Dear Customer, thank you for purchasing XG-900 Modeling Guitar. When the “Easy
Mode” is ON, each editing related to Amp Model, Gain, Reverb, Overdrive, will be
spread to all the Guitar Models. This manual will show you how you can switch to
the “Full Editing Mode”, in this way each bank of the guitar will be totally
“independent”. The User will have the possibility to have different settings in terms
of Target Guitar Pickup, Volume, Overdrive, Reverb, Amp Model, IR, for each bank.
We are sure you will enjoy the variety of sounds and the playability of a handcraft,
truly innovative, instrument.

the best possible realism, in terms of guitar tone emulation. XG-900
has a Telecaster model as pre-installed Source Guitar; therefore the
Learning Procedure is recommended only if you modify the physical
setup of the guitar. Here you have a tutorial video, made using the
pedal XT-1 https://youtu.be/vs4QqvRWO5I
The chromatic scale you must play is the same. At the end of each
pickup recording, rotate clockwise the Black Rotary Selector (D) to
confirm, or anticlockwise if you wish to repeat the recording of the
same pickup position.

Down= Anticlockwise

CONTROLS ON THE GUITAR FOR LIVE PERFORMANCES
D –Black Rotary Selector: by rotating it, clockwise or anticlockwise it is possible to
view the Guitar Selections. Tap it to change guitar model in use.
NB: In the Factory Configuration each Guitar Model occupies 5 consecutive banks
(1 bank for each position of the pickup selector). Each position of the Black Rotary
Selector (D) moves 5 banks Up/Down. This allows to change Guitar Model.
E –Amp/Fx Switch: Activate/Disactivate the Amp Models and the Effects
1. Amp Off
When this switch is in OFF position you are using only the Guitar Models, therefore
it is suggested to connect XG-900 to a guitar amp.
2. Amp On
When the switch is in ON position the Amp Models and the Effects on-board are
activated. This means that you can connect XG-900 directly to the mixer. Each
time that you activate the Amp/FX Section you can adjust the Gain percentage:
- Rotate clockwise or anticlockwise the Black Rotary Knob (D) until you get the
desired gain, then Tap it confirm.

7
You can check each setting adjustment through the Screen of the guitar.
NB: Unlike the EASY MODE, when using the XG-900 with the FULL EDITING MODE,
the gain adjustment will not be stored. This means that, if you disactivate and
activate again the AMP/FX Section, the gain level will go back to the one previously
set through the Menu Option (D) of the guitar or through the Editor for PC/Mac.
G –Overdrive On/Off: Activate/Disactivate the Overdrive Effect.
3. OD On
When the switch is in ON position the Overdrive Effect is activated. Now it is
possible to adjust the Overdrive Gain, then Tap the Black Rotary Knob (D) to
confirm and exit to the Guitar Models list.
NB: Unlike the EASY MODE, when using the XG-900 with the FULL EDITING MODE,
the gain adjustment will not be stored. This means that, if you disactivate and
activate again the Overdrive Switch, the gain level will go back to the one previously
set through the Menu Option (5. Overdrive) of the guitar or through the Editor for
PC/Mac.
I –Pickup Selector: The Modeling Guitar has a 5 ways Pickup Selector; each
position corresponds to a Bank of its Configuration, which is occupied by a Target
Guitar Pickup. XG-900 has been previously configured with 18 guitar models, each
of which has a variable number of pickups.

8
XG-900 EDITOR FOR MAC/PC
When the Easy Mode is Off, it is possible to Edit the Guitar Configuration easily and
quickly, through the Editor for PC/Mac.

Wi-Fi Setup for Real Time Editing
1) Connect your Computer to the Guitar, via Wi-Fi
•The Dongle Wi-Fi USB Adapter (Edimax EW-7811UN* - separated
accessory) is already inserted in the USB port of the Guitar. The USB Port
is located in the rear of the Guitar Body. Use a Allen Key to open the big
black panel and have access to the USB Port.
•Switch your XG-900 on. The dongle Wi-Fi will start to flash.
•Check the available Wi-Fi Networks on your Mac or PC and connect it to
the “SIM1Hotspot”, using the following password: 1234567890.

9
2) Launch the Software Configuration Manager 4.6 that you previously
installed in your Mac or PC.
•Click on “Connect” to load your XG-
900 Configuration and start editing
the sounds in Real Time.
•Click on “Setup” to configure the Wi-
Fi Network. This allows to connect
both, the Guitar and your Computer,
to the same Wi-Fi network. They will
be able to communicate one with
each other, without losing the internet
connection.
•Click on “Open Backup” if you wish to
open any Backup Configuration
(xt1.arc) without Real Time Editing.
3) WI-Fi Setup
•When connected to “SIM1 Hotspot”,
write name and password of your
Wi-Fi home or office network.
•Click “Write configuration”, the pedal
will automatically reboot, and both
devices will be connected to the
same router. XT-1 will memorize this
network and it will be automatically
connected to it every time is nearby
this Wi-Fi spot.
•Click on “Connect” to load your
Configuration and start editing the
sounds in Real Time.
NB: When XT-1 is connected to your Wi-Fi Network, SIM1Hotspot is not visible
anymore. Switch off your router and restart XT-1 if you wish to have a direct
connection with XT-1.
* The Editor and XT-1 are configured to be used with this Dongle Wi-Fi model only

10
4) Edit your XT-1 Configuration
•Don’t’ forget to save your new Configuration, otherwise the changes
applied will be lost, when you switch the pedal off. By clicking on “Save”
you will store your edits directly to the XT-1.
•By clicking on “Save as” you will be asked to rename and save a Backup
file (.arc) in any folder you wish.
