With power disconnected to the electrical box, remove the old fixture. If the old fixture is attached to
an electrical box having more that has two (2) wire leads, use tape and markings to keep track of
which wires were attached together.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
3. Located in the center of the fixture pan (A) is a round
knockout surrounded by 8 keyhole knockouts in various
orientations.
Remove the knockouts on the back of the
fixture pan (A) that closely match the positions of the
machine screws (BB) attached to the electrical box.
It is
recommended that a flathead screwdriver (not included)
be used to pry the knockout free. If the knockout does
not break free, use pliers and bend it back and forth until
it snaps off. Trace the black supply lead, white supply
lead and the ground wire (F) through the knockout and
to the back side of the fixture pan (A).
1.
Remove diffuser (C) from fixture pan (A). One of the
end caps (D) is fitted with a spring (E) that allows the end
cap (D) to pivot away from the diffuser (C). Pull back on
the end cap (D) until it clears the diffuser (C) and pull the
diffuser (C) up and away and remove. If the end cap (D)
does not easily pivot away from the diffuser, DO NOT
force it, try the opposite end cap (D).

4. If alternative support is needed to hold the fixture in
place, there are several prepunched holes in the fixture
pan (A) that can be used to attach the fixture to the ceiling
with wood screws (CC). Position the fixture pan (A) over
the machine screws attached to the electrical box and,
once in place, mark the desired holes on the ceiling.
Drywall anchors (DD) need to be installed prior to wiring if
fastening to drywall. Remove the fixture and drill a 1/8 in.
pilot hole into the marked locations. Insert the drywall
anchors into the holes and drive into place until flush with
the surface of the drywall. NOTE: If contact is made with
wood when drilling the pilot hole, DO NOT install the
drywall anchor and instead use a wood screw (CC).

7. Pull both the white and black fixture wire leads through
the center hole and make connections on the back side
of the fixture. Connect the supply leads from the electrical
box to the fixture wire leads using the wire nuts (AA). The
black lead from the fixture pan (A) is spliced to the black
supply lead, and the white lead from the fixture pan (A) is
spliced to the white supply lead. Ensure the wire nuts
(AA) are tight. Wrap electrical tape around the wire nuts
(AA) to prevent them from coming loose. Carefully push
the spliced wires back into the electrical box and remove
support chain (EE).

6. For safety and proper operation, the fixture must be
properly grounded. A green or bare copper ground wire
(F) is preattached to the fixture pan (A). If the electrical
box is made of plastic and has a green or bare copper
ground wire inside, the fixture ground wire (F) must be
spliced to the green ground wire in the electrical box
using one of the wire nuts (AA). If the electrical box is
metal and part of a grounded system and has no visible
ground wire, the metal electrical box and metal conduit
are already grounded at or near the circuit breaker panel.
The fixture pan (A) will be grounded via the machine
screws (BB). If unsure if the electrical box is properly
grounded, or the box is plastic and has no ground wire, or
are unfamiliar with the methods of properly grounding the
fixture, consult a qualified electrician.

5. Pull the fixture wires through the hole in the center of the
fixture pan (A) to the backside of the fixture. Using the
support chain (EE), connect one end to the back of the
fixture pan near the center in the specially designed slots
and hook the other end to the mounting ears on the electrical
box. This will allow for a hands-free support for wiring.

10. Install (2) 32-watt T8/3,000K up to 4,100K/10,000
hour/F32T8 fluorescent bulbs (not included). Do not use
any other wattage of linear fluorescent bulb. Install the
bulb into the bulb sockets (B) by aligning the pins of the
bulb with the slot in the bulb sockets (B). Using your
thumb and forefinger, press the metal ends of the bulb,
and roll the bulb forward until it rotates 90 degrees inside
the bulb socket (B), making contact between the bulb pins
and the bulb socket (B) contacts. Repeat for each bulb.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
8. CEILING JOIST MOUNTING:
While holding the fixture
pan (A) in line with the pilot holes, drive the wood screws
(CC) into the wooden studs. Tighten until the fixture pan (A)
has been secured to the mounting surface.
DRYWALL MOUNTING: For mounting into drywall, hold the
fixture pan (A) in line with the drywall anchors (DD) that
were installed in step 4 and drive the wood screws (CC)
into the drywall anchors (DD). Tighten until the fixture has
been secured to the mounting surface.
11.
While holding the diffuser (C) with one hand,
maneuver the diffuser (C) into the end of the fixture that
does not have a spring attached to the end cap (D) until
the diffuser (C) seats into the end cap (D).

BULB REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
3. Install the new bulbs in the same manner as old bulbs were removed.
Re-install the diffuser (C).
Restore power to the fixture.
4. Dispose of the old bulb(s) in accordance with local, state, and/or federal laws.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
12.
At the other end of the fixture, pull back on the end
cap (D) equipped with the spring (E) until that end of the
diffuser (C) clears. Raise the diffuser (C) into place until
the diffuser (C) seats and carefully release the end cap,
which will pivot back in place and securely hold the
diffuser (C).
Restore power to the fixture.
When bulb replacement is necessary, replace the bulb with a 32-watt, 120-volt/3,000K up to 4,100K/10,000
hour/F32T8 fluorescent bulb.
Before replacing the bulb, shut off power to the fixture at the circuit breaker or fuse panel. Allow
sufficient time for fixture and bulb to cool.

2. Remove the defective bulb by
using thumbs to press
and roll the bulb 90 degrees inside the socket
(B)
. This will
disengage the bulb contact pins from the socket
(B)
contacts. Then slide the bulb pins out of the socket

Periodically clean the fixture using a mild, non-abrasive soap based cleaner and soft cotton cloth.
Do NOT use solvents, cleaners containing abrasive agents, ammonia, or surfactants. When
cleaning the fixture, make sure you have the power turned off and do not spray liquid cleaner
directly onto the diffuser, bulb, socket, ballast, or wiring.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Minor problems often can be fixed without the help of an electrician. Before doing any work on the
fixture, shut off power supply at the circuit breaker panel to avoid electrical shock.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Fixture doesn’t light.
