• Vor der 1. Inbetriebnahme immer die Gebrauchsanweisung beachten.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass Geräte- und Netzspannung übereinstimmen.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Schutzerdung des Gerätes ordnungsgemäss
angeschlossen ist.
• Das Gerät darf nicht in explosionsgefährdeter Umgebung verwendet
werden.
• Niemals durch Lüftungsschlitze, Löcher oder andere Öffnungen in das
Gerät hineingreifen oder Gegenstände hineinstecken.
• Das Gerät nicht hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit aussetzen.
• Es dürfen keine Veränderungen an den Geräten vorgenommen werden.
• Alle Reparaturen dürfen nur von einer vom Hersteller autorisierten
Werkstätte durchgeführt werden. Wenden Sie sich dazu an Ihren
simatherm-Händler.

1 Einleitung
Die simatherm Anwärmplatten Hot Plate Small und Hot Plate Large sind
für das Anwärmen von Wälzlagern oder anderen Maschinenelementen vor
deren Montage, vorgesehen.
Die Platten sind für Komponenten mit einem Gewicht von bis zu 5 kg (Hot
Plate Small) bzw. bis zu 10 kg (Hot Plate Large) geeignet.
Die maximale Temperatur der Platten beträgt 200°C . Die Geräte sind mit
einer Abdeckhaube ausgerüstet, die die Wärme zurückhält und gleichzeitig
Schutz gegen Verunreinigungen bietet.
2 Beschreibung
Die simatherm Anwärmplatten Hot Plate Small und Hot Plate Large bestehen
aus einer Heizplatte, welche in einem Metallgehäuse und einer abnehm-
baren Abdeckhaube eingebunden ist. Die Temperatur wird mit Hilfe eines
Thermostates geregelt.

• Prüfen Sie, ob die auf dem Gerät angegebene Spannung mit der
Spannung Ihrer Stromversorgung übereinstimmt. Ist dies nicht der
Fall, darf das Gerät nicht verwendet werden.
• Das Gerät an das Netz anschliessen. Auf Grund der verschiedenen
Arten von Netzsteckern werden mit den HPS/HPL Geräten keine
Netzstecker mitgeliefert. Die Installation eines geeigneten Netzsteckers
hat durch eine qualifizierte Fachperson (Elektriker) zu erfolgen. Die
korrekte Stromspannung ist in Abschnitt 2.1 aufgeführt.
• Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler (Thermostat) auf die gewünschte
Temperatur ein. Zum Anwärmen von Wälzlagern wird eine Tempera-
tur von 110°C empfohlen.
• Schalten Sie den Hauptschalter auf “ON” (ein). Die Hauptschalter-
Kontrolllampe (grün) leuchtet auf.
• Die zweite Kontrolllampe (rot) neben dem Temperaturregler leuchtet
auf beim Erwärmen der Anwärmplatte und erlischt, wenn die An-
wärmplatte die gewünschte Temperatur erreicht hat. Die Temperatur
des Werkstücks ist ggf. mit einem Thermometer zu überprüfen, da
durch eine zu kurze Anwärmzeit oder durch Abstrahlungsverluste Tem-
peraturunterschiede zwischen Anwärmplatte und Werkstück auftreten
können.
• Die Anwärmplatte hält die eingestellte Temperatur mit einer Genauig-
keit von ca. ± 5°C ein.

Safety recommendations
• The operating instructions should always be followed.
• Make sure the supply voltage is correct.
• Always make sure the Hot Plate is securely connected to earth.
• The Hot Plate should not be used in areas where there is a risk
for explosion.
• Never enter the Hot Plate body via venting slots/holes.
• Do not expose the heater to high humidity.
• Never modify the heater.
• All repair work should be taken care of by an authorised simatherm
partner.

1 Introduction
The simatherm electric hot plates, Hot Plate Small or Hot Plate Large, are
intended for heating bearings and other machinery components prior to
mounting. They are suitable for components with a weight of up to 5 kg (Hot
Plate Small) or 10 kg (Hot Plate Large). The hot plates have a maximum
temperature of 200°C (390°F) and are equipped with a lid for retaining
the heat, at the same time dirt is prevented from entering.
2 Description
The simatherm electric hot plates consist of a heating plate housed in a
metal casing with removable cover. The temperature is controlled by
means of a thermostat.

3 Operating instructions
• Make sure the voltage marked on the hot plate corresponds with the
one available from the main supply.
• Connect the hot plate to the power supply. Due to the many types of
mains plugs, no mains plug is supplied with the HPS/HPL. A quali-
fied electrician must install a suitable mains plug. The correct supply
voltage is shown in section 2.1.
• Set the thermostat to the required temperature. Recommended tempe-
rature for bearings is 110°C (230°F).
• Turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF switch. Main pilot lamp will
light up (green)
• The second pilot lamp (red) is lit while the hot plate is being heated
but switches off as soon as the selected temperature has been rea-
ched.
• The temperature of the hot plate will remain within 10°C (18°F) of the
selected value.

1 Introduction
Les plaques chauffantes simatherm Hot Plate Small et Hot Plate Large sont
conçues pour chauffer des roulements ou d’autres composants de machine
avant de procéder au montage. Elles permettent de chauffer des compo-
sants ayant d’un poids maximum de 5 kg (Hot Plate Small) ou 10 kg (Hot
Plate Large). Les plaques chauffantes peuvent atteindre une température
maximale de 200°C, elles sont équipées d’un couvercle pour retenir la
chaleur et empêcher toute pollution des roulements.
2 Description
Ces appareils sont constitués d’une plaque chauffante, à l’intérieur d’un
boîtier métallique avec un couvercle amovible. La température est
contrôlée au moyen d’un thermostat.

3 Mode d‘emploi
• Vérifier que la tension d’alimentation correspond bien au voltage
figurant sur l’appareil.
• Mettre l’appareil sous tension. Aucune prise secteur n‘est fournie
avec les HPS/HPL en raison de la grande diversité des prises secteur
existantes. Demandez à un électricien qualifié d‘installer une prise
électrique appropriée. La tension d‘alimentation correcte est indiquée
au paragraphe 2.1.
• Régler le thermostat à la température souhaitée. La température re-
commandée pour les roulements est de 110°C maximum.
• Mettre l’interrupteur en position “ON” (marche). La lampe témoin doit
alors s’allumer (vert).
• Le deuxième voyant est allumé pendant que la plaque chauffante
monte en température et s’éteint dès que la température selectionnée
est atteinte.
• La plaque est maintenue à une température constante avec un écart
de régulation inférieur à ± 5°C par rapport à la valeur sélectionnée.
