HOW TO USE THE RAZOR HD SPOTTING SCOPE
Mount the Razor HD
Attach the Razor HD to a tripod or car window mount for steady viewing. Simply secure
the tripod mount foot on a quick-release plate or mounting plate of the tripod head.
The tripod foot attaches to
tripod or car window mounts
with 1/4 x 20 screw threads.
Adjust the eyecup
The adjustable eyecup on the 50 mm Razor HD spotting scope folds back so you can
observe the full field of view if you wear eyeglasses or sunglasses. Fully extend the eyecup
for best viewing without glasses.
Fold the adjustable eyecup back
when viewing with glasses.

Adjust the focus
After setting the magnification, some refocusing is usually required. Adjust the focus of
the Razor HD with the tip of a finger:
• Slowly turn the fast focus dial until the subject is nearly in focus.
• Turn the fine focus dial to pick out the finest details.
Not only does this two-step
focusing allow you to see
critical details, it also ensures
fatigue-free viewing.

Fine Focus Dial
The versatile magnification of the Razor spotting scope allows you to view a wide field
of view at a lower power, then zoom in on distant details at a higher power. Change the
magnification of your spotting scope by simply turning the magnification adjustment ring:
Adjust the magnification
• Increase the magnification by
turning the adjustment ring in a
counter-clockwise direction.
• Decrease the magnification by
turning the adjustment ring in a
clockwise direction.
Caution: Never look directly into the sun (or any other intense light) with your Razor HD spotting
scope. This could cause damage to the retina and cornea of your eyes to the point of causing blindness.

CARE AND HANDLING TIPS
Keep lenses clean
Keep your Razor HD spotting scope in its protective padded case while viewing. If
your spotting scope gets wet, be sure to dry it out thoroughly before packing it away.
For long-term storage, choose a dark, well-ventilated place.
For the best viewing, regularly clean the exterior lenses:
Note: *Never use facial tissue, heavy cotton, or flannel fabric—these materials can scratch the
surface of a lens. Use lens cleaning fluid and an optical tissue or cloth to clean lenses.
• Remove any dust or grit from the lens before wiping. Use a can of pressurized air,
soft camel hair brush or an acrylic optical brush.
• Clear lenses of smudges, fingerprints or eyelash oil. Fog the lens with your
breath, then use a non-abrasive lens cloth* to clean the lens.
