Completetheceilinginstallationaccordingtothefollowingsteps:
Step1.Removeaceiling,putthemountingbracketinthecentraloftheceiling,markthree
openholelocationsofthemountingbracketontheceiling,thenfollowtheinstructionsofthe
directionofnetworkinterfaceonthemountingbracket,figureashadowzoneontheceiling,
marka10mmdiametercableholelocation;
Step2.Accordingtothelocationofthemarkontheceiling,drillthree4mmdiameterscrew
holesanda10mmdiametercablehole;
Step3.Asshowninthefigurebelow,fixthemountingbracketwiththenut,washerandpan
headscrewtotheceiling;

Step4.Threadthecablethroughthecablehole,thenfixtheceilingandpressthecrystalhead,
seebelow:
Step5.PlugthecabletotheAP’sLAN/POEport,alignthemountingbracketandAPinthe
directionofthecableinterfaceandindicator,makesurethattheshortbayonetisaligntothe
shortcardslot.Seebelow:

SinceA10don’tassignIPaddressautomatically,you’rerequiredtosetupyourPC’sIPaddress
manually.ForPCorLaptopconnectedtotheA10wirelessly,pleasesetuptheWi‐Fiproperties
byfollowingsteps.
ForWindows10
1.ClickStart—ControlPanel—NetworkandInternet—NetworkConnection,right‐click
Wi‐Fi,andchooseProperties.
2. Double‐clickInternetProtocolVersion4(TCP/IPv4).

3.ChooseUsethefollowingIPaddress,inputtheIPaddressinthesamenetworksegment
withyourAP’sIPaddress.Bydefault,A10hastwoIPaddresses: 192.168.0.254and
169.254.0.254.ThepreviousoneisonlyusedwhenyourAPnotconnectedtoWi‐Firouter.
Sohereweinput169.254.0.254.Seebelow,thenclickOK‐‐OK.
3.2ConnecttoAP
1. Right‐clickWi‐Fi,clickConnect/Disconnect.

2. ChooseTOTOLINKA10,thenclickConnect.
3. Nopasswordrequiredbydefault,connectedsuccessfully.

1. Runanywebbrowser,typehttp://169.254.0.254inthewebbrowser,thenpressEnter.
2. InputtheUserNameandPassword,thenclickLoginbutton(ThedefaultUsernameand
Passwordisadmin).
3. NowyouhaveloggedintheAP’sinterface.
Ifyouhaveanyotherproblems,pleasecontactyourlocaldealer.
Note:
WhenyoufinishthesettingsforA10,DOREMEMBERtochangeyourPC’sfixedIPaddress
to“ObtainanIPaddressautomatically”.

TOTOLINKAC500isaWLANControllerthatusedtocentrallymanagetheconfigurationof
multipleA10.Ifyouneedtoinstallmorethan3ceilingmountAPs,werecommendyouuse
AC500tocentrallymanageallofthem.
4.1 WLANControllerConnection
1. ConnectAC500’stoPoESwitchorWirelessrouter’sLANport.
2. ConnectallAPstoPoEswitch’sRJ45port.
3. ConnectyourPCtoAC500.
4.2HowtoUseAC500
BeforelogintoAC500’sWebManagementInterface,pleasesetupyourPC’sIPaddressto
thesamenetworksegmentasAC500:192.168.0.253.

1. Runanywebbrowser,typehttp://192.168.0.253inthewebbrowser,thenpressEnter.
2. Input the User Name and Password, then click LOGIN (The default User name and
Passwordareadmin).
3. Now you have logged into the AC500’s Web Management Interface. The first page AP
ScanallowsyoutobindallceilingmountAPstothisWLANcontroller.(Hereyoucanfind
thefinalGateway ofeachAP).

4. ThenyoucancheckallAPs’workingstatusbyclickingAPStatus.
5. AlsoyoucancreatemultipleAPGroupstocentrallysetupandmanageAPs.OnlyAPsin
APGroupcanbemanagedunifiedly.

6. TheAPExtraSettingallowsyoutosetuponeAPseparately.
7. APManagementisdesignedtoconfiguretheAPGroup’sunifiedsettings,including
rebootsetting,firmwaremanagement,loginpasswordanddefaultsettings.
