INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
Cuando los altavoces sean instalados en paredes,
asegúrese que la estructura de la pared sea confiable y
que el altavoz quede firmemente asegurado.
Instale el altavoz en una ubicación que pueda soportar
su peso. De otra manera podría provocar que la unidad
cayera causando lesiones personales.
Vibraciones prolongadas pueden provocar su caída.
No toque o presione el woofer o el tweeter. Si estos
resultaran dañados, el sonido se emitirá distorsionado.
No reproduzca a altos niveles cuando esté cambiando la

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When the speakers are installed on the walls, ensure the
wall structure is reliable and that the speakers are firmly
attached.
Install the speaker in a location that can structurally
support the weight of the speaker and its mounting
hardware. Otherwise it may result in the unit falling down
and causing injury.
Long-term use and vibrations may cause it to fall easily.
Do not touch or bump the woofer and tweeter. If these
are damaged, the sound will be distorted.
Do not listen to sound at a very high level when you are
changing the input source (for example, to tune FM/CD).
Installation or removal of cables should make sure that
the power amp/amplifier device radio is turned off.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DE DISEÑO
El gabinete STS Nano3 ha sido diseñado específicamente
para solucionar situaciones, en el campo de las
instalaciones, que eran difíciles de resolver . . . hasta ahora.
Prácticamente todos los gabinetes dedicados, que cuentan
con transformador de línea en su entrada, incorporan una
llave selectora que permite conmutar las distintas potencias
admisibles en líneas de 70V o 100V, así como también la
posibilidad de ingresar directamente al altavoz cuya
impedancia habitual es de 8 ohms.
De acuerdo a estas características casi universales que
ofrece el mercado, los amplificadores necesarios para
alimentarlos son aquellos que cuentan con salidas con
transformador incorporado de 70V o 100V, aquellos de gran
potencia que, sin contar con transformador de salida, son
capaces de generar esas tensiones de línea, o bien
empleando el gabinete en baja impedancia lo que, para
instalaciones numerosas, obliga a efectuar complejos
cableados serie-paralelo para mantener dentro de valores
aceptables la carga total que la línea presenta al
amplificador.
El gabinete Nano3 cuenta con entradas de 32, 64, 128 y
256 ohms nominales que permite emplearlos con
amplificadores convencionales, todos paralelados en una
única línea que, de acuerdo a los taps seleccionados, no
presente una impedancia total de carga menor a 4 ohms.
En la tabla que sigue a continuación se puede preciar que
estos amplificadores, que no requieren incorporar
transformador de salida, pueden ser de muy baja potencia y
de cualquier formato convencional incluyendo
semi-profesionales, profesionales o de uso doméstico con o
sin receptor de FM.
De acuerdo a esta tabla vemos que los valores de
impedancia de las distintas entradas del Nano3 aportan una
increíble flexibilidad permitiendo configurar líneas de hasta
64 unidades en paralelo de manera segura.
Como característica adicional podemos remarcar que los
taps 3, 4 y 5 son también compatibles con líneas estándar
de voltaje constante de 25v proporcionando alternativas de
potencia de 10W, 5W y 2,5W.
DESIGN CHARACTERISTICS
The STS Nano3 cabinet has been specifically designed to
solve issues in the installation field that were difficult to
approach . . . until now.
Virtually all dedicated cabinets, incorporating input line
transformers, have a selector switch that allows selecting
the different power taps in 70V or 100V lines, as well as the
possibility of skipping the transformer to directly power the
speaker whose usual impedance is 8 ohm.
According to these almost universal characteristics offered
by the market, the necessary amplifiers to power them are
those that have built-in 70V or 100V transformer at their
output, those of great power that, without incorporating an
output transformer, are capable of generating those high
output voltages, or employing the cabinet in low impedance
mode which, for installations of several cabinets, require
complex series-parallel wiring to keep within acceptable
values the total impedance value presented to the amplifier.
The Nano3 cabinet has 32, 64, 128 and 256 ohm nominal
inputs that allow to be used, all wired in parallel in a single
line, with conventional amplifiers where, according to the
selected taps, the impedance value can not be less than 4
ohm.
In the table that follows, it can be seen that these amplifiers,
which do not require the incorporation of output transformer,
can be those of very low power and of any conventional
style including semi-professionals, professionals or for
domestic use, with or without FM receiver.
According to this table, we can see that impedance values
of the different inputs of the Nano3 provide incredible
flexibility allowing lines of up to 64 units to be safely
configured in parallel.
As an additional feature we can note that taps 3, 4 and 5 are
also compatible with standard 25v constant voltage lines
providing power alternatives of 10W, 5W and 2.5W.

Para definir la potencia necesaria empleando amplificadores
de salida de voltaje constante de 25v se deberán sumar las
potencias individuales de acuerdo a los distintos taps
empleados.
Ejemplo:
Se emplearían: 4 Nano3 en Tap de 10W, 5 Nano3 en Tap
de 5W y 8 Nano3 en Tap de 2,5W
4x10W: 40W + 5x5W: 25W + 8x2,5W: 20W
40W + 25W + 20W = 85W
Un amplificador de 80W a 100W con salida de 25v será
adecuado para esta instalación.
IMPORTANTE: No se deberá usar el Tap 2 en líneas de 25v
pues la potencia entregada al parlante superará lo admisible
por el mismo con la posibilidad de dañarlo por exceso
de potencia.
No se deberá usar este gabinete en líneas de 70V o de 100V
pues se excederá la potencia máxima admitida en cualquiera
de sus taps.

In order to calculate the required power employing 25v
constant voltage amplifiers, all individual power taps must be
added in accordance to the different taps selected.
Example:
Employing: 4 Nano3 on 10W Tap, 5 Nano3 on 5W Tap and 8
Nano3 on 2,5W Tap.
4x10W: 40W + 5x5W: 25W + 8x2,5W: 20W
40W + 25W + 20W = 85W
A 25v line amplifier of 80W to 100W of output power will be
suitable for this installation.
CAUTION: Tap 2 must never be employed on 25v lines
because the power delivered to the loudspeaker will be higher
to the admissible one, and damage will occur.
This loudspeaker must never be employed on 70V or 100V
lines as excesive power delivered to the speaker will damage
it on any tap.
