2 Safety instructions
This device is intended to be used for electronic sound generation using a piano key‐
board. Use the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use
under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in per‐
sonal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting
from improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sucient physical, sensorial, and intel‐
lectual abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons
may use this device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is
responsible for their safety.

DANGER!
Danger for children
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking
hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) from the unit. They could swallow the pieces
and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.
DANGER!
Electric shock caused by short-circuit
Do not modify the mains cable or the plug. Failure to do so could result in electric shock/death or re. If in doubt, seek advice
from a registered electrician.
DANGER!
Electric shock caused by high voltages inside
Within the device there are areas where high voltages may be present. Never remove any covers. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside. Do not use the device if covers, protectors or optical components are missing or damaged.
CAUTION!
Possible hearing damage
With loudspeakers or headphones connected, the device can produce volume levels that may cause temporary or permanent
hearing impairment. Do not operate the device permanently at a high volume level. Decrease the volume level immediately if
you experience ringing in your ears or hearing impairment.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to heavy weight
Due to the heavy weight of the device, at least two persons are required for transport and installation.
NOTICE!
Operating conditions
This device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, never expose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid
direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations. Only operate the device within the ambient conditions specied in the chapter
‘Technical specications’ of this user manual. Avoid heavy temperature uctuations and do not switch the device on immediately
after it was exposed to temperature uctuations (for example after transport at low outside temperatures). Dust and dirt inside
can damage the unit. When operated in harmful ambient conditions (dust, smoke, nicotine, fog, etc.), the unit should be main‐
tained by qualied service personnel at regular intervals to prevent overheating and other malfunction.

NOTICE!
External power supply
The device is powered by an external power supply. Before connecting the external power supply, ensure that the input voltage
(AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residual current circuit breaker.
Failure to do so could result in damage to the device and possibly the user. Unplug the external power supply before electrical
storms occur and when the device is unused for long periods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or re.

You need a Phillips screwdriver (not supplied) for the assembly of the digital piano.
Open the package and make sure before assembling that the entire scope of delivery
is present, as posted here.

1. Set up the digital piano near a power wall outlet.
2. Proceed according to the illustrations and only use the supplied screws. Using
other screws could damage the piano housing or result in a reduced stability of
the piano.

3. Put the pedal box (4) between the left (2) and right (3) side panel and use two
screws M6 × 40 (6) on each side to ax both side panels to the pedal box.
Attach the six plastic caps (7).

4. Fasten the rear panel (5) to the pedal box and the side panels with ten screws
4 × 15PA (8).

5. Place the digital piano case (1) on the frame and fasten it with six screws
6 ´18BM (9) and the two thumbscrews (10) to the side panels.

6. Fasten the headphone holder (12) with two screws 3 × 8BM (11) on the under‐
side of the digital piano housing.
7. Insert the DIN plug of the pedal cable (13) into the provided socket on the
bottom side of the digital piano housing. Insert the mains plug (14) into the
provided socket on the rear panel of the digital piano housing. Fix the cables to
the base and move the digital piano to the desired position.

1. Make sure that the device is turned o before you connect it to the power
supply or disconnect it.
2. Turn the volume control to minimum ( ).
3. Plug the power cord into a 230 V AC outlet.
4. Press to turn the digital piano on.
ðThe display shows ‘Loading.....’ .
If the digital piano is not in use or when a thunderstorm with danger of
lightning threatens, disconnect the device from its mains power for safety.

The signal of the connected external audio device is reproduced via the built-in loudspeakers of the digital piano.

Connect both channels (R and L / Mono) for stereo transmission. Only connect channel (L) for mono transmission.

6 Connection options
Via the [PHONES 1] and [PHONES 2] sockets, you can connect 2 sets of headphones.
Connecting headphones (not supplied) mutes the speakers.
CAUTION!
Possible hearing damage
Using headphones for a prolonged period and at high volume can
cause hearing damage.
Avoid using the device at high volume, especially when using head‐
phones.
Via the [AUX IN] socket, you can connect a, for example, CD or MP3 player or a micro‐
phone to the device. So you can playback music or vocals through the internal
speakers of the digital piano and simultaneously play along to it. Plug one end of the
audio cable into the [AUX IN] socket of the digital piano, and the other end into the
output of the respective audio device.
Move the slide switch for selecting the sensitivity to [MIC] to connect a microphone.
Move the slide switch to [AUX IN] to connect an external audio device, such as a MP3
player.
NOTICE!
To prevent damage to the speakers, turn the volume down to ‘Mini‐
mum’ before you connect a microphone to the keyboard. Disconnect
the microphone from the keyboard when it is not in use.
Via the socket [AUX OUT] you can connect the digital piano to an amplier, stereo
device, mixing console or recording device. Connect both channels (R and L / Mono)
for stereo transmission. Only connect one channel (L) for mono transmission. Plug
the other end of the cable into the input of the appropriate audio device.
NOTICE!
To prevent damage to the speakers, turn the volume down to ‘Mini‐
mum’ before you connect other devices to the digital piano.

You can connect the keyboard to a PC for data exchange via the USB-to-host inter‐
face.
NOTICE!
The digital piano supports the computer operating systems
Windows XP or higher and Mac OSX 10.8 or higher. Update your com‐
puter's operating system if necessary.
Do not set the USB-to-Host interface as the in and output at the same
time in the computer software. Otherwise, there will be overlap when
playing the digital piano.
The digital piano detects USB ash drives (USB stick) in the FAT 32 format that are not
partitioned. The digital piano supports USB ash drives (USB stick) between 2 GB and
128 GB in size.
The digital piano can play MP3 and SMF MIDI les saved in the root directory.
Recorded songs are also saved in the root directory. We recommend formatting the
USB ash drive (USB stick) before using the digital piano.
NOTICE!
Note that the USB ash drive (USB stick) must not be removed from the
digital piano while data is being saved, read or transferred or the USB
ash drive (USB stick) is being formatted, otherwise the USB ash drive
(USB stick) might be damaged.
Connect the pedal box to the provided connector on the bottom of the digital piano
housing.
Pedal functions:
Soft pedal
Using the Soft pedal makes the piano sound smoother and the overall volume is
attenuated.
Sostenuto pedal
When stepping on the Sostenuto pedal, the currently played notes linger until you
release the pedal.
Sustain pedal
With the sustain pedal all played notes sound longer. This eect simulates the
lifting of the damper in an analogue keyboard instrument.

7 Operating
7.1 Turning the digital piano on and o
1. Press to turn the digital piano on.
ðThe display shows ‘Loading.....’ .
2. Press to turn the digital piano o.
To prevent damage to the speakers, turn the volume down to ‘Minimum’
( ) before you switch the digital piano on.
If the display keeps blank when you turn the digital piano on, check the
power supply.
7.2 Adjusting the volume
Use the rotary control [MASTER] to set a comfortable volume for playing and prac‐
tising.
1. Turn the rotary control [MASTER] clockwise to increase the volume.
2. Turn the rotary control [MASTER] counterclockwise to reduce the volume.
7.3 Setting the tone colour
Use the rotary control [BRILLIANCE] to set the sound character of the digital piano.
1. Turn the rotary control [BRILLIANCE] clockwise to adjust the treble for the entire
keyboard.
2. Turn the rotary control [BRILLIANCE] counterclockwise to adjust the bass for the
entire keyboard.

7.4 Split point setting
Using this function you can select a point to split the whole claviature into two areas.
The preset split point is on piano key [F#3].
1. Hold down [SPLIT] and press a desired piano key that you want to be the split
point.
2. Release [SPLIT] .
ðThe split point has been set.
7.5 Metronome
1. Switch on metronome
Press [METRO] to turn the metronome on or o.
ðThe metronome beat can be heard.
2. Setting the tempo
While the metronome is playing, set the desired tempo in a range between ‘30
bpm’ and ‘280 bpm’ .
3. Turn the rotary control [TEMPO] clockwise to increase the tempo.
4. Turn the rotary control [TEMPO] counterclockwise to reduce the tempo.
5. Hold down the rotary control [TEMPO] to reset the tempo to the default set‐
ting.
6. Tempo marking
Hold down the rotary control [TEMPO] and release it when the display shows
‘Tempo Marking’ .
ðIn this mode you can see the corresponding marking of the current tempo
setting so that you can change the tempo to a specic, dened marking.
7. Setting the time signature
Set the time signature of the metronome in the function menu as described
under
Ä Chapter 7.8.5 ‘Metronome time signature’ on page 30.
If you turn on the metronome during recording, the metronome beat
will not be recorded.
