To register and obtain your
Trafficmaster services:
1.Press the Smartnav button on your dashboard
2. The Trafficmaster PA will then take you
through all the registration details

Smartnav Button Quick-Start Guide

At start-up Wait (10 seconds) After starting the ignition wait 10 seconds before requesting a route
Request a route Hold (2 seconds) To request a route press the button for two seconds
(if the unit states guidance not active, press start button for longer):
• When your call connects give your destination to the operator.
• When your call is ended a route summary will be provided before turn-by-turn instructions commence.
Take me to my home Press twice quickly This destination is automatically set as the address you have registered with us.
Cancel a call request Hold (2 seconds) To cancel a request press the button for 2 seconds, you will receive a confirmation message.
Cancel a route Press 4 times To cancel a route press the button four times, you will receive a confirmation message.
Request a route (after deviating
from suggested route)
Hold (2 seconds) To request a manual re-route (as selected on your Smartnav website preference page) you should press the
button for two seconds. NB. If you have selected the automatic re-route function on your Smartnav page,
the route will be automatically re-calculated to your destination.
Repeat a message Press once To repeat a message press the button once.
Silence a message Press once To silence a current message press the button once during the message.
Volume adjustment Press 3 times To adjust the volume press the button 3 times:
• Eight volume levels will be given by the unit.
• To select the preferred volume press the button once at the required level.
Smartnav Assist -
Emergency & breakdown
Hold (2 seconds) Press the button to speak to a PA to request assistance from emergency services or alert your roadside
assistance provider
Safe Speed Option 3 short beeps
5 rapid beeps
continuous beeps
Press the button to speak to a PA to request assistance from emergency services or alert your roadside
assistance provider
Stolen Vehicle Tracking Option Obtain a Police Reference Number, then call 0344 561 9990 to speak to the control centre.
European Navigation Option Press your Smartnav button to request a route to a destinateion in mainland Western Europe.
Service is subject to a compatibale Smartnav unit and a UK subscription for the duration of the European stay.
