SM-990 / J8402N Magnifying Lamp with Stand
Function:
A magnifying lamp is one of the most important tools used by the esthetician. It
provides magnification and a glare free light to aid the esthetician in detecting tiny
imperfections in the skin for analysis and treatment. It is a useful aid for extracting
blackheads, whiteheads, and cleaning out pimples. With a five times magnification, it
is also a useful aid for inserting the electrolysis needle into the hair follicle for hair
removal. As a lamp alone it can be used simply to add light while performing a
treatment.
When doing manual extractions, the clients eyes should be protected with eye pads.

Operating Instruction:
1. Plug in power.
2. Turn Power switch on.
3. Adjust desired position.

Assembly:
1. Unpack the legs and center post.
2.
Assembly Instructions:
Separate the parts for the stand Insert legs into round plastic base as shown above.

It is easier to assemble on the floor. After all 5 legs are in place, place large flat retainer over the bottom.
Align holes in retainer plate with the bolt holes on the legs. Start the threading the bolts only partially. You may need to pick up
slightly on the legs or the retainer plate to get all the bolts started. Please see picture above.
Next remove the long bolt from the
center post of the stand.
Using a 14mm wrench or socket,
firmly tighten all 5 bolts as shown
here.
Carefully lift the 5 leg base and place
over the bottom of the center post.
Press the five leg base firmly on the
post from the center.

3. Carefully, turn the stand over holding the legs so that they do not drop. Insert the bolt into the
hole in the center of the legs and tighten it firmly with the correct size wrench. See above
picture to the right.
4. Once the bolt is tight and the assembly of your stand is complete.
5. Remove lamp from packing and insert post at the bottom of the lamp into the hole at the top of
the stand. See below. (Shown with 4 leg stand below)
Place the long bolt through
the center hole and thread
by hand, then tighten it
firmly using a 14mm
wrench or socket.
Assembled, your stand
should look like this.

Safe operation and cautions:
1. The spring adjuster is designed intended for the spring flexibility. When lifting the arm up, the action of
the spring may pop from the upper position to the lower position.(See picture 1 below)
2. Do not extend the arm straight and leave it at this position for an extended period of time. This may
cause the spring to lose it flexibility. When not in use, adjust it back to a standard position.
