1 DESCRIPTION
(see front cover)
2 INSTALLATION
2.1 REMOVING/INSTALLING THE BELT CLIP
• To remove, pull the plastic lever located on top of the belt clip.
• Gently slide the belt clip away from the antenna until it’s separated from the
transeiver.
• To install the Belt Clip, slide the clip from bottom to the top into the appropriate
quides on the back of the transeiver until it locks.
2.2 BATTERY INSTALLATION
• Remove the belt clip (2.1)
• Push the battery cover and slide away from the antenna.
•Install four ‘AAA’ alkaline or rechargeable batteries following the polarity as shown.
• Re-install the Battery Cover and Belt Clip

4 GETTING STARTED
4.1 TURNING THE UNIT ON/OFF
To activate; turn the power On/Off button clockwise. After the click, the unit will “beep”
and the LCD Screen will display the current channel.
To switch off; turn the power button counter-clockwise until you feel a click.
The screen will turn blank.
4.2 ADJUSTING SPEAKER VOLUME.
Turn the power on-off button clockwise to increase the volume .
Turn the power on-off button counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
4.3 RECEIVING A SIGNAL
The unit is continuously in RECEIVE mode when the unit is ON and not transmitting.
4.4 TRANSMITTING A SIGNAL
• Press and hold the TALK button to transmit. The transmission LED indicator will
light up
• Hold the unit in a vertical position with the microphone 5 cm from the mouth and
speak into the microphone.
• Release the TALK button when you have finished transmitting.
NOTE: Use the monitor function to check the channel activity (see 5.2)
IMPORTANT: In order for other people to receive your transmission, they must
also be on the same channel.
4.5 SENDING CALL TONES
You can use Call Tones to alert the other user to identify yourself. You can also use Call
Tones to signal the beginning or the end of a transmission.
•Press and release the call button, the red transmission LED indicator will lightup and
the call tone continues for 3 seconds.
• Your call tone will transmit to nearby receivers set to the same channel.

5 OPERATION
5.1 CHANGING CHANNELS
The PMRS has 8 available channels.
To increase the channel press the up .
To decrease the channel press the down button .
Note: Any PMR set on the same channel can receive and listen to the
conversation.
5.2 MONITOR
You can use the Monitor feature to check for weaker signals in the current channel.
Press and hold the Monitor button M for normal monitoring.
Press and hold the Monitor button M until it “beeps” for continuous monitoring.
Press the Monitor button M again for ending the monitor function
5.3 BACK LIGHT
To activate/deacivate the back light press the monitor button M briefly.
5.4 BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL/LOW BATTERY INDICATION
•The battery charging level is indicated by the number of squares present inside the
battery icon on the LCD Screen.
• When the battery charge level is low, the battery icon will flash to indicate that the
batteries need to be replaced or recharged.
Note: when the unit is not used for 10 seconds, it will turn into power save mode.
P.SAVE will be displayed.
5.5 USING RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
Important: Do not charge this unit using an AC/DC ADAPTER with regular “AAA”
alkaline batteries installed. Only use the optional AC/DC ADAPTER with “AAA”
rechargeable batteries (not included).
To use the PMR with an AC/DC ADAPTER and rechargeable batteries do the following:
Insert four “AAA” rechargeable batteries (not included).

Plug the 12 V DC / 100 mA ADAPTER (not included) into the CHARGER JACK on the
bottom of the unit.
NOTE:The unit cannot transmit calls while the batteries are being charged.
It takes approximately 8 to 10 hours to fully charge the batteries.
6 SPECIFICATIONS
7 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
7.1 DAMAGE ANTENNA.
Do not use any communicator that has a damaged Antenna. If a damaged antenna
comes in contact with the skin, a minor burn may result.
7.2 BATTERIES.
As batteries can cause property damage and/or bodily injury such as burns if conductive
material such as jewelry, keys or beaded chains touches exposed terminals. The
material may complete an electrical circuit (short circuit) and become quite hot. Exercise
care in handling any charged battery, particularly when placing it inside a pocket, purse
or other container with metal objects.Do not replace or charge batteries in a potentially
explosive atmosphere. Contact sparking may occur while installing or removing batteries
and cause an explosion.

7.3 FOR VEHICLES WITH AIR BAG.
Do not place your Communicator in the area over an air bag or in the air bad deployment
area. Air bags inflate with great force. If a communicator is placed in the bag deployment
area and the air bag inflates, the communicator may be propelled with great force and
cause serious injury to the occupants of vehicle.
7.4 POTENTIALLY EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES.
Turn your communicator off when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere,
unless it is a type specifically qualified for such use. Sparks in such areas could cause
an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even death.
7.5 BLASTING CAPS AND AREAS
To avoid possible interference with blasting operation, turn your communicator off near
electrical blasting caps or in a ‘blasting area’ or in areas posted : ‘Turn off two way radio’.
Obey all signs and instructions.
Note : Areas with potentially explosive atmospheres are often, but not
always, clearly marked.They include fueling areas such as below deck on
boats, fuel or chemical transfer or storage facilities; areas where the air
contains chemicals or particles, such as grain, dust or metal powders; and
any other area where you would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle
engine.
7.6 ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE/COMPATIBILITY:
Nearly every electronic device is susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI) if
inadequately shielded, designed or otherwise configured for electromagnetic
compatibility.
Turn your unit OFF in any facilities where posted notices instruct you to do so. Hospitals
or health care facilities may be using equipment that is sensitive to external RF energy.
Turn your unit OFF when on board an aircraft when instructed to do so. Any use of the
unit must be accordance with airline regulations or crew instructions.

8 CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To clean the unit, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water. Don’t use a cleaner or
solvents on the unit; they can harm the case and leak inside, causing permanent
damage. Battery contacts may be wiped with a dry lint-free cloth. If the unit gets wet, turn
it off and remove the batteries immediately. Dry the BATTERY COMPARTMENT with a
solf cloth to minimize potential water damage. Leave the cover off the BATTERY
COMPARTMENT overnight or until completely dry. Do not use the unit until completely
dry.
9WARRANTY
This equipment comes with a 24-month warranty. The warranty will be honoured on
presentation of the original or a copy bill or receipt, provided the date of purchase and
the unit type are indicated.
During the time of the warranty Topcom will repair free of charge any defects caused by
material or manufacturing faults. Topcom will at its own discretion fulfil its warranty
obligations by either repairing or exchanging the faulty equipment.
Any warranty claims will be invalidated as a result of intervention by the buyer or
unqualified third parties.
Damage caused by inexpert treatment or operation, and damage resulting from the use
of non-original parts or accessories not recommended by Topcom is not covered by the
warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water
and fire, nor does it apply if the unit numbers on the equipment have been changed,
removed or rendered illegible.
Note: Please do not forget to enclose your receipt if you return the equipment.

2 INSTALLATIE
2.1 VERWIJDEREN EN INSTALLEREN VAN DE RIEMCLIP
• Om de riemclip te verwijderen, trekt u de fixeerlip naar u toe.
•Schuif de riemclip voorzichtig weg van de antenne tot deze loskomt van het toestel.
• Bij het terugplaatsen van de riemklip dient u een klik te horen ter bevestiging.
2.2 INSTALLATIE VAN DE BATTERIJEN
• Verwijder de riemclip (2.1)
• Druk op het batterijdeksel en schuif deze weg van de antenne.
• Plaats 4 AAA alkaline of oplaadbare batterijen in de batterijhouder. Let op de
polariteit van de batterijen !
• Plaats het batterijdeksel en de riemclip terug op het toestel.

4 BEDIENING
4.1 AAN/UIT SCHAKELEN.
Draai de Aan/Uit schakelaar in klokwijzerzin om het toestel aan te schakelen. Na de klik
hoort u een bieptoon. De display zal het ingestelde kanaal weergeven.
Draai de Aan/Uit schakelaar tegenwijzerzin tot u een klik hoort en de display informatie
verdwijnt.
4.2 LUIDSPREKER VOLUME AANPASSEN.
Het luidspreker volume kan verhoogd worden door de Aan/Uit schakelaar klokwijzerzin
te draaien.
Het luidspreker volume kan verlaagd worden door de Aan/Uit schakelaar tegen wijzerzin
te draaien.
4.3 EEN SIGNAAL ONTVANGEN.
Aangeschakeld bevindt het toestel zich steeds in ontvangst toestand.
4.4 EEN SIGNAAL ZENDEN.
• Druk op de Zend-toets. De Zend Indicator (5) licht op.
• Hou het toestel vertikaal op 5 cm van de mond en spreek in de microfoon.
• Laat de Zend toets los wanneer men het zenden wil beëindigen.
•
NOTA: Gebruik de monitorfunctie om de activiteit op het ingestelde kanaal te
controleren.
BELANGRIJK: Wanneer andere gebruikers uw uitgezonden signaal wensen te
ontvangen dient hun toestel ingesteld te staan op hetzelde kanaal.
4.5 OPROEPTOON
U kan een oproepsignaal sturen om andere gebruikers te verwittigen dat U een gesprek
wil voeren.
• Druk kort op de Oproep toets. De TX Led zal oplichten en er zal een oproeptoon
hoorbaar zijn gedurende 3 seconden.
• De oproeptoon zal uitgestuurd worden en alle naburige ontvangers zullen de
oproeptoon horen.

5WERKING
5.1 KANAAL SELECTEREN
De Twintalker 1000 heeft 8 beschikbare kanalen .
Om het kanaal te verhogen, druk de omhoog toets .
Om het kanaal te verlagen, druk de omlaag toets .
Nota: Elke PMR gebruiker ingesteld op hetzelfde kanaal kan steeds een gesprek
beluisteren.
5.2 MONITOR
U kan met de MONITOR functie nagaan of het ingestelde kanaal reeds in gebruik is. U
hoort geruis wanneer er geen activiteit is op het ingestelde kanaal.
• Druk op de Monitor (M) voor kortstondige controle.
• Druk op de Monitor (M) toets tot U een bieptoon hoort om continue een kanaal te
monitoren.
• Druk nogmaals op de Monitor (M) toets om het monitoren te beëindigen.
5.3 DISPLAY VERLICHTING
Om de display verlichting aan en uit te schakelen druk u kortstondig op de Monitor toets.
5.4 BATTERIJ INDICATOR.
•De lading van de batterij wordt weergegeven door het aantal streepjes in de batterij
indicator (zie § LCD display).
• Wanneer de lading van de batterij laag is, zal de indicator knipperen om te
waarschuwen dat de batterijen dienen te worden vervangen of opgeladen.
Nota: Wanneer het toestel 10 seconden niet is gebruik, zal deze in een
energiebesparingstoestand geplaats worden. De display geeft P.SAVE weer.
5.5 GEBRUIK VAN OPLAADBARE BATTERIJEN.
Belangrijk: Laad geen standaard AAA alkaline batterijen op door gebruik te
maken van een AC/DC adapter. Gebruik enkel de optionele AC/DC adapter met
oplaadbare AAA NIMh batterijen (niet inbegrepen).
Om de PMR te gebruiken met een AC/DC adapter met oplaadbare batterijen:

• Installeer vier “AAA” oplaadbare batterijen (niet inbegrepen).
• Plug de 12 V DC / 100 mA ADAPTER (optioneel) in de Hoofdtelefoon/Lader
connector aan de bovenzijde van de PMR en aktiveer het toestel.
NOTA: Het toestel kan niet zenden of ontvangen tijdens het laden. De laadtijd van
de batterijen bedraagt 8 tot 10 uur
6 SPECIFICATIES
7VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES
7.1 BESCHADIGDE ANTENNE.
Gebruik geen communicatietoestellen met beschadigde antenne. Als een beschadigde
antenne in aanraking komt met de huid, kan dit leiden tot lichte brandwonden.
7.2 BATTERIJEN.
Batterijen kunnen materiële schade en/of lichamelijk letsels (zoals brandwonden)
veroorzaken als juwelen, sleutels of kettingen in aanraking komen met blootliggende
aansluitpunten. Het materiaal in kwestie kan een elektrische kring sluiten (kortsluiting)
en als gevolg hiervan redelijk warm worden. Wees steeds voorzichtig in de omgang met
geladen batterijen, vooral wanneer u batterijen in de zak van een kledingstuk, een
beugel of op andere plaatsen bij metalen voorwerpen stopt. Waar mogelijk
explosiegevaar heerst, mogen geen batterijen worden vervangen of opgeladen. Bij het
installeren of verwijderen van batterijen kunnen immers vonken overspringen die dan
een explosie zouden kunnen veroorzaken.

7.3 VOERTUIGEN MET AIRBAGS.
Plaats uw toestel niet in de zone boven een airbag of in de zone waar de airbag wordt
opgeblazen. Airbags worden met zeer grote kracht opgeblazen. Als een toestel in de
opblaaszone van een airbag wordt geplaatst en de airbag wordt geactiveerd, kan het
toestel met grote kracht worden weggeslingerd en op deze manier ernstige letsels
toebrengen aan de inzittenden van het voertuig.
7.4 MOGELIJK EXPLOSIEVE OMGEVINGEN.
Schakel uw communicatietoestel uit in alle zones waar explosiegevaar heerst, tenzij uw
toestel speciaal hiervoor werd ontworpen. In dergelijke zones kunnen vonken explosies
of brand veroorzaken, met lichamelijk letsel of zelfs de dood tot gevolg.
7.5 ONTSTEKERS EN ONTPLOFFINGSZONES
Om eventuele interferentie met ontstekingsmechanismen te voorkomen, moet u uw
toestel uitschakelen in de buurt van elektrische ontstekers, ontploffingszones of zones
gemarkeerd met borden die het gebruik van PMR verbieden. Respecteer alle
waarschuwingsborden en instructies.
Opmerking: Gebieden waar mogelijk explosiegevaar heerst, zijn vaak - maar
niet altijd - duidelijk gemarkeerd.Tot dergelijke gevaarlijke zones behoren
onder meer brandstofvulinstallaties (zoals bv. benedendekse
brandstofinstallaties op boten), brandstofpompen en -opslagruimten,
chemische pomp- en opslaginstallaties, zones waarin de lucht chemische
stoffen of kleine deeltjes (zoals granen, stof of metaalpoeder) bevat, en alle
andere zones waar men normaal de motor van zijn voertuig moet afzetten.
7.6 ELEKTROMAGNETISCHE INTERFERENTIE.
Bijna alle elektronische toestellen zijn gevoelig voor elektromagnetische interferentie
(EMI) als ze onvoldoende zijn afgeschermd, niet goed zijn ontworpen of wanneer bij het
ontwerp geen rekening werd gehouden met de elektromagnetische bescherming.
Schakel uw toestel uit op plaatsen waar borden of instructies u hierom verzoeken. In
ziekenhuizen of andere gezondheidsinfrastructuur wordt soms apparatuur gebruikt die
gevoelig is voor externe energie afkomstig van radiofrequente bronnen.
Schakel uw toestel uit aan boord van vliegtuigen als u hierom wordt verzocht. Elk gebruik
van de PMR mag plaatsvinden met inachtname van de regels van de
luchtvaartmaatschappij en van de instructies van de bemanning.

8 REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD.
Voor het reinigen van het toestel gebruikt u een zachte, lichtjes met water bevochtigde
doek. Gebruik geen reinigings- of oplosmiddelen om het toestel te reinigen. Deze
producten kunnen de behuizing beschadigen en in het toestel terechtkomen, waar ze
onherstelbare schade kunnen aanrichten. De batterijcontacten mogen worden gereinigd
met een droge en pluisvrije doek.
Als een toestel nat wordt, schakel het dan uit en verwijder onmiddellijk de batterijen.
Droog het batterijvak met een zachte doek om eventuele waterschade tot een minimum
te beperken. Laat het batterijvak 's nachts open staan en laat het in elk geval open tot
het volledig droog is. Het toestel niet gebruiken tot het helemaal droog is
9 GARANTIE
De garantieperiode bedraagt 24 maanden. De garantie wordt verleend na voorlegging
van de originele factuur of betalingsbevestiging waarop de datum van aankoop en het
toesteltype staan vermeld.
Gedurende de garantieperiode verhelpt Topcom kostenloos alle defecten die te wijten
zijn aan materiaal- of productiefouten. Topcom kan, naar keuze, het defecte toestel
ofwel herstellen ofwel vervangen.
De garantieclaim vervalt bij ingrepen door de koper of onbevoegde derden.
Schade te wijten aan onoordeelkundige behandeling of bediening of aan het gebruik van
wisselstukken en accessoires die niet origineel of door Topcom aanbevolen zijn, valt niet
onder de garantie.
Niet gedekt door de garantie is schade ten gevolge van externe invloedfactoren:
bliksem, water, brand e.d. of wanneer het toestelnummer op het toestel werd gewijzigd,
verwijderd of onleesbaar gemaakt.
Opgelet: Als u uw toestel terugstuurt, vergeet uw aankoopbewijs niet mee te
sturen.

2 INSTALLATION
2.1 ENLEVER /INSTALLER LE CLIP DE CEINTURE
• Pour l’enlever, tirez sur le levier en plastique situé au sommer du clip de ceinture.
•Faites glisser doucement le clip de ceinture dans la direction opposée de l’antenne
jusqu’à ce qu’il se sépare de l’appareil.
• Pour installer le clip de ceinture, faites glisser le clip du bas vers le haut dans les
guides prévus à cet effet sur le dos de l’appareil jusqu’à ce qu’il soit verrouillé.
2.2 INSTALLATION DES PILES
• Enlevez le clip de ceinture (2.1)
• Poussez le couvercle des piles et faites-le glisser dans la direction opposée à
l’antenne.
• Installez quatre piles alcalines ou rechargeables ’AAA’ en respectant les polarités
comme indiqué.
• Replacez le couvercle des piles et le clip de ceinture.

4 MISE EN SERVICE
4.1 ALLUMER / ÉTEINDRE L’APPAREIL
Pour l’activer : Tournez le bouton On/Off dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre. Après
le clic, l’appareil émettra un "bip" et l’écran LCD affichera le canal actuel.
Pour le désactiver : Tournez le bouton On/Off dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une
montre jusqu’au clic. L’écran s’éteint.
4.2 RÉGLER LE VOLUME DU HAUT-PARLEUR.
Tournez le bouton On/Off dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre pour augmenter le
volume. Tournez le bouton On/Off dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre pour
diminuer le volume.
4.3 RECEVOIR UN SIGNAL
L’appareil est continuellement en mode RÉCEPTION lorsqu’il est allumé et ne transmet
pas.
4.4 TRANSMETTRE UN SIGNAL
•Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton TALK pour transmettre. L’indicateur DEL
de transmission s’allume.
•Tenez l’appareil en position verticale en maintenant le microphone à 5 cm de votre
bouche et parlez dans le microphone.
• Relâchez le bouton TALK lorsque vous avez fini de transmettre.
NOTE : Utilisez la fonction monitor pour vérifier l’activité du canal (voir le point 5.2).
IMPORTANT : Pour que d’autres personnes vous reçoivent, elles doivent
également se trouver sur le même canal.
4.5 ENVOYER DES TONALITÉS D’APPEL
Vous pouvez utiliser des tonalités d’appel pour avertir les autres utilisateurs de votre
présence. Vous pouvez également utiliser des tonalités d’appel pour signaler le début
ou la fin de la transmission.
• Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton call, l’indicateur DEL rouge de
transmission s’allume et la tonalité d’appel continue pendant 3 secondes.

5 FONCTIONNEMENT
5.1 CHANGER DE CANAL
Le PMR dispose de 8 canaux.
Pour passer à un canal supérieur, appuyez sur le bouton Monter .
Pour passer à un canal inférieur, appuyez sur le bouton Descendre .
Note :Tout PMR réglé sur le même canal peut recevoir et écouter la conversation.
5.2 VÉRIFICATION DE SIGNAUX
Vous pouvez utiliser l’option Monitor pour vérifier la présence de signaux plus faibles
dans le canal actuel.
Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton Monitor M pour une vérification normale.
Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton Monitor M jusqu’au "bip" pour un monitoring
continu.
Appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton M pour mettre un terme à la fonction monitor.
5.3 ÉCLAIRAGE ÉCRAN
Pour activer / désactiver l’éclairage écran, appuyez brièvement sur le bouton M.
5.4 INDICATION DE CHARGE DES PILES / PILES FAIBLES
• Le niveau de charge des piles est indiqué par le nombre de carrés présents dans
l’icône de la batterie dans l’écran LCD.
•Lorsque le niveau de charge des piles est faible, l’icône clignote pour indiquer que
les piles doivent être remplacées ou rechargées.
Note : Lorsque l’appareil n’est pas utilisé pendant 10 secondes, il se met en
mode d’économie d’énergie. P.SAVE sera alors affiché.
5.5 UTILISER DES PILES RECHARGEABLES.
Important : Ne chargez pas cet appareil en utilisant un adaptateur AC/DC avec
des piles alcalines "AAA" normales. Utilisez uniquement l’adaptateur AC/DC en
option avec des piles rechargeables "AAA" (non incluses).
Pour utiliser le PMR avec un adaptateur AC/DC et des piles rechargeables, procédez
comme suit :

Insérez quatre piles rechargeables "AAA" (non incluses).
Branchez l’adaptateur 12 V DC / 100 mA (non inclus) dans la prise de chargeur au bas
de l’appareil.
NOTE : L’appareil ne peut transmettre des appels lorsque les piles sont en
charge. Il faut approximativement 8 à 10 heures pour charger pleinement les
piles.

7 INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
7.1 ENDOMMAGÉE À L’ANTENNE.
N’utilisez pas un communicateur dont l’antenne est endommagée. Lorsqu’une antenne
endommagée entre en contact avec la peau, une légère brûlure peut en résulter.
7.2 PILES.
Les piles peuvent causer des dommages et/ou des blessures telles que des brûlures si
un matériau conducteur, tel que des bijoux, des clefs ou des chaînes à boulettes, touche
des terminaux exposés. Le matériau peut compléter un circuit électrique (court-circuit)
et devenir relativement chaud. Veuillez faire attention lors du maniement de piles
chargées, particulièrement lorsque vous les placez dans une poche, un sac à mains ou
tout autre chose avec des objets en métal. Ne remplacez pas ou ne rechargez pas les
piles dans une atmosphère potentiellement explosive. Des étincelles au niveau des
contacts peuvent se produire lors de l’installation ou de l’enlèvement des piles et
provoquer une explosion.

7.3 POUR LES VÉHICULES AVEC AIRBAG.
Ne placez pas votre Communicateur dans une zone au-dessus d’un airbag ou dans le
périmètre de déploiement d’un airbag. Les airbags se gonflent avec beaucoup de force.
Si un communicateur est placé dans le périmètre de déploiement d’un airbag et que ce
dernier se gonfle, il est possible que le communicateur soit projeté avec une grande
force et qu’il occasionne de sérieuses blessures aux occupants du véhicule.
7.4 ATMOSPHÈRES POTENTIELLEMENT EXPLOSIVES.
Éteignez votre communicateur lorsque vous vous trouvez dans une zone présentant une
atmosphère potentiellement explosive, sauf s’il s’agit d’un type spécialement prévu pour
un tel usage. Des étincelles dans de telles zones sont susceptibles de provoquer une
explosion ou un incendie, occasionnant de sérieuses blessures physiques ou même la
mort.
7.5 DÉTONATEURS ET ZONE DE DÉTONATION
Afin d’éviter toute interférence éventuelle avec des détonateurs, éteignez votre
communicateur lorsque vous êtes à proximité de détonateurs électriques ou d’une ’zone
d’explosion’ ou dans des zones où sont affichés des avis : ’Éteignez votre radio à deux
voies’. Respectez tous les signes et instructions.
Note : Les zones présentant des atmosphères potentiellement explosives
sont souvent, mais pas toujours, indiquées clairement. Elles incluent les
zones de carburant telles que le pont inférieur des bateaux, les
implantations de transfert ou de stockage de carburant ou de produits
chimiques; les zones où l’air contient des produits chimiques ou des
particules telles que des grains, de la poussière ou des poudres métalliques;
et toute autre zone où l’on vous conseillerait normalement d’éteindre le
moteur de votre véhicule.
7.6 INTERFÉRENCE/COMPATIBILITÉ ÉLECTROMAGNÉTIQUE :
Presque tous les appareils électroniques sont sensibles aux interférences
électromagnétiques (EMI) s’ils sont blindés, conçus ou configurés de façon inadéquate
sur le plan de la compatibilité électromagnétique.
Mettez votre unité en position OFF dans tous les endroits où des avis vous prient de le
faire. Les hôpitaux ou les centres de soins de santé utilisent des équipements sensibles
à l’énergie RF externe.

Mettez votre unité en position OFF lorsque vous vous trouvez à bord d’un avion quand
vous êtes invité à le faire. Toute utilisation de l’unité doit se faire conformément aux
régulations aériennes ou aux instructions de l’équipage de bord.
8 SOIN ET MAINTENANCE
Pour nettoyer l’unité, frottez avec un tissu doux humidifié avec de l’eau. N’utilisez pas de
détergents ou de solvants sur l’unité ; ils peuvent endommager le boîtier et pénétrer à
l’intérieur, causant des dommages permanents. Les contacts des piles peuvent être
frottés avec un tissu sec sans peluche. Si l’unité est mouillée, éteignez-la et enlevez
immédiatement les piles. Séchez le COMPARTIMENT DES PILES avec un tissu doux
afin de minimiser les éventuels dégâts causés par l’eau. Laissez le COMPARTIMENT
DES PILES ouvert pendant une nuit ou jusqu’à ce qu’il soit complètement sec. N’utilisez
pas l’appareil avant qu’il ne soit complètement sec.
9 GARANTIE
Les appareils de Topcom jouissent d’une période de garantie de 24 mois. La garantie
doit être prouvée par la présentation de la facture ou du reçu original, sur lequel sont
mentionnés la date de l’achat et le type de l’unité.
Pendant la période de garantie, Topcom réparera gratuitement toute panne due à un
défaut matériel ou de fabrication. Topcom assurera, à sa propre discrétion, ses
obligations de garantie en réparant ou en échangeant les unités ou les pièces
défectueuses.
Toute demande de garantie sera nulle en cas d’intervention par l’acheteur ou une tierce
partie non qualifiée.
Les dégâts ou pannes causés par un mauvais traitement ou une utilisation incorrecte et
les dégâts résultant de l’utilisation de pièces ou accessoires non originaux non
recommandés par Topcom ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.
La garantie ne couvre pas les dégâts causés par des facteurs extérieurs, tels que les
éclairs, l’eau et le feu. Aucune garantie ne peut être réclamée si le numéro de série sur
les unités a été modifié, enlevé ou rendu illisible.
