Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not
amount to a major failure.
1. TEAC warrants that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal domestic use with reasonable care and skill.
Maintenance and cleaning (i.e. laser head) is not covered by this warranty. The TEAC warranty only applies to TEAC products purchased
NEW from a TEAC Authorised Retailer in Australia. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
2. The benefits to the consumer given by this Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to
goods or services to which the warranty relates, being the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Refund or replacement via your TEAC Authorised Retailer is available for a period of 14 days after purchase for goods that have been
inspected and determined to have a major failure. Refund and exchange is not applicable for change of mind.
4. Subject to the terms herein, this warranty effectively covers TEAC products, excluding products purchased for commercial purposes, as
specified in the Warranty Periods Table below from the date of purchase. Commercial use products are covered for 12 months only
(Authorised Service Centre).

5. In Home Service/Pick up* Service
This service will only be provided as part of this warranty if all the following conditions are met;
a) The product is indicated in the Warranty Period Table.
b) The product is within the warranty period.
c) The product is located within the normal service area of the local TEAC Authorised Service Centre.
If TEAC determines that the product is not repairable on site, TEAC can complete the repair by taking the product to a TEAC Authorised
Service Centre.
Authorised Service Centre Service
The purchaser is required to send the product at their own expense to the nearest TEAC Authorised Service Centre for repair. In this event,
proof of purchase is required to support a warranty claim. After the repair, the product will be available for collection by or return to the
purchaser at a fee upon request. TEAC in-home service can be made available at a fee upon request.
6. A 12-month replacement warranty is applicable to all Accessories such as Remotes, Power Adapters and Cables.
7. TEAC will ensure to the best of its abilities that all required parts are made available for any required service/repair.
8. TEAC Australia Pty Ltd and its Authorised Service Centres will use their best endeavours to complete product repairs within a reasonable
period based on available resources and workload during the time when service is requested and performed.
9. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the product. In the case of a replacement, the product may be replaced, with a refurbished unit of the
same type or, if one is unavailable, a similar refurbished model with equal or better features and specifications.
10. Please be advised that if the product presented for repair is capable of retaining user-generated data, the data may be lost during servicing.
Customers are strongly encouraged to back up all important information/data before sending the product in for service/repair.
11. Service will be provided only during normal business hours and under safety conditions and circumstances. TEAC and its authorised service
agents can refuse any repair if safety, in relation to OH&S, becomes a concern to its staff or authorised service agents’ personnel.
12. The warranty is void and warranty claims may be refused, subject to the Australian Consumer Law, if:
a) The product was not transported, installed, operated or maintained according to manufacturer instruction, or
b) The product was abused, damaged, tampered, altered or repaired by any unauthorised persons, or
c) Product failure is due to accidents during use, installation or transit, power surges, use of defective or incompatible external devices, exposure
to abnormal conditions such as excessive temperatures or humidity, or entry of liquids, objects or creatures into the product, cockroach
infestations, or
d) The customer is unable to provide proof of purchase of the product for verification, or
e) The serial number of the product is missing or has been tampered with.
13. Where any repairs or services required that are outside of the terms and conditions of this Warranty are requested by the customer, or where
a fault is determined to be outside of the terms and conditions of the Warranty during an In-Home Service call, the customer shall be charged
for the cost of the repair and/or the In-Home service call fee.
14. No one is authorised to assume any liability on behalf of TEAC or impose any obligation on it, in connection with the sale of any equipment
other than as stated in this warranty and outlined above.
15. TEAC and/or its Authorised Service Centres reserve the right to inspect and verify whether the product is exhibiting a major failure as claimed
bycustomers/retailers.

WARNING
* Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing. Do not place liquid filled objects such as vases on
top.
* A minimum distance of 5cm should be left arround the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
* No naked flame sources such as lit candles should be placed on the apparatus.
* When replacing the battery, dispose of the old one in a safe and environmentally-friendly way.
* The apparatus can be worked regularly between 10 to 40°C.
* To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose to rain or moisture.
* The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as
newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
* Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
* The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
NOTE
To disconnect power from the apparatus completely, disconnect the main plug from the power outlet.
In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge, just reset the product (reconnection of the power
source may be required) to resume normal operation.
IMPORTANT
Since the CD circuitry may cause interference to other radio tuners nearby, switch this unit off when not in
use or move it away from the affected radio tuner.

POWER SOURCE
BATTERY POWER OPERATION
1. Open the BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR by pushing the catches downwards.
2. Install 6 x UM2 batteries carefully as indicated in battery compartment.
3. Close the BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR.
AC POWER OPERATION
Connect receptacle end of the mains lead to the AC SOCKET and the plug to an AC outlet.

OPERATION OF UNIT
RADIO OPERATION
RECEPTION OF RADIO PROGRAMME
1. Set the FUNCTION SWITCH to AM or FM position. The ON indicator will light on.
2. Tune in a desired station by tuning the TUNING KNOB.
3. For FM reception, pull out the antenna and adjust the direction, length and angle to have the best
reception.
4. For AM reception, rotate the unit to have the best reception.
5. Adjust the VOLUME KNOB for your desired listening level.
6. To turn off the radio, set the FUNCTION SWITCH to the OFF position.
PLAYING COMPACT DISC
- Set FUNCTION SWITCH to CD position. The ON indicator will light on.
- Use fingertip to open the CD DOOR. Place a CD into the compact disc compartment and close the
CD DOOR. The printed label side face upward.
- The CD TRACK DISPLAY will show the total number of tracks after a few seconds.
- " n o " will be displayed when there is no CD inside the CD compartment.
CD-R AND CD-RW PLAYABLE
This unit can play normal audio CD, CD-R and CD-RW disc.
PLAY / PAUSE BUTTON
Press once to start playing the CD, the CD TRACK DISPLAY will show the first track and the PLAY
INDICATOR will light on. Press once again to stop playing the CD temporary. The PLAY INDICATOR will be
flashing. Press once again to resume playing.
STOP BUTTON
Press once to stop playing the CD.
SKIP UP / SEARCH FORWARD BUTTON
Press once to skip to next track. Press and hold to search for a desired position at high speed forward.
Release the button to resume normal play.
SKIP DOWN / SEARCH BACKWARD BUTTON
Press once to skip back to the beginning of the current track. Press repeatedly to go to previous track.
Press and hold to search for a desired position at high speed backward. Release the button to resume
normal play.
REPEAT BUTTON
- Press once for single track repeat playing and the REPEAT INDICATOR will be flashing.
- Press twice for all tracks repeat playing and the REPEAT INDICATOR will be lighting.
- To cancel the repeat play mode, press the REPEAT BUTTON once or twice until the REPEAT
INDICATOR turn off.
To remove the CD from the unit, press STOP BUTTON and open the CD DOOR and take out the CD.
To turn off the CD playing, set the FUNCTION SWITCH to OFF position.
CD PROGRAM PLAYBACK
Programmed playback enables tracks on a disc to be played in the desired order.
1. Press once the PROGRAM BUTTON, the PROGRAM INDICATOR and " 0 1 " will be flashing
2. Press the "SKIP UP / SEARCH FORWARD" and / or "SKIP DOWN / SEARCH BACKWARD"
BUTTONS to select the desired track number.
3. Press once the PROGRAM BUTTON again to memorize the track.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired tracks are programmed.
5. Press the PLAY / PAUSE BUTTON to start playing. the PROGRAM INDICATOR will light on.
6. Press the STOP BUTTON to stop programmed playback.
7. Press the PLAY / PAUSE BUTTON to resume programmes playback.
8. Open the CD DOOR or turn off the CD playing to clear the programmed memory.
9. When in stop mode, press STOP button can clear program memories also.
NOTE : Programming can only be made when the CD playing is in stop mode.

AUX IN JACK
To listen to an external audio source, you need a stereo 3.5mm plug cable (Not included)
1 Connect one end of the 3.5mm plug into the output of the audio source, and the other end of the 3.5mm
plug into the AUX IN Jack.
2 Play the audio source.
3 Set the FUNCTION SWITCH to AM, FM or RADIO position. The ON indicator will light on.
4. You can now listen to the audio playing from the audio source through the unit.
Adjust the VOLUME KNOB for your desired listening level.
5. To turn off the unit, set the FUNCTION SWITCH to the OFF position.
Note: Remember always unplug the 3.5mm plug cable from the unit after use.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Caring for Compact Discs
* Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges.
Never allow your fingers to come in contact with the shiny,
unprinted side of the disc.
* Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc. to the disc label.
* Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint-free, dry cloth.
Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners to clean the
disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
* If a disc skips of gets stuck on a section of the disc, it is
probably dirty or damaged (scratched).
* When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight lines from the
center of the disc to the outer edge of the disc.
Never wipe in circular motions.
* This unit is designed to play only Compact Discs bearing the identification logo as shown here.
Other discs may not conform to the CD standard and may not play properly.
* Compact Discs should be stored in their cases after each use to avoid damage.
* Do not expose Compact Discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, high temperatures,
or dust, etc. Prolonged exposure or extreme temperatures can wrap the disc.
* Do not stick or write anything on either side of the disc. Sharp writing instruments, or the ink may
damage the surface.
IMPORTANT :
During the replacement of your used batteries, we request that you follow the current regulations as to their
elimination. We thank you for depositing them in a location foreseen for that purpose to ensure their elimination
in a sure manner and with respect for the environment.
