IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
CAUTION: Read and carefully follow the safety instructions
and precautions in this user manual.
– For additional protection, we recommend the use of
a power outlet with a rated current of 10A. To avoid
circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage
appliance on the same circuit.
– Do not fill kettle when positioned on the base. Dry
the water on the bottom of the body before placing it
onto the power base.
– Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
– Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is
being used near children or infirm persons.
– Electric kettle must be operated on a flat surface.
Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas
or electric burner or on the top of other electric
appliances.
– Do not touch hot surfaces; please use the handle. Be
aware of steam emitted from spout or lid, especially
during refilling. Do not remove the lid during the
boiling cycle.
– Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than
water. Do not fill above the “max” indication. Do not
operate kettle if the water is below the minimum mark.
– Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the
table or touch hot surfaces. Always store any excess
portion of the power cord in the compartment of the
base unit.
– Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or
other liquid.
– Do not use your appliance with an extension cord
unless this cord has been checked and tested by a
qualified technician or service person. Always use your
appliance from a power outlet of the voltage (A.C.
only) marked on the appliance.
– If the power cord is damaged, it must be changed by
the manufacturer or authorised persons.
–NOTE: If the kettle is overfilled, hot boiling water may
be ejected.
–NOTE: The kettle is only to be used with the stand
provided at purchase.
–WARNING: Do not switch the appliance on if there is a
possibility that the water in the kettle is frozen.
– Always unplug from the power plug socket when in
following conditions:
• When there is no water in the kettle,
• When filling water,
• When the kettle is not in use,
• Before cleaning or moving the kettle.
– Call our customer care number for more information
or return the appliance at the store of purchase for
examination and repair. Never repair the appliance
by yourself.
–WARNING: Electric Shock Hazard
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not
remove the bottom cover of the body or the power
base by yourself.
– Do not use a base unit other than the one supplied.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended
by the manufacturer may result in fire, electrical shock
or personal injury!
– Do not insert any object into slots or holes of the kettle.
– This appliance is for household use only.
Do not use outdoors.
– This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above if they have clear supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
manner and if they understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children aged less than 8 years.
– This appliance is intended to be used in household
and similar applications as: Staff kitchen areas in
shops, offices and other working environments;
Farmhouses; By clients in hotels, motels and other
residential types of environments; Breakfast type
environments.
–WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water
is boiling
–CAUTION: Position the lid so that steam is directed
away from the handle.
–CAUTION: Ensure that the appliance is switched off
before removing it from its stand.
–CAUTION: Be careful and avoid water spillage on
the connector.
– Careful attention must be taken as incorrect use of the
appliance may cause serious burns.
– Do not try to access into kettle’s container, heating
element surface as it may be subjected to residual
heat after use.
– The appliance can be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have supervision
or has been given careful instruction concerning the
use of the appliance in a safe way and that they
understand the hazards involved.
– Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

Operation and Care
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: For first time use and also if the kettle has not been
used for an extended period of time, it is recommended
that you fill to the maximum water level mark with fresh
tap water and proceed to boil and empty the kettle at
least two times to clear kettle of any particles. Do not drink
such water.
1. Pull the one-press lid lock to open the lid.
2. Remove the kettle from the power base and fill
the kettle with your desired amount (between the
minimum and maximum water level marks). Close the
lid and place the kettle back on the base unit.
3. Connect the plug into a power outlet (220-240V, AC),
switch the kettle on by pressing the power switch. The
light will illuminate to indicate the kettle is heating.
4. The kettle will automatically switch off once the water
has boiled, and the light will turn off.
5. Lift the kettle from the base, and you can then pour
out the water where required.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
– To prolong the kettle’s life, please clean the mineral
deposits in the kettle regularly.
– Always unplug from the plug socket and allow to cool
down before cleaning.
– Do not use chemical, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners
to clean the exterior of the kettle as these will scratch
the surface and fade the colour.
1. Fill the kettle with 0.5L white vinegar and the
remainder with water and allow to stand for over
one hour.
2. Empty the solution from the kettle. Wipe off the
deposits remained with a damp cloth.
3. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil and then
discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will be ready
to use.
4. If necessary, repeat the operations above several
times for a more thorough clean.
5. Do not immerse the appliance and base into water.
The surface of the kettle may be wiped over with a
damp cloth and polished with a soft dry cloth.
6. To remove the scale filter, grasp the top of the filter
and pull upwards to remove from the kettle.
Wash with clean water and dry thoroughly before
placing it back.

information on the type, the amount and the CO2equivalent in tonnes of the fluorinated
greenhouse gas(on some models), please refer to the relevant label on the unit itself.

technician.

Product uninstallation and recycling must be performed by a certified technician.
Sociable Remark
DISPOSAL: Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste
separately for special treatment is necessary.
It is prohibited to dispose of this appliance in domestic household waste.
For disposal, there are several possibilities:
When using this dehumidifier in the European countries, the following information
must be followed:
· The municipality has established collection systems, where electronic waste can be disposed
of at least free of charge to the user.
· When buying a new product, the retailer will take back the old product at least free of charge.
· The manufacture will take back the old appliance for disposal at least free of charge to the user.
· As old products contain valuable resources, they can be sold to scrap metal dealers. Wild
disposal of waste in forests and landscapes endangers your health when hazardous
substances leak into the ground-water and find their way into the food chain.

Warranty Information
WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
SMALL DOMESTIC APPLIANCES
This document sets out the terms and conditions of the
product warranties for Residentia Group Appliances. It is
an important document. Please keep it with your proof of
purchase documents in a safe place for future reference
should you require service for your Appliance.
1. IN THIS WARRANTY
(a) ‘acceptable quality’ as referred to in clause 10 of this
warranty has the same meaning referred to in the ACL;
(b) ‘ACL’ means Trade Practices Amendment (Australian
Consumer Law) Act (No.2) 2010;
(c) ‘Appliance’ means any Residentia Group product
purchased by you accompanied by this document;
(d) ‘ASR’ means Residentia Group authorised service
representative;
(e) ‘Residentia Group’ means Residentia Group Pty Ltd
of 165 Barkly Ave, Burnley VIC 3121, ACN 600 546 656
in respect of Appliances purchased in Australia;
(f ) ‘major failure’ as referred to in clause 10 of this
warranty has the same meaning referred to in the ACL
and includes a situation when an Appliance cannot be
repaired or it is uneconomic for Residentia Group, at
its discretion, to repair an Appliance during the
Warranty Period;
(g) ‘Warranty Period’ means:
(i) where the Appliance is used for personal,
domestic or household use (i.e. normal single
family use) as set out in the instruction manual,
the Appliance is warranted against manufacturing
defects for 24 months, following the date of
original purchase of the Appliance;
(h) ‘you’ means the purchaser of the Appliance not having
purchased the Appliance for re-sale, and ‘your’ has a
corresponding meaning.
2. This warranty only applies to Appliances purchased
and used in Australia and is in addition to (and does
not exclude, restrict, or modify in any way) any
non-excludable statutory warranties in Australia.
3. During the Warranty Period Residentia Group or its
ASR will, at no extra charge if your Appliance is readily
accessible for service, without special equipment
and subject to these terms and conditions, repair or
replace any parts which it considers to be defective.
Residentia Group or its ASR may use remanufactured
parts to repair your Appliance. You agree that any
replaced Appliances or parts become the property of
Residentia Group. This warranty does not apply to light
globes, baeries, filters or similar perishable parts.
4. Parts and Appliances not supplied by Residentia Group
are not covered by this warranty.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also
entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The Australian Consumer Law requires the
inclusion of the following statement with
this warranty:
5. You will bear the cost of transportation, travel and
delivery of the Appliance to and from Residentia
Group or its ASR. If you reside outside of the service
area, you will bear the cost of:
(a) travel of an authorised representative;
(b) transportation and delivery of the Appliance to and
from Residentia Group or its ASR, in all instances,
unless the Appliance is transported by Residentia
Group or its ASR, the Appliance is transported at
the owner’s cost and risk while in transit to and from
Residentia Group or its ASR.
6. Proof of purchase is required before you can make a
claim under this warranty.
7. You may not make a claim under this warranty unless
the defect claimed is due to faulty or defective parts
or workmanship. Residentia Group is not liable in the
following situations (which are not exhaustive):
(a) the Appliance is damaged by:
(i) accident
(ii) misuse or abuse, including failure to properly
maintain or service
(iii) normal wear and tear
(iv) power surges, electrical storm damage or
incorrect power supply
(v) incomplete or improper installation
(vi) incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation
(vii) insect or vermin infestation
(viii) failure to comply with any additional instructions
supplied with the Appliance;
(b) the Appliance is modified without authority from
Residentia Group in writing;
(c) the Appliance’s serial number or warranty seal has
been removed or defaced;
(d) the Appliance was serviced or repaired by anyone
other than Residentia Group, an authorised repairer
or ASR.
8. This warranty, the contract to which it relates and the
relationship between you and Residentia Group are
governed by the law applicable where the Appliance
was purchased.
9. To the extent permied by law, Residentia Group
excludes all warranties and liabilities (other than as
contained in this document) including liability for any
loss or damage whether direct or indirect arising from
your purchase, use or non use of the Appliance.
10. For Appliances and services provided by Residentia
Group in Australia, the Appliances come with a
guarantee by Residentia Group that cannot be
excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You
are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major
failure and for compensation for any other reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled
to have the Appliance repaired or replaced if the
Appliance fails to be of acceptable quality and the
failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits
to you given by this warranty are in addition to your
other rights and remedies under a law in relation to the
Appliances or services to which the warranty relates.
11. At all times during the Warranty Period, Residentia
Group shall, at its discretion, determine whether repair,
replacement or refund will apply if an Appliance has a
valid warranty claim applicable to it.
12. Missing parts are not covered by warranty. Residentia
Group reserves the right to assess each request for
missing parts in a case by case basis. Any parts that are
not reported missing in the first week aer purchase
will not provide free of charge.
13. To enquire about claiming under this warranty, please
follow these steps:
(a) carefully check the operating instructions, user manual
and the terms of this warranty;
(b) have the model and serial number of the Appliance
available;
(c) have the proof of purchase (e.g. an invoice) available;
(d) telephone the numbers shown below.
14. You accept that if you make a warranty claim,
Residentia Group and its ASR may exchange
information in relation to you to enable Residentia
Group to meet its obligations under this warranty.
IMPORTANT
Before calling for service, please ensure that the steps in
point 13 have been followed.
