TROUBLESHOOTING
Beforeremovingyouramplifier,refertothelistbelowandfollowthe
suggestedprocedures.Alwaystestthespeakersandtheirwiresfirst.
Checkforgoodgroundconnection.
CheckthatremoteDCterminalhasatleast7VDC.
Checkthatthereisbatterypoweronthe+terminal.
CheckallFUSES.
CheckthatProtectionLEDisnotlit.Ifitislit,shutoffamplifierbrieflyandthen
repowerit.
DisconnectallRCAinputstotheamplifier,ifhiss/noisedisappears,then
pluginthecomponentdrivingtheamplifierandunplugitsinputs.Ifhiss/
noisedisappears,goonuntilthefaulty/noisycomponentisfound.
Itisbesttosettheamplifierinputlevelasinsensitiveaspossible.Thebest
subjectiveS/Nratioisobtainablethisway.Trytodriveashighasignallevel
fromtheheadunitaspossible.
AMPLIFIERWILLNOTPOWERUP.
HIGHHISSORENGINENOISE(ALTERNATORWHINE)INSPEAKERS.
Checkthattheminimumspeakerimpedanceforthatmodeliscorrect.
Checkforspeakershorts.
Checkthatthereisgoodairflowaroundtheamplifier.Insomeapplications,
anexternalcoolingfanmayberequired.

Checkthatallcrossoverfrequencieshavebeenproperlyset.
