INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CHARGING DOCK
CHARGING
Please make sure the watch is placed in the
correct position and then close the cover.
Then plug the big end of the USB cable to
a power source until the charging icon
appears on the screen.
POWER OFF
Long press the “Side Key” to
turn on your watch when the
“Off” option is selected from
the “More” Menu.

INSTALLING THE VOLKANO ACTIVE APP
To download the Volkano Active App, please
direct your browser to the following website:
volkano.co.za/active-app or scan the QR
code below from your phone.

CONNECTING THE WATCH TO MOBILE PHONES
1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. Pair your smartphone with the watch (see “Locating the Bluetooth Menu”
for more details).
3. Open “Volkano Active” on your smartphone, set your profile from the
Settings Menu in the “My Profile” tab.
4. Tap “Connect the smartwatch” in the Settings Menu.
5. Select “VK-5069” from the list of devices.
6. A success prompt will Appear on-screen. Tap “Next” to navigate to
the App’s dashboard.
FOR ANDROID AND IOS
Connect the smartwatch with a mobile phone:
1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. Open “Volkano Active” on your smartphone, set your profile on Settings.
3. Tap “Connect device” on Settings.
4. Select bracelet connect.
5. Follow the steps, search your device name and connect it.
Unbind the smartwatch with a mobile phone:
1. Open “Volkano Active” on your smartphone.
2. Tap “Disconnect device” on Settings.
3. Forget your device on your smart phone Bluetooth settings.

CONNECTING WITH PAIRED DEVICES
Once the Volkano Active is turned on, it will automatically connect with the last
paired Bluetooth device that is switched on and within range. If the Volkano
Trailblazer Watch does not connect automatically, open the Volcano Active App and
connect it again.
CONTROLS
• Long touch screen to switch the main menu interface.
• Taped the program you want to start.
• Long press the “Side Key” to switch the watch ON when it is in
a powered-off state.

FUNCTIONS
Long press the screen to

the watch dashboard is

WATCH FACE
The watch will record your daily activity
automatically. After synchronizing with the
Volkano Active App, you may check your number
of steps, calories burned and distance data on
your smartphone.
PEDOMETER

MULTI-SPORT
Click the sport mode to enter
the multi-functional sport
function.
The bracelet has six
comprehensives:
Walking, Running, Cycling,
Running Indoor, Hiking and
Swimming. You can choose
which mode you want, and
when you move, the bracelet
will record the motion data.
You can set up your sport goal that you want
(Distance, Calories, Time, Free style).

When the GPS icon is white, it means
the GPS is loading. When the icon
turns green, it means the GPS has been
located successfully.
If you are in swimming mode, you need
to calibrate the compass before entering
the sport to make the recording more
accurate.
The smartwatch will locate the GPS
automatically before the sport starts.
You can skip the GPS loading.
GPS

• In the Walking, Running, Hiking, Running
Indoor sports interface, the watch will display
the Data, Pace, Heart rate, Duration, Distance,
Steps, Calories.
SPORT INTERFACES
• In the Cycling sports interface, the watch
will display the Data, Pace, Heart rate,
Duration, Distance, Calories.
• If you are in swimming mode, you need to
calibrate the compass before entering the
sport to make the recording more accurate.
• In the Swimming sports interface, the watch
will display the Data, Duration, Distance, Laps,
SPL (number of arm swings in swimming).
Slide the screen to the right, the sport will pause.
You can choose to continue or stop the sport.
If you started the swimming mode, the touch
screen will be locked, you can only control it by
pressing the side button, long pressing the side
button will pop up the pause interface. Then
press the side button to switch the selection and
long press the side button to confirm.

HEART RATE
SLEEP MONITOR
Tap the interface of monitor heart rate to start.
After syncing with the Volkano Active App,
you can check your heart rate data on your
smartphone.
Swipe right from the watch face or tap the
notification icon to view the notification
contents. Includes incoming call, SMS, QQ,
Wechat, Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter
message notifications.
ALARM
Set the alarm via the Volkano Active App. Tap
the screen to check that the alarm is correct.
When the alarm is on, its icon will be animated
and the watch will vibrate.

NOTIFICATION
Swipe right on the watch face or tap the
notification icon to view the notification
contents. Includes incoming call, SMS, QQ,
Wechat, Whatsapp, Facebook, and Twitter
message notifications.
WEATHER
After synchronizing with the Volkano Active
App, the watch will show the weather forecast.
You can manually set the city or set up an
automatic city in the App.

MORE
COMPASS
Touch the Screen to enter “Find Phone, About
and Power Off”.
Slide to the top of the navigation or click on the
compass’ picture to enter the compass function.
The compass must be calibrated before use –
draw a horizontal 8 with the arm. The pointer of
the compass will point to the north.
STOPWATCH
You can use the stopwatch to calculate the time.
Tap icon to start the stopwatch.
Tap icon to pause the stopwatch.
Tap icon to reset the stopwatch.
Tap to record the time the stopwatch.

MUSIC CONTROL
Tap to select the last song, play / pause,
the next song and back.
SEDENTARY
REMINDER
You can set the conditions in the App, including
the start to the end of the period, time interval
(minutes), threshold value (steps) and repeat
setting (weeks).
FIND PHONE
Long press the “Side Key”. After the
smartwatch has connected with the Volkano
Active App, your smartphone will ring.
Note: If you have an iPhone, your Volkano
Active App will need to be running to activate
this function.

ABOUT
Tap the screen, you can check the Bluetooth Mac Address, Device name and
Firmware Version of your Volkano Active App.
DASHBOARD
The dashboard displays performance indicators of the day including weight, sleep, and
heart rate.
SHARE
This button allows you to share your progress through social media.
ENTRY WEIGHT
This page allows you to enter your current weight, set an ideal weight and the date you
want to reach the ideal weight.
CALENDAR
This button displays the calendar.
ACTIVITY
This page displays a log of all the activities recorded while wearing the Active.
REMINDER
This page allows you to set reminders.

SETTINGS
MY PROFILE: This page allows you to change your profile information.
GOALS: This page allows you to change and set goals for Steps, Distance, Calories and
Sleep. Once you have made changes, tap the save button.
NOTIFICATIONS: This page allows you to toggle which App notifications Appear on the
Volkano Trailblazer Watch.
ADVANCED SETTINGS: This page allows you to toggle settings related to Weather,
Movement, Heart Rate, Drinking Water, Do Not Disturb and Gesture Control.
FIND THE SMARTWATCH: Tapping this makes the Volkano Trailblazer Watch vibrate to
allow you to locate it.
GOOGLE FIT: Toggling this setting “On” will allow the Volkano Active App to send your
performance data to Google Fit.
THEME: The theme of the App may be changed from this page.
CONNECT THE SMARTWATCH : This page allows you to choose which Volkano Active
Tech Series Watch to connect with.
FIRMWARE UPDATE: Here you are able to update the Volkano Trailblazer Watch’s
firmware. Please keep the App running and have a stable internet connection active
when updating. Please note that data charges may apply when using this function over
a cellular connection.
RESET: Tapping “Reset” clears all the stored performance data from the Volkano Active App.
ABOUT: This page displays the Volkano Active App version information.

invalidates the warranty and the supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or
damage caused when using the device for any other purpose than that which it was

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the device by a person responsible for their safety. Extreme caution must be exercised.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the Volkano
Trailblazer Watch or Charging Dock. Packaging must never be left within reach of
children as it is potentially dangerous.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Before Cleaning: Ensure that your Volkano Trailblazer Watch is not connected to the
Charging Dock and is switched off before cleaning or maintaining it.
• Cleaning: Wipe down the surface of your Volkano Trailblazer Watch using a soft,
slightly damp cloth.
• Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning chemicals or materials on your Volkano
Trailblazer Watch as doing so may damage or scratch the surface finish.
• Do not expose your Volkano Trailblazer Watch to high temperatures for extended
periods of time.
• Do not store in temperatures over 60 °C.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use
separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information
regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed
of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater
and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being.

DISCLAIMER

This Volkano Active Tech Trailblazer Series Smartwatch includes a standard 12-month
limited warranty against manufacturing defects and faults. Should your product be
unboxed with any faulty parts, poor finishing or visible damage, or fail to perform
due to a manufacturing defect or poor workmanship, please return it with your proof
of purchase (till slip or invoice) to the store of purchase for an exchange, or repair,
depending on the store’s returns policy.
This warranty commences from the date of purchase.
Kindly retain your proof of purchase as well as the packaging for your warranty period.
NOTE:
The Warranty does not apply to a Product that:
a.) Has failed due to excessive wear and tear beyond what is considered to be
reasonable.
b.) Has been misused or neglected.
c.) Has been damaged accidentally or by acts of God including fire and flooding.
d.) Has been used or operated contrary to operating or maintenance instructions
outlined in this manual.
The Store of Purchase / Seller cannot accept any returned products that have not been
returned in accordance to this warranty or which does not follow their own Returns
Policy. Please refer to the Store of Purchase / Sellers Returns Policy for details.
