5. Overview
The CAMCOLVC4 can be used as a passive IR sensor that captures
images every 3 seconds when motion is within PIR range, or as
webcam.
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

6. Use as PIR sensor picture camera
•Insert the included 256MB SD card (or another one, ≤1GB) into the
SD card slot [3], connector pins facing towards back of the camera.
•Make sure the power ON/OFF switch [7] is in the OFF position and
plug the DC connector from the included adaptor into the DC input
[1] from the camera. Plug the adaptor in a mains outlet.
Note: only use the included power adaptor.
•Wait at least 30s for the camera to initialize before switching the
power ON/OFF switch [7] to the ON-position. The camera will take a
picture every 3 seconds when motion is detected within the
detection range (±5m). Note that there is no date or time stamp on
the images. Image size normally <100KB.
•Press on the shutter button [4] to take an instant photo.
•The camera can be mounted on the wall using the included
mounting bracket. Do not point towards bright objects.
•To review the images, see §9.

7. Software installation
•Install the software before connecting the camera to a PC. Place
the included mini-CD into a suitable CD-loader. When the
installation doesn’t start automatically, locate the setup.exe file on
the CD and double-click it.
•Click ‘Next’ in the welcome screen.
•Select ‘I accept…’ in the license agreement screen and click ‘Next’.
•Click ‘Install’ to start software installation.
•In the Wizard completed screen, click ‘Finish’. The software is now
ready for use. Note that to use the CAMCOLVC4 as webcam, a
driver is also required (see §8).
8. Use as webcam
•Plug the A-plug of the included USB cable into a free USB port.
•Make sure the power ON/OFF switch [7] is in the ON position.
•Press and hold the shutter button [4] while plugging the mini-B
connector into the mini USB port [6].
•The ‘Found new hardware’ wizard starts♦. Select ‘Install the software
automatically’ and click ‘Next’.
♦If the wizard doesn’t start, disconnect the USB cable and verify
that the power ON/OFF switch [7] is in the ON position.
♦Check in ‘Device Manager’ – ‘Imaging Devices’ whether the
camera is listed as ‘MR97316 VGA Dual Mode Camera”
•A window pops up notifying the user that the software did not pass
‘Windows Logo testing’. This message can be ignored, click on
‘Continue Anyway’ to continue the installation.
•When installation is complete, click ‘Finish’.
•Locate the MR97316MarsPCAM icon on the desktop and double click
it. The application opens:

•Press the ‘start’- button ( ) to start capturing camera images. Press
the ‘stop’-button ( ) to stop.
•Go to ‘Option’ to configure camera settings e.g. brightness,
saturation, output size ….
•When the camera is running, press the -button to take a
snapshot. A thumbnail is shown in the application window. Select a
thumbnail and press the -button to save it to disk, or press the
-button to save all snapshots. Enter the desired storage directory.
Caution: when closing the application, snapshots that are not saved
to disk are lost.
9. Review images on SD card
•Images saved on the SD card can be transferred to a PC.
•Plug the A-plug of the included USB cable into a free USB port.
•Make sure the power ON/OFF switch [7] is in the OFF position.
•Plug the mini-B connector into the mini USB port [6].
•The PC will recognize the CAMCOLVC4 as an extra disk and
prompts what to do. Select ‘Open folder to view files’.
•All images are located under the ‘DCIM’-directory. Copy the desired
files to the PCs’ hard disk.
•It is also possible to use the
CAMCOLVC4 software to
copy images. Locate the
MR97316MarsPCAM icon on
the desktop and double
click it. The application
opens:
•Choose the source image(s)
and define the target
folder. Press the ‘Go’ button
to copy the selected
image(s).
Note: Always stop the device before unplugging the USB cable. Use
the ‘Safely remove hardware’-icon in the notification area to open the
dialog box and stop the appropriate USB storage device.

10. Troubleshooting
•To preserve the operational life of your SD memory card, store it in
a dry place and do not touch the gold contacts on the memory
card.
•This camera does NOT support hot swapping of the memory card, so
make sure to turn off the camera before removing the memory
card, failure to do so may result in loss of data or operational
problems.
Note: When using a new card, the new card must be formatted in
FAT/FAT16 format before using.

1. Inleiding

het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel
schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en

5. Omschrijving
De CAMCOLVC4 kan gebruikt worden als een passieve
infraroodsensor die om de 3 seconden een beeld maakt van de
beweging binnenin het bereik van de sensor, of als webcam.
Raadpleeg de figuur op pagina 2 van deze handleiding.

6. Gebruik als fotocamera
•Steek de kaart (SD-kaart van 256 MB of ≤1 GB) in het kaartslot
[3] zoals afgebeeld op de figuur op pagina 2.
•Zorg dat de aan-uitschakelaar [7] op OFF staat. Steek de DC-
stekker van de meegeleverde adapter in de DC-ingang [1] van de
camera. Koppel de adapter aan het lichtnet.
Opmerking: gebruik enkel de meegeleverde adapter.
•De camera zal gedurende 30 seconden initialiseren. Schakel daarna
de camera in. De camera registreert nu om de 3 seconden een beeld
van de beweging binnenin het bereik van de sensor (± 5 m). Het
weergegeven beeld geeft geen datum of uur weer. De beeldgrootte
is doorgaans < 100 kB.
•Druk op de sluiterknop [4] om een foto te maken.
•De camera is geschikt voor muurmontage dankzij de meegeleverde
beugel. Richt de camera niet naar lichtweerkaatsende objecten.
•Om de opgenomen beelden te bekijken, zie §9.

7. Installeren van de software
•Installeer de software alvorens de camera aan een pc te koppelen.
Plaats de meegeleverde cd-rom in de cd-romdrive. Dubbelklik op
het bestand [Setup.exe] indien de software niet automatisch
installeert.
•Klik op [Next] in het startvenster.
•Selecteer [I accept…] en klik op [Next].
•Klik op [Install] om de installatie te starten.
•Klik ten slotte op [Finish] om de installatie te voltooien. Om de
CAMCOLVC4 als webcam te kunnen gebruiken, moet u het
stuurprogramma nog installeren (zie §8).
8. Gebruik als webcam
•Steek de A-stekker van de meegeleverde USB-kabel in een vrije
USB-poort.
•Zorg dat de aan-uitschakelaar [7] op ON staat.
•Houd de sluiterknop [4] ingedrukt terwijl u de mini B-stekker in de
USB-poort [6] steekt.
•Er verschijnt een wizard(♦). Selecteer [Install the software
automatically] en klik op [Next].
(♦)Indien de wizard niet start, ontkoppel de USB-kabel en controleer
of de aan-uitschakelaar [7] op ON staat.
(♦)Controleer in [Device Manager] > [Imaging Devices] of de
camera als [MR97316 VGA Dual Mode Camera] in de lijst staat.
•Er verschijnt een pop-up met het bericht [Windows Did Not Pass
Logo Testing]. Klik op [Continue Anyway].
•Klik op [Finish] om de installatie te voltooien.
•Dubbelklik op de icoon [MR97316MarsPCAM] om de applicatie te
openen:
•Klik op om de beelden vast te leggen. Klik op om te stoppen.

•Ga naar [Options] om de camera in te stellen.
•Klik op om een momentopname te maken. Er verschijnt een
thumbnail in het applicatiescherm. Selecteer een thumbnail en klik
op om de momentopname te bewaren of klik op om alle
momentopnames te bewaren. Geef de gewenste directory in.
Opgelet: bij het sluiten van de applicatie worden alle niet-bewaarde
momentopnames gewist.
9. De opgenomen beelden bekijken
•De beelden die op de SD-kaart opgeslagen zijn, kunnen naar de pc
worden overgedragen.
•Steek de A-stekker van de meegeleverde USB-kabel in eeen vrije
USB-poort.
•Zorg dat de aan-uitschakelaar [7] op OFF staat.
•Steek de mini B-stekker in de USB-poort [6].
•De pc herkent de CAMCOLVC4 als een extra schijf. Selecteer [Open
folder to view files].
•Alle beelden staan onder [DCIM]. Kopieer de gewenste bestanden
naar de harde schijf van de
pc.
•U kunt de beelden ook
kopiëren via de software.
Dubbelklik op
[MR97316MarsPCAM] om
de applicatie te openen.
•Kies het bronbestand en de
doelmap. Klik op [Go] om
het bestand te kopiëren.
Opmerking: Schakel eerst de
camera uit alvorens de USB-
kabel te ontkoppelen. Klik op
[Safely Remove Hardware] om de randapparatuur correct uit te
schakelen.

10. Problemen en oplossingen
•Bewaar uw SD-kaart op een droge plaats en raak de vergulde
contacten niet aan.
•Deze camera ondersteunt geen hot swapping. Schakel de camera
dus eerst uit alvorens de geheugenkaart te verwijderen om
dataverlies of beschadiging te vermijden.
Opmerking: Formatteer een nieuwe kaart in FAT/FAT16-formaat.

5. Description
La CAMCOLVC4 s’utilise comme capteur IR passif enregistrant une image
toutes les 3 secondes après détection de mouvement, ou comme webcam.
Se référer aux illustrations à la page 2 de cette notice.

6. La CAMCOLVC4 comme capteur PIR
•Insérer la carte SD incluse ou une autre carte compatible de ≤1 Go dans
le port [3] comme illustré à la page 2.
•Placer l’interrupteur [7] sur OFF et insérer la fiche CC de l’adaptateur
secteur dans la prise CC [1] de la caméra. Connecter l’adaptateur au
réseau.
Remarque : n’utiliser que l’adaptateur fourni.
•Allumer la caméra après la réinitialisation de 30 secondes. La caméra
enregistre une image toutes les 3 secondes lors de la détection d’un
mouvement dans le périmètre de détection (± 5 m). L’image enregistrée
n’affichera pas de date ni l’heure d’enregistrement. La taille de l’image
est généralement de < 100 kB.
•Enfoncer le bouton de l’obturateur [4] pour capture l’image.
•La caméra se prête à un montage mural grâce au support. Ne jamais
pointer la caméra vers un objet réfléchissant la lumière.
•Pour visionner les images, voir §9.

7. Installation du logiciel
•Installer le logiciel avant de connecter la caméra à l’ordinateur. Insérer le
cédérom dans le lecteur. Cliquer double sur le fichier [Setup.exe] si
l’installation n’est pas automatiquement lancée.
•Cliquer sur [Next] dans la fenêtre de départ.
•Sélectionner [I accept…] et cliquer sur [Next].
•Cliquer sur [Install] pour lancer l’installation.
•Cliquer sur [Finish] pour compléter l’installation. Remarque : l’utilisation
de la CAMCOLVC4 comme webcam nécessite l’installation d’un pilote
(voir §8).
8. La CAMCOLVC4 comme webcam
•Insérer la fiche A du câble USB inclus dans un port USB libre.
•Placer l’interrupteur [7] sur ON.
•Maintenir enfoncé le bouton de l’obturateur [4] tout en insérant la fiche
mini B dans le port USB [6].
•Un assistant [Found new hardware] apparaît(♦). Sélectionner [Install the
software automatically] et cliquer sur [Next].
(♦)Si l’assistant n’apparaît pas, déconnecter le câble USB et s’assurer que
l’interrupteur marche/arrêt [7] soit placé sur ON.
(♦)S’assurer que la caméra soit listée comme [MR97316 VGA Dual Mode
Camera] dans [Device Manager] > [Imaging Devices].
•Une fenêtre de notification surgit mentionnant le message [Windows Did
Not Pass Logo Testing]. Ignorer ce message et cliquer sur [Continue
Anyway] pour continuer l’installation.
•Enfin, cliquer sur [finish] pour terminer.
•Cliquer double sur l’icône [MR97316MarsPCAM] pour ouvrir l’application :
•Cliquer sur pour enregistrer les images ; cliquer sur pour désactiver
la caméra.
•Configurer la caméra depuis le menu [Option].

•Cliquer sur pour effectuer une capture d’image. Une vignette apparaît
dans la fenêtre d’application. Sélectionner une de ces vignettes et cliquer
sur pour sauvegarder la capture d’image, ou cliquer sur pour
sauvegarder toutes les captures d’image sur le disque dur de l’ordinateur.
Sélectionner le répertoire de sauvegarde souhaité. Attention : toute
capture qui n’est pas sauvegardée sur disque dur sera effacée lors de la
fermeture de l’application.
9. Visionnage de images sur la carte SD
•Les images sauvegardées sur la carte SD peuvent être transférées vers
un ordinateur.
•Insérer la fiche A du câble USB inclus dans un port USB libre.
•Placer l’interrupteur [7] sur OFF.
•Insérer la fiche mini B dans le port USB [6].
•L’ordinateur reconnaît la CAMCOLVC4 étant un disque dur externe.
Sélectionner [Open folder to view files].
•Toutes les images sont localisées sous le répertoire [DCIM]. Copier les
fichiers souhaités vers e
disque dur de l’ordinateur.
•Il est également possible de
copier les images en utilisant
le logiciel. Cliquer double sur
l’icône [MR97316MarsPCAM]
sur le bureau. L’application
s’ouvre.
•Sélectionner le(s) fichier(s)
de source et le dossier de
destination. Cliquer sur [Go]
pour copier les images
sélectionnées.
Remarque : Éteindre la caméra
avant de la déconnecter. Cliquer sur [Safely remove hardware] pour
désactiver le périphérique de manière correcte.

10. Problèmes et solutions
•Stocker la carte SD dans un endroit sec et ne pas toucher les contacts
dorés.
•La carte mémoire n’est pas échangeable à chaud. Veiller à éteindre la
caméra avant de retirer la carte afin d’éviter les endommagements.
Remarque : Formater une nouvelle carte SD au format FAT/FAT16.
