INSTALLATION OF YOUR TELSTRA EAGLETRACK SOLAR TRACKING
DEVICE
Your EagleTrack Solar Tracking device requires the following for installation:
•Drill bit and drill
•2mm drill bit for pre-drilling for sheet metal screws
•4mm drill bit when using included bolts
•Weatherproof Silicone with -20°c to 85°c temperature range
•Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol
•Clean rag
•7mm Socket or wrench
•4 sheet metal screws
INSTALLATION STEPS
The optimal installation location is high on the nose of the trailer, away from the corner, and just below the top rail.
The ideal position:
•4 sheet metal screws
•Has the GPS antenna facing upwards,
•Allows sunlight to reach the solar panel,
•Is at a higher height on the asset, where it remains cleaner than lower locations,
Note: The tracking unit solar panel performance will be impacted by dirt and grime so please ensure to
remove any obstructions for optimal charging.
•Is away from corners which are most commonly impacted by collision

EXAMPLE OF A SUITABLE LOCATION
1. Identify the location where the device will be mounted.
2. Clean the mounting location with a clean rag and isopropyl alcohol.
3. Orient the device with the power switch down.
4. Carefully mark where each of the four mounting holes should be drilled.
5. Drill each of the 4 holes using the required drill bit.
6. Place weatherproof caulk around each of the four mounting holes.
7. Screw the device to the trailer using the screws starting with the top mounting holes.
8. Clean up any excess caulk.
IMPORTANT: Remove the device and do not complete installation if it cannot be securely mounted to the trailer
for any reason.
