice is heard from the hearing protector
ear cups. Note! In noisy environment it is important to place the microphone close to mouth so that the speech is transmitted clearly despite the
background noise.
Answering to an incoming call and ending a phone call is done by pressing the rotary switch (see picture, ref. 4)
Adjusting volume
During the phone call the volume level of mobile phone can be adjusted by pressing VOL+ and VOL- or from the mobile phone’s control buttons.
Multi XPB: Adjust the volume of Bluetooth by pressing VOL+ or VOL- button for over 1 second or more.
Disconnecting Bluetooth connection
Disconnect the Bluetooth connection from your mobile phone. If you are not using your hearing protector, press ON/OFF to shut off the power of the
hearing protector.
Re-creating a Bluetooth connection
1. Turn the power on from your hearing protector (ON / OFF button). If the mobile phone’s Bluetooth function is activated, the connection
between the hearing protector and mobile phone will be created automatically.
2. If the connection is not made automatically, search “Silentex” from your mobile phone menu and activate it.
The device search and match process needs to be done only once. After that the hearing protector “Silentex” will remain in your mobile phone
memory. If the mobile phone be used also with other Bluetooth enabled devices in between, the connection creation must be created again.
Note Some differences may occur, depending on model of mobile phone.
Battery and Charging
Low battery warning
Four tones will be heard some 10 hours before the battery is completely empty. Tones will be repeated in every 4 minutes. When only 2-3 of operating
hours is left, eight tones are heard and tones will be repeated in every 2 minutes. When low battery warning is heard, charge the battery as soon as

Charging instructions
These electronic hearing protectors are equipped with a Li-Ion battery. The operating life of a Li-Ion battery is about 1000 charging cycles, which equals
average use of several years. Charging a completely empty battery will take about 6 hours and the charger indicator will indicate red light during the
charge. The charger indicator will change into dim red when the battery is fully charged and it will turn off completely after 10 hours from starting the
charging. When using the device for the rst time to use, the rst charge must be over 12 hours. The Li-Ion battery will not reach its full capacity
in temperature below –15ºC. The battery can be charged even if it is not completely empty. Use only the original Silentex charger for charging the
battery. Using any other charger may damage the batteries and will void your warranty.
Single charge offers following operating times:
A-Com BT, WiCom: 100 hours of stand-by or 20 hours of Bluetooth active
Natural XPB, FM XPB, WiCom Natural: 60 hours with leveldependent on or 20 hours with Bluetooth active
Multi XPB, WiCom Multi: 50 hours with FM radio, level dependent and Bluetooth in stand-by or 20 hours with Bluetooth in active

Hearing Protector
According to standards EN 352-1:2002, EN 352-3:2002, EN 352-4:2001/A1:2005, EN 352-6:2002, EN 352-8
Product/model: Silentex A-Com BT, Natural XPB, FM XPB, WiCom FM, Multi XPB; a cup model electronic hearing protector with adjustable headband.
A-Com BT Cap, Natural XPB Cap, FM XPB Cap, Multi XPB Cap, WiCom Cap, WiCom Natural Cap, WiCom Multi Cap; a cup model hearing protector
with a helmet mounting. A-Com BT NB, Natural XPB NB, FM XPB NB, WiCom FM NB, Multi XPB NB: a cup model hearing protector with neck band
made of stainless spring steel and plastic head strap. The type of cushions: replaceable, made of exible foam lling and PVC foil. Headband is made
of spring steel, cover material is PVC foil with foam lling. Helmet mounted models: adjustment arms are made of plastic and stainless steel. Natural
XPB, Multi XPB, WiCom Natural, WiCom Multi: This earmuff is provided with level-dependent attenuation and electrical audio input. The wearer should
check correct operation before use. Warning - The output of the level-dependent circuit of this hearing protector may exeed the external sound
level. The audibility of warning signals at a specic workplace may be impaired while using the entertainment facility.
Recommendation: The wearer should ensure that the ear-muffs are tted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Also ensure that the ear-muffs are worn at all times in noisy surroundings and that the ear-muffs are regularly inspected for serviceability. Warning: If
these recommendations are not adhered to, the protection afforded by the ear-muffs will be severely impaired.
Fitting/Adjustment instructions Headband models:
1. A cup model hearing protector designed to be used in an over the head position.
2. Adjust the ear-cups to their lowest position (g. 1).
3. Place the cups over the ears (g. 2).
4. Adjust the headband so that it rests comfortably on the top of the head. Make sure that the cushions are seated rmly on the sides of the head and
around the ears (g 3).
Fitting/Adjustment instructions neck band models:
Place the ear cups over the ears and adjust the head strap so that it rests comfortably on the top of the head. Make sure that the cushions are seated
rmly on the sides of the head and around the ears.
Fitting/Adjustment helmet mounted models:
Cap - ear muff models are designed to be worn in conjunction with a safety helmet. The ear muffs are attached to the safety helmet with adapters.
Instructions of attaching the adapter to the spring housing: (g 7-10):
- Parts: a) spring housing b) adapter c) locking ring (g 7)
- Place the spring housing and the adapter together (g 8)
- Insert the locking ring into the plug in the spring housing from down to up. (g 9 and 10).
The attachment of ear muffs to the safety helmet: (g 10-15):
- Position the ear muffs onto safety helmet as shown (g. 11-12).
- Place and adjust the ear cups over the ears (g. 13). Make sure that the cushions are seated rmly on the sides of the head and around the ears.
- To place ear-muff in the parking position and/or stand-by position see (g. 14 and 15).
Cleaning: Do not use solvents for cleaning. The ear-muffs can be cleaned with a damp cloth soaked with a warm soap solution and allowed to dry
before re-use. Do not use abrasive brushes or materials which may damage the foam pads or cushions. Do not immerse the ear-muffs in water. Use
only cleaning agents that are known to not be harmful to the wearer. This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further

Maintenance: Ear-muffs and in particular cushions may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for example for cracking
and leakage. Replace the cushions as necessary, at least every 6 months. Pull off the old cushions (g. 4) and press the new ones carefully and rmly
on all areas into their proper place on the ear-cups. The headband should not be exed or adjusted unnecessarily, as the correct pressure is an
important factor in maintaining the attenuation afforded by these ear-muffs. Do not open the cups or remove the foam liners. If the cups are opened,
warranty of the product is no longer valid.
Storage: Before and after using ear-muffs store them in a clean and dust free place. It is common that moisture may occur in side the ear cups in long-
term use. Therefore it is important to dry the moisture inside the cups to prevent damages caused by corrosion. After long-term use it is recommended
to turn the ear cups outwards to allow the foam linings to dry.
Spare parts: Note: The tting of hygiene covers (Comfort rings) to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs.
