Care and maintenance
This product is made of aluminium and
stainless steel. The parts will darken
naturally over time and fingerprints,
grease, water, etc. may leave stains on
the surface. If you wish to keep the high
polished surfaces, wash with mild soap
or detergent, then rinse in clean water and
wipe dry with a soft cloth. The product
should never be placed in a dishwasher.
Use a 4 mm Ø wick for best result.
The quality of wicks differs, it is
recommended to use the wick provided
with the lantern. Spare wicks can be
bought at holocenefromwastberg.com.
Recommended functional height of the
wick is 3 mm. Use only high quality clear
paraffin oil for oil lamps. Wipe the lamp
clean of possible oil spill between uses.
Warning
Keep this oil lamp out of reach of children
1–3 years old, both in use and when
stored.
In case of small children, just a sip of
lamp oil – or even sucking the wick – may
lead to life-threatening lung damage.
If lamp oil is swallowed, do not induce
vomiting. Seek medical advice immediately
or contact a poison information centre and
show these warnings.
If the burner is over-filled or the burner lid
is not properly screwed on to the burner
base, a minor oil leak may occur. If the
lamp is placed on a fragile surface, we
recommend to use a trivet.
