Adjustable Lancing Device with Ejector
OneTouch® UltraSoft® 2 lancing device has 9 penetration
depths. Turn depth dial to desired lancing depth.
Lancing depth guide: number 1 for soft/ thin skin; number 3
for average skin; number 5 for thick/ calloused skin.
Finer adjustments can be made by setting the arrow
between numbers.
Cleaning and disinfecting the lancing device and end cap
Clean the surface of the lancing device with a wet cloth. To
avoid damage, do not immerse the body of the lancing
device into any liquid. The surface of the lancing device
can be wiped and disinfected with 75% ethanol. If there is
a blood stain inside the cap of the lancing device, turn the
depth dial to the arrow ” “ position and pull out the depth
dial to wipe and clean the blood stain with 75% ethanol (as
shown in the gure). After disinfection, align the arrow mark
on the depth dial with the depth indicator arrow and install
the depth dial back to the end cap.
Note: Always use a new lancet. Re-use of lancets might cause infection
and skin damage and can dull or bend the needle tip and may cause
greater pain. For single patient use. Do not share with another person.

1. Wash hands with soap and clean
water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
Use steps of the lancing device
2. Twist o the end cap of
the lancing device.
3. Push lancet rmly into
holder.
4. Remove lancet protective
cover.
Note: save the protective cover
for safe disposal of used lancet.
5. Gently pull priming
barrel until a click is heard.
6. Place the end cap rmly
against nger. Press trigger
button.
7. Remove end cap and use
the saved lancet protective
cover to recap lancet.
8. Push forward the ejector
to dispose of lancet in
appropriate container.
