5Description of the unit
5.1 Functional description
The SmartTag is a multifunctional and flexible real-time tracking solu-
tion. It can be integrated into any interlogistic process at box, pallet,
container, truck or warehouse level. Integrated sensors measure tem-
perature, humidity, vibrations, light, air pressure, and geo-position and
send them to the cloud software via the mobile network.
The SmartTag itself can be used as a stand-alone real-time monitoring
system. It works as a live logger.
There are generally two versions of the SmartTag:
The single-use version (SmartTag S/SP) can only be used once with a
lifetime of up to one year. The multi-use version (SmartTag M/MP) can
be recharged and used multiple times.
The SmartTag operates as the link to the Tec4Cloud System, oering
full Internet-of-Things functionality via mobile connectivity worldwide.
