OWNER’S MANUAL PREFACE
03
First of all, we would like to congratulate with you for your choice of our Sinfoni Prestigio amplifier.
If you are reading this short introduction instead of madly flick across the pages of this handbook looking
for features like the weighted noise or the T.I.M., then maybe we have hit the target to unveil a little bit of
the philosophy of our laboratories. In fact, you will not find these figures among the characteristics of our
products mainly because it is our firm conviction that it is impossible to value such a product only on the
basis of plain numbers. It would be like guessing the taste of a dish reading just the list of its ingredients.
Only after a suitable “tasting” you will realize the striking sound properties of our products, and
you will appreciate their transparency, their musicality, their depth and all other aspects that probably, as a
Sinfoni purchaser, you already know. Try to describe it with cold technical parameters, if you can!
In order to get the utmost from our products, we recommend you to use only high-quality com-
ponents and cables: with a few adjustment every Sinfoni amplifier will give you unexpected emotions and
sensations. We kindly ask you to follow the indications mentioned in this handbook, and we wish you to
enjoy Music at best.

PREFACE

Character and personality, together with the reliability which ever since elevates our products
from the others, make out of this amplifier something special and unique, an esoteric and intriguing mixture.
The appeareantly circuital simplicity of this amplifier in truth wants to be a challenge to the cre-
ativity and to the talent of the listener. A true thoroughbred, its sound will move you at a point you will not
want to stop to listen to music. Ashiver along your back will accompany all your listenings.

PREFACE PREFACE DETAIL + CERTAINTY
05 06
The power supply and amplification stages are buffered with multiple and large capacitors. Only
carefully selected components, a very precise component location combined with large and short signal
tracks are part of the secret of this powerful amplifier. A perfect heat dissipation is guaranted through a
very well shaped heatsink, which binds together elegance and technique, manufactured from an aluminium
extrusion, like the front and the rear chassis, which is brushed and then anodised. Two massive caps
complete, in a very refined way, the chassis and offer at the same time, through provided brackets, a
valid and solid anchor support.
Before the amplifier is released for sale it must undergo a last test to show if it will be able to work
well in almost every condition. Every single amplifier is driven to the maximum power, for not less then 15
minutes, connected to a resistance load of 4 ohms for each channel, sendingas input a sinusoidal signal
from 20Hz to 20kHz. Together with a valid quality control process, this test gives us the certainty to offer
ourcustomer a product which has a superior quality and is extremely reliable.

OWNER’S MANUAL INSTALLATION
07
The Sinfoni car amplifiers are designed to work with a 12 volts DC power supply, however the
voltage can range between 11V and 14.4V.
Power Supply cables must be of a suitable gauge, keeping in mind that the negative one must
be connected to the ground in the nearest point of the car chassiS, while the positive one must come
directly from the battery. If the distance from the battery to the device is quite long, then it will be necessary
to use thicker cables, in order to avoid any performance loss: we suggest your installer to use at least
6mm² good quality OFC cables.
The REM input (remote) must be connected to the remote output of the source, which must
provide at least a 60 mA current for every installed Sinfoni unit.

INSTALLATION ADVICE
09
In the following pages you can find several configuration examples to show possible installations
using this amplifier.
Only the creativity and the ability of the installer can tell what system is the best solution for your
needs, a lot depends on the musical result you want to achieve and on the acoustic characteristics of your
specific vehicle. Therefore we suggest to always cooperate with professional and trusted installers.
Because of the particular nature of this amplifier it is important to remember the costant power
absorption, between 7A and 8A; we advice the use of well suited batteries that can guarantee prolonged
listenings with the engine switched off.

INSTALLATION INPUTS
The input load is 48 Kohms, and its sensitivity is adjustable from 400 mV to 10 V; therefore
it perfectly matches any source, including those that provide a 10 V pre out. The regulation is achieved
rotating the input R & L potentiometers with a common screwdriver.

INSTALLATION MONO
The most common reason to use a monophonic input is to use the amplifier in a bridged configu-
ration. Some examples are shown inside this handbook. To configure the amplifier for mono two jumpers,
located inside the amplifier, must be set, therefore the right cap, near to the R input, must be unscrewed.
On the picture on the right the two possible combination are shown. When in mono modus the negative
poles of the speaker connectors (- R and - L) must be connected together, use at least a 6 mm wire. For
what the signal input is concerned a Y cable must be used.

INSTALLATION FUSE
15
Internally, just behind the Sinfoni brass plate, you can find a fuse (40A) that can be easily re-
ached removing the plate. In any case, its break is to be considered as an unlikely event, due only to a
serious failure, possibly caused by an improper use of the amplifer, or a power surge during connection
to the power source.

INSTALLATION LIGHTS AND PROTECTIONS
15 16
The green LED light, located on the front left side of the amplifier, close to the L input, indicates
Remote signal is present. The red LED light indicates that one of the internal protection has been activated,
which means the presence of a technical problem.
This amplifier comes with three protection system to protect at best the amplifier and the connec-
ted devices like the speakers. The Thermal protection prevents the amplifier from exceeding 85°C, in case
of over-heating normal operations may continue only after a temperature decrease of 10°C. The Speaker
protection is enabled when a mosfet fails and the Overload protection prevents from a wrong impedance
load connected on the output.
