INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your purchase of the Unger Professional Rinse 'N' Go Max™
system. This manual will help you get set up and begin using your product right
away. When used as intended, this system will produce low total dissolved solids
or TDS (less than 20 ppm) pure water for auto, boat, RV and solar panels.
The science behind this product is called deionization, or ion exchange.
In this process, the minerals responsible for leaving spots on your vehicle and
windows are removed from the water. So, you can rinse the surface, walk away,
and still get spot-free and streak-free results. This water is meant to be used for
the nal rinse of your vehicle. You still need to wash dirt and grime off of your
vehicle as you would normally do when washing your vehicle. However, instead
of spending all of that time drying it by hand, you can rinse the vehicle with this
water and just walk away.
The Unger Professional Rinse 'N' Go Max™ system contains mixed bed ion
exchange resin to remove impurities out of ordinary tap water, turning it into
what is commonly referred to as pure water. Such impurities are referred to as
total dissolved solids (TDS) and are measured in parts per million (ppm).
Water is considered 100% demineralized or pure when its TDS is measured
at 0 ppm. The average TDS of drinking water is 180 ppm (see table in section
5.0). Pure water left on the surface will dry to a clean and spot-free appearance.
No power is required other than the tap water line pressure, which typically
ranges from 40-60 psi. This enables the system to produce pure water
at approximately 1.5 gallons per minute. Unger recommends testing the water
supply (TDS) before using this product at a pressure that does not exceed
115 psi (see section 4.0 for more information).
Mixed bed ion exchange resin eventually becomes exhausted and no longer
able to remove impurities. A TDS meter is included with the system to measure
the TDS level in the water that comes out of the system. TDS is a measure of
how pure the water is. Water that contains a TDS of less than 20 ppm should not
leave spotting on the car. The TDS must be less than 10 ppm for spot-free glass.
When TDS levels reach over 20 ppm the resin lter should be replaced.
Changing the resin lter is quick and easy (See section 6.0).

• Using the Rinse 'N' Go Max™ system, rinse your vehicle with pure (deionized)
water. If using the Soap Blasting Nozzle, turn the ow control knob to the water
only setting to ensure you don’t continue adding soap to the vehicle.
• Make sure to rinse every part of the vehicle with the water, including areas where
soap might get stuck, for example, around trunk, lights, fuel door and other seams.
• For best results, rinse the vehicle twice to remove all soap and ensure spot-free results.
• You’re done! No need to hand dry your vehicle. The puried water does all the
work for you so that your vehicle will dry completely spot-free! Just like if you
had it cleaned professionally.
4.0 USE AND OPERATION (CONT.)
USING THE TDS METER
1. Remove the protective cap.
2. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the meter on.
3. When water begins to ow out of the unit, ll the protective
cap with the water.
4. Insert the meter into the capful of water for 5 seconds.

6. Press the HOLD button in order to view the LCD when meter is
removed from the water.
7. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the meter off.
8. Dry the meter completely before replacing the protective cap.
When the TDS meter shows a reading of 20 ppm or higher,
spotting may occur and it is recommended that the resin lter
be replaced.

13
5.0 PURE WATER PRODUCTION
Tap water ows into the system’s lower connection port via tap pressure and
ows upwards through the Rinse 'N' Go Max™ tank. Pure water exits through the
top connection. When plumbing line pressures fall below 40 psi, a reduction in
ow rates will be noticeable.
The type of tap water you run through the system will impact how long you are
able to use the purifying resin lter before seeing spots and streaks. This is often
referred to as hard water. All water starts as soft water but the level of minerals,
such as magnesium and calcium, that are in the ground impact how hard the
water will become.
Soft water has a TDS reading of 100 ppm or less, while some regions with very
hard water have a TDS reading of 400 ppm or greater. This product is meant to
last 24 rinses with an average TDS reading of 200 ppm. To test the ppm level of
your water, you can use the TDS Meter to measure the water coming directly out
of the tap.
When washing your vehicle, we recommend using the pure (deionized) water
from the Rinse 'N' Go Max™ system for the rinse portion of the process only.
You can use the pure water to apply the soap and wash your vehicle, but you will
run through resin faster and it will not improve results.
Water TDS Reading Avg. # of rinses per
Resin Filter*
Soft <100 ppm 24-30
Medium 100 – 250 ppm 24-30
Hard 250 – 400 ppm 10-15
Very Hard 400 – 450 ppm 6-10
*All values based on 20 ppm as a maximum for pure water quality and an
average vehicle rinse time of 5 minutes.

14
Unger does not recommend the use of any other resin except that which is
