USE
Thank you for purchasing this Window Air Conditioner. This unit is designed to improve indoor
living and working comfort by providing cooling and ventilation with minimal installation. Please
refer to the Room Cooling Chart at the end of this manual for the room size to cool vs the capacity
of your new air conditioner.
SAFETY NOTES
When using this window air conditioner, or any other electric appliance, always follow these basic
safety precautions. Not doing so could result in injuries, electrical shocks or fire.
1. The unit must be connected to a grounded (three prongs) power supply properly rated. For
your safety, this unit is grounded through the power cord plug when connected to a grounded
wall outlet.
2. Do not alter the power cord nor the plug end by removing the ground prong.
3. It is recommended not to use an adapter plug or extension cord.
4. Do not plug the unit in a damaged electrical receptacle.
5. Do not connect the unit to an outlet that is being used for other electrical appliances.
6. Before unplugging the unit, always turn it off. Always unplug the unit before cleaning or
servicing. When unplugging the unit, never pull on the power cord - always grip the plug.
7. Do not start or stop the unit by plugging in or pulling out the power cord.
8. Always check the power cord for signs of damage before use. If the power cord is damaged,
contact SUNRISE TRADEX Customer Service (see end of this manual).
9. Do not install or use the unit in the following places:
• near a heat source;
• an area with possible gas leakage or in an explosive atmosphere ;
• near a bath, shower enclosure, swimming pool, or any other steamy and wet areas ;
• in a greenhouse.
10. Do not apply insecticides or any other flammable products on the unit.
11. Do not operate with wet hands or spray water or other liquid on the unit, nor immerse the
appliance.
12. This unit is not intended for the use of children and close supervision is necessary when it is
operating near children.
13. Never insert fingers, foreign objects, or anything to obstruct the air inlet and outlet grills.
Warn children.
14. Never operate with an outside protective cover in place or other objects blocking the outside
airflow.
15. For a maximum efficiency, do not block inside airflow with curtains, blinds, furniture or else.
16. Do not expose skin or eyes directly to cool air over a long period of time.
17. Ensure that all parts and accessories are correctly fitted before turning on the unit.
18. If an abnormal odour or smoke comes out of the unit, immediately unplug the unit and contact
SUNRISE TRADEX Customer Service (see end of this manual).
19. Do not place a plant or allow a pet to be exposed directly to the unit cool airflow.
20. Do not put any combustion appliance in the direct path of the unit airflow ; it could affect the
combustion efficiency.

USAGE
Merci d’avoir acheté ce climatiseur de fenêtre. Ce climatiseur a été conçu pour améliorer votre confort, que ce
soit à la maison ou au bureau, car il vous offre la possibilité de climatiser et ventiler l’endroit choisi et ce, sans
installation complexe. Veuillez vous référer à notre guide de sélection à la fin de ce manuel pour
vérifier si la capacité de votre climatiseur est adéquate pour la grandeur de pièce à climatiser.
CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
Il est important de prendre les précautions nécessaires suivantes lorsque vous utilisez ce climatiseur de fenêtre,
ou tout autre appareil électrique.
1. L’unité doit être branchée dans une prise de courant de calibre approprié avec mise à la terre. Pour votre
protection, ce climatiseur est mis à la terre seulement si le cordon d’alimentation est branché dans une prise
avec mise à la terrre.
2. Ne pas modifier le cordon d’alimentation et ne pas couper ou dévier le contact de mise à la terre.
3. Ne jamais utiliser d’adaptateur ou de cordon de rallonge.
4. Ne pas brancher l’appareil dans une prise électrique endommagée.
5. Ne pas brancher le climatiseur sur un circuit utilisé par d’autres appareils électriques.
6. Avant de débrancher l’unité, toujours la mettre hors circuit. Lors du nettoyage, toujours débrancher l’appareil.
Lorsque vous débranchez l’appareil, toujours tirer sur la fiche d’alimentation et jamais sur le cordon.
7. Ne pas mettre en marche ou arrêter l’appareil en branchant ou débranchant le cordon d’alimentation.
8. Avant d’utiliser l’appareil, toujours vous assurer que le cordon d’alimentation n’est pas endommagé. S’il est
endommagé, communiquez avec le service à la clientèle de SUNRISE TRADEX (voir à la fin de ce guide).
9. Ne pas utiliser l’appareil dans les endroits suivants :
• près d’une source de chaleur ;
• près d’une source de gaz, de feu ou de matières explosives ;
• près d’un bain, d’une douche, d’une piscine ou autre endroit humide ;
• dans une serre.
10. Ne pas asperger ou vaporiser d’insecticide ou tout autre liquide inflammable sur l’unité.
11. Ne pas manipuler l’unité avez des mains mouillées. Ne pas vaporiser d’eau ou autre liquide sur le
climatiseur et ne pas immerger l’appareil.
12. Cet appareil n’est pas destiné à l’usage des enfants et une surveillance accrue est nécessaire lorsqu’il est
utilisé dans un endroit où il y a des enfants.
13. Ne pas insérer les doigts ou d’objets dans les grilles et les ouvertures. Bien avertir les enfants du danger.
14. Ne jamais vous servir du climatiseur s’il est protégé par une housse ou autre pouvant bloquer les entrées
et sorties d’air.
15. Pour un rendement maximal, toujours dégager le devant de l’appareil en enlevant tout ce qui risque de
bloquer ou d’affaiblir la circulation d’air froid (rideaux, verticaux, mobilier ou autres).
16. Ne pas surexposer la peau ou les yeux directement à l’air froid.
17. Avant de mettre le climatiseur en marche, assurez-vous que tous les accessoires et pièces sont correctement
installés.
18. Si une odeur inhabituelle ou de la fumée émanent de l’unité, débranchez immédiatement l’appareil et
communiquez avec le service à la clientèle de SUNRISE TRADEX (voir à la fin de ce guide).
19. Ne pas placer de plantes ou d’animaux directement sous le jet d’air froid.
20. Ne pas diriger l’air du climatiseur vers un appareil à combustion, cela pourrait en affecter le rendement.
