INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
ASSEMBLING AND PREPARING
1. Open the package and make sure all the accessories are included.
2. Attach the stand to the TV set.
3. Connect an external device to the TV set.
Unpacking
Check your product box for the following items. If there are any missing accessories, contact the local dealer where you
purchased your product. The illustrations in this manual may differ from the actual product and item.
• Do not use any unapproved items to ensure the safety and product life span.
• Any damages or injuries caused by using unapproved items are not covered by the warranty.

• Use an extension cable that supports USB 2.0 if the USB cable or USB memory stick does not fit into
your TV’s USB port.

SUN KING™ HOME SYSTEM KEYPAD
SUN KING™ HOME SYSTEM GSM
Sun King™ Home System keypad works as our normal lamps, tokens / keycodes need to be manually entered for it to work.
Clients need to pay via mobile money, receive keycodes, input the keycode into the system, turn it ON, then operate.
Sun King™ Home System GSM is GSM enabled. Meaning it can communicate with the controlling platform, (i.e. Angaza) by
pressing the sync button (which is only visible in the GSM unit). It can be traced or located using satellite signals the same
way as mobile phones. It can also be operated remotely, turning on / off without interacting with the unit physically. When
clients pay Angaza automatically communicates with the units.

1. TV POWER CABLE CONNECTION PORT Connects your TV to the battery control unit
2. FLASH DISK CONNECTION PORT Connects your TV to external USB devices
3. EARPHONES CONNECTION PORT Connects your TV to an external sound output such as earphones

1. Connect your TV to the battery control unit using the TV cable.
2. Connect your TV to the aerial or satellite dish.
3. Power on the battery control unit.
4. When the TV cable is connected properly to the TV, and the TV is powered by the remote controller or by the power
button on the TV, the power indicator light on the bottom of the TV will glow GREEN.
5. If you subscribe to the pay TV service, you will get one CI module (a big card), along with a smart card (small card). Insert
this CI module to CI slot to watch the related pay channels.

SWITCH ON THE TV
SELECT INPUT SOURCE
Point the remote to the TV and click on the POWER button on the remote.
Press SOURCE on the remote control. From the Input source displayed user can choose the source from DVB-T,
ATV (analogue TV), and Satellite TV. You can use the up or down to to move to Satellite. Then
press ENTER on the remote to select. Lastly press EXIT button when you are done.
When the user selects the satellite source, they should make sure the dish is set up well. The dish vendor should
help the user set it up (point to the right satellite). To verify it, the user should check the signal strength/quality.

Press MENU on the remote control. Use or buttons to move to select tuning type.
If it is a satellite source, select BLIND SCAN from the tuning type list; if it is another source, select AUTO TUNE.

Press ENTER on the remote control. You will see the displayed channel list.
The default setting will be of the TV displaying the free to air channels.
You may use the up down keys up or to move to see more options press ENTER to select.
Press the left/right key to change the group: free-to-air, scrambled, satellite etc.

PLAYING CONTENT USING USB
Insert USB/dongle in the USB port
Press SOURCE on the remote control.
From the input source displayed select Media Player.
You can use the up or down to move to Media Player.
Press ENTER on the remote to select. TV will display contents on the USB FLASH DISK, select item you want to play by
pressing ENTER.
Lastly press EXIT button when you are done.

CHECKING SIGNAL INFORMATION
CHECKING SIGNAL INFORMATION
To check the channel’s signal information: Press MENU, scroll down to the signal information (highlighted in blue) then press
ENTER to select. The displayed window will show information of the channel. Ensure your quality is above 30. Incase you do
not have the best quality adjust the positioning of the aerial.

PICTURE MODE
SOUND MODE
Press PIC to switch to picture mode or you can change it on the main MENU.
There are four picture modes to choose from:
• Lowlight (long runtime): Only for longer runtime purpose.
• Standard (standard runtime): Suitable for watching the TV in the evening.
• Daylight (short runtime): Suitable for watching the TV during daytime.
• Superlight (very short runtime): Suitable for watching the TV in the sunlight.
Press SOUND to switch to SOUND mode.
There are three sound modes to choose from:
• Standard: Suitable for watching movies, news, drama and so on.
• Music: Suitable for watching music programs.
• Sports: Suitable for watching sports games.

TROUBLESHOOTING
• Check the signal strength in “Signal Information” menu item (refer to page 16), if this menu item is grey, it means
no signal was detected.
• Try to change the aerial/dish position/height, until you get the signal strength information in the above step and
until it shows a good signal level.
• Try to check the aerial/dish cable connection on both sides.
• If that does not work, report to Customer Care.
If screen shows “NO SIGNAL”
If screen shows “DISABLED”
• Check the connection between TV and the battery control unit (most of the time, it is caused by a loose connection).
• If that does not work, report to Customer Care.
