Introduction
Simulating natural daylight, this daylight lamp provides the ideal illumination for working at a desk,
handicrafts or reading.
Before using this device for the first time, read these instructions carefully and keep in a safe place for
future reference. If you lend this appliance to anyone, also pass on the instructions. The warranty will
become void if the instructions have not been observed.
Meaning of the symbols in these operating instructions
All safety notices are marked with this symbol. Please carefully read through and follow the
safety notices in order to avoid injury to persons and property.
Tips and recommendations are marked with this symbol.
Safety Instructions
Proper Use
•This lamp is designed for illumination in dry indoor rooms. It is not suitable for use in
damp rooms, e.g. bathrooms. The lamp must never be used for direct irradiation of
persons, animals or plants.
•This product is designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use this product as described in these instructions.
Risk of injury for children, persons and animals!
•Keep children away from packaging -risk of suffocation!
•Keep children away from the lamp, and do not leave them unsupervised with the
lamp.
•Do not touch the lampshade during operation, as it becomes very hot.
•Do not look directly into the light source! Your eyes could be damaged.
•The lamp is not suitable for irradiation of persons.
•Let the lamp cool down completely before changing the bulb or putting it away. Risk
of burning.

•Be careful when inserting and changing the bulb. Risk of breakage and therefore risk of injury!
•Keep animals away from the lamp! The lamp is not to be used for irradiation of animals, such as
poultry, lambs etc. Risk of burning.
Electricity – Risk of electric shock!
•Keep the lamp away from humidity.
•Connect the lamp only to outlets corresponding with the technical data of the lamp.
•Check the lamp before each use for damage. The lamp is not to be used when it shows visible
damage.
•Do not take the lamp apart and only have it repaired at your local electrical store.
•Before cleaning or if the lamp is not to be used for a long period, unplug the lamp from the mains
power supply.
•During storms and before you change the bulb; unplug the lamp from the mains power supply.
When removing the plug from the socket, always pull on the plug and not the cable.
•A damaged cable must only be repaired at your local electrical store.
•Do not use the lamp if it is damaged or if the connecting cable shows any kind of visible
damage.
Location
•Place the lamp at least 20 cm from flammable materials.
•Always place the lamp on an even and stable surface to prevent it tipping over.
•Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperatures, direct
sunlight or moisture.
•Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong impacts.
•Keep the lamp well away from heat sources such as stovetops or ovens.
•Ensure that the device is not able to fall in water and cannot get wet.
Damages on device and materials
•Do not cover the lamp, for example with drapes or anything else. This could lead to fire.
•Only use bulbs, which correspond to the technical data. Replacement bulbs are available to
purchase by calling the customer services number at the back of these instructions.

Warranty provisions
Any defects caused by improper use, damage, or attempts at repair by third parties are excluded from
the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear of the individual components.

Starting
•Danger of suffocation by the wrapper and bags. Keep children away from the packaging.
•Connectthelamponlytoawallsocket,whichcorrespondstothetechnicaldataofthelamp.
•Keep the lamp at least 20 cm away from flammable material.
1. Unpack all product contents. Ensure that all product contents are
present (see section “Product Contents”) and check for any
damages from transport. Should you identify any transport
damages, please promptly consult customer services (see section
“Customer service”).
2. Remove any packaging material from the light element.
3. Run the power cord of the light neck through the bottom rod. The
threading on the bottom rod will point towards the light neck.
4. Screw the bottom rod into the light neck.
5. Connect the cord connector with the two connectors on the base.
Ensure that same colour cords are connected with one another.
The connectors must snap into place.
6. Carefully stow the excess cords in the bottom rod.
7. Mount the light on the base and arrange it so that the holes on the
bottom rod and base are on top of one another. Ensure that no
cords are caught.
8. Insert the enclosed screw in the holes and tighten it using a Philips
screwdriver.
9. Place the lamp on an even and stable surface so it can’t tip over.
10. Turn the head of lamp into the desired position. The flexible light
neck allows you to adjust it continuously.
11. Put the power plug into an easy to reach wall socket.
Turn the lamp on/ off
1. Press the on/ off switch into position I, to turn the light on.
2. Press the on/ off switch into position O, to turn the light off.

Changing bulb
Always grasp the base of the bulb
When replacing the bulb, always handle the new bulb with a handkerchief or
gloves to prevent damage to the bulb and a reduction in lifespan.
Let the bulb cool down completely before changing it.
Only use bulbs specified in the “Technical Data”. You can order new bulbs
by calling the customer services number at the back of these instructions.
1. Remove the plug from the mains power supply.
2. Turn the head of lamp so you can insert the bulb easily
3. Pull the old bulb carefully out of the lamp holder and take it off the mounting.
4. Press the new bulb carefully, as illustrated, into the mounting and holder until it snaps into place (see
pictures below).
Care / Maintenance
Keep the lamp away from humidity.
1. Unplug the lamp from the mains power supply
2. Dust off the lamp if necessary with a dry cloth.
