GROUNDINGINSTRUCTIONS
Thisappliancemustbegrounded.Intheeventofanelectricalshortcircuit,
grounding reducestheriskofelectricshockbyproviding anescapewire
for theelectriccurrent.Thisapplianceisequippedwithacord havinga
grounding wirewithagrounding plug.Theplug must bepluggedintoan
outletthat isproperlyinstalledandgrounded.
WARNING Improperuse ofthe grounding can result ina
risk of electricshock.
Consultaqualifiedelectricianor servicemanifthegrounding instructions
arenotcompletelyunderstood, or ifdoubtexist astowhetherthe
applianceisproperlygrounded.
•Donotuse anextensioncord. Ifthepowersupplycordistoo short, have
aqualifiedelectricianorservicemaninstall anoutlet neartheappliance.
Testing Containersand Utensils
Somenon-metalliccontainersandutensilsbecomeextremelyhotwhenusedina
microwaveoven. Toavoidriskofscalding, usethe followingprocedure to
determine if acontaineror utensilissafeformicrowaveuse:
1. Fill amicrowave-safecontainerwith1cup(250ml)of coldwater.Placeitin
themicrowaveovenalong withthe containeror utensil inquestion.
2. Turn theoven on maximumpowerfor1minute.Donotexceed 1minute
cooking time.
3. Carefullyfeelthecontainer.Ifthe emptycontaineriswarm,donotuseitfor
microwavecooking.
Earthgroundinginstructions
Thisdeviceshouldbeearthgrounded,itisanticipatedforaplugandsocketoutletwithearthing
contact.Theplugshouldbe connectedtoasocketwithanearthingpinthatis

Kitchenequipment
Alargevarietyoffoodscanbemixedtogether, defrosted, cookedor reheatedand servedinthesame
container. Thisisespeciallysuitableforappetizers, vegetables,casserolestews, drinksand soups.It
allowsyoutosavepreparationtimeandmakeswashingupquicker.
Coveringfood
Youmaywishtomaintainthenaturalmoistureofthefood.Ifthisisthe case,coverthe foodwith
waxedpaper orplasticmicroperforatedfilm.Ifyouwishtoletthemoistureescape, cookthefood
withoutcoveringit. Ifyouwishtoremoveexcessmoistureorgreasefromfood(suchasdryaperitif
biscuitsorbacon),letthemcookmoderatelyonpapernapkins. Coveringthefoodwithwaxedpaper
or plasticmicroperforatedfilmalsopreventsseriousburns.
Stirringandmixingthe food
Whenstirringfood,startfromthe outsidetowardsthecentre, asfoodiscookedfirstaroundtheedge
oftheplate.Itisthecentrewhichisthelasttobeheated.Somedishes, suchascasserole dishes,soups
or recipeswithacertaindepthshouldbestirredonce ortwice duringcooking. Other dishessuchas
roastmeats,poultryorcakesmayneedtobe turnedtoensureevencooking. Youcanadjustthe
timertoremindyouwhentostirorturnthefood.Ifthetotalcookingtime is6minutesandyouhave
tostirthefoodthreetimes,adjustthetimerto2minutes. Everytime the bell rings, openthedoor
andstirthedishfromthe outsideofthecontainer,putitbackintocook, closethedoor andadjustthe
timeragain.
Determiningthecookingdegree
Giventhatthefoodsurfacedoesnotbrowninthesame wayastraditionalcooking,youwill haveto
learnhowtodeterminethecookingdegree forsome foodsdifferently. Foodcookedbymicrowave
shouldgenerallybetakenoutofthe ovenbeforebeingcompletelycooked, cookingwillbecompleted
afterafewminutesstandingtimeinbetweentakingitfromtheovenandservingthe dishatthe
table.
Standingtime
Thestandingtimevariesaccordingtothetype andvolumeofthe dishandcanbe from2to3minutes

forsome vegetables,and upto10-15minutesfor roastmeatsandstews. The standingtimeenables
thefoodcookingtobecompletedand ensuresanevendistributionofheat.
Defrosting
Thedefrostingprogrammeofyourmicrowave ovenallowseasyandconvenientdefrostingofboth
frozenanddeepfrozenfood.Theelectromagnetenergyheatstheexternalsurfaceofthefoodandthis
heatslowlyspreadstowardsthe centre.Thisprocessallowsfoodtobedefrostedevenly. Otherthan
defrosting, thisprogramme isalsousefulforslower moremoderatecookingrequirements.Soups,
stewsand some saucescanbecookedinthedefrostingprogrammetoenable flavourstobemixed
andfortenderizingmeat. Dishesthathave alotofmilk,cheeseoreggscanbecookedinthe
defrostingprogrammesoastoavoidanyhardening.
Howdoyouusethedefrostingprogramme?
1. Placethefoodinthemicrowave ovenandclosethe door
2. Turnthepowerselectorbuttonintothe"DEFROSTING"position.
3. Adjustthe time tothetimerequired:
4. Closethedoor. Theovenlightwill switchonassoonasitbeginstooperate.
5.Once theselectedtime haselapsedorifyouopenthedoor, thelightswitchesoffandthe
microwave transmissionstops.
Microwavecookingadvice
Neverusemetalequipmentsuchassaucepansoraluminiumfoil. Ordisheswithgoldor silver
decoration.Covertheplatewithmicrowaveclingfilmorparchmentpaper.Aftercooking,leavethe
dishtostand,the heatand steamwillbe diffusedgivingthe foodmore textureandflavour. Caution,
whenseasoning,microwave cookingemitsflavoursandcausesamineralsalttaste.

Cleaningandmaintenance
Alwaysensurethatyourovenisnotinoperationbeforecleaningitbyremovingtheplugfromthe

socket. Ensurethattheinternalareaoftheoveniscleanand dry.
Internalwalls
Theinternalwallsoftheovenaremetalpainted, removesplashesandsplatters,aswellasany
condensationmoisture, withasoftclothFoodsplatterscanbe removedwithapapernapkinorwith
adampcloth.Removegreasestainswithaclothdampenedwithsoap, thenrinse anddry.Donotuse
anyabrasive materialsasthismay scratchordamagethepaint.Neverpour water intotheovenor
anyotherliquidthatislikelytocausedamage, inparticulartothedrive motorfor theglassplate.
Door
Splattersontheinternalsideofthedoor, aswellasonthedoorjointsandthesurroundingarea
shouldbecleaneddailywithwarmsoapywater, thenrinsedand driedcarefully. Itisrecommended
thatthemetalpartsofthedooraremaintainedwithadampcloth.Donotuseabrush, ascouring
pador anabrasive cloth. Intheeventofdamage tothe doorjointsorsurroundingarea,theoven
mustnotbeoperateduntilithasbeenrepairedbyanauthorisedafter-salesservicetechnician
approvedbythemanufacturer.
Externalsurface
Theexternalsurfaceoftheovenismetalpainted.Cleanthisareawithaclothdampenedwithwarm
soapywater, thenrinse anddrywithasoftcloth. Donotallowwaterintotheventilationinletsonthe
sidesandtotherearoftheoven.
Intheeventofabreakdown.
Iftheinternallightisnotoperating, ensurethat:
1. thepoweroutletisproperlydrivenand suppliedbythelinecurrent(conditionoffuse),
2. thedoor ofyourmicrowaveovenisproperlyclosed,
3. thetimerhasbeenadjusted,
4. theovenhasnotover-heatedandinthermalshutdownduetotheautomaticovencut-offprotection,
inthisevent, waitforittocooldownbeforeoperatingthe ovenagain.
Iftheinternallightisoperating, buttheovenisn tensure that:
1. thepowerselectorhasbeenproperlyadjusted,
2. theplate isrotatingnormally.

Caution!
Donotoperate theovenifthe plateisnotrotatingafter turningontoavoidfoodbeingpartially
reheated.Ifthe ovenisnotoperatingcorrectly, contactaspecialisttocarryoutanynecessarywork.
Innoevent,shouldthebackoranyothercomponentofthe microwave ovenbedismantled,exceptby
atechnicianapprovedbythemanufacturer, for carryingoutmaintenanceor repairs.The microwave
ovenisonlyintendedforhouseholduse;itshouldnotbeusedforprofessionalcommercialor
industrialpurposes.
