Front panel controls and indicators:
The Bronte digital has many internal protection features:
Short circuit protection – If speaker wires are accidentally short circuited.
Overload protection – If the input level is too high for safe operation.
DC offset protection – speaker protection against DC voltage.
In case of any of the above occur during operation, the amplifier will automatically disconnect
its output from your speakers (and the Stand-By LED will glow at half brightness).
If this happens please disconnect from mains, turn your volume control down, check your
connections and reconnect the amplifier.
Note: By switching the amplifier to Stand-By will not reset the protection circuitry, please
disconnect from mains and reconnect after checking all connections. If the symptom presists,
consult your dealer.
Rear Panel connections:
AC IN: Connect to mains outlet.
(Do this after all conenctions to the amplifier have been made and checked)
Right Output: Connect this out to your Right Speaker (Red = Positive).
Left Output: Connect this out to your Left Speaker (Red = Positive).
12V DC: This is used to simultaneously switch on the optional Bronte power amplifier.
Pre Out: Variable output for use with the optional Bornte power amplifier.
Ln Out: Line level output for use with tape decks etc.
CD - L5: Available source inputs.
(top row = Right channel, bottom row = Left Channel)
Earth Tag: If you are experiencing static build-up interference in your system, connect
the optional Earth Cable Supplied here to your CD player.
