1. Before using
FineShot includes various applications to store and edit the diverse still capture and moving image
capture as USB camera where CMOS sensor is mounted. This user’s guide describes the environments
of computer and how to use in detail for smooth utilization of product. Please read this user’s guide in
full before using.
1) Product components
The following components are included in the FineShot packing box.
Be sure to check them before installation.

The version and content of FineShot bundledprograms can
be altered according to the circumstances of this company

5) Cautions
Read and observe the items below carefully for the life span of FineShot camera and user safety.
lDisconnect the USB cable when the camera is not in use for a long time.
lDo not disassemble, repair,or reconstruct the product.
lKeep away from magnetsor speakers.
lDo not disassemble, repair,or reconstruct the lens.
lWipe the lens with a clean cloth if the screen appears fuzzy despite focusing.

2. Installation
FineShot works in Windows98, Windows Measure, and Windows 2000 and upgrades are supplied
afterward without charge through the Internet
(www.webertech.co.kr)
It is desirable to finish all installation programs before using.
FineShot viewer program and Application program are installed.
If there is an installer among the bundledsoftware, check the version information before installation.
-Installation order –
Insert the CD in CD-ROM -> Install the Application -> Install The
Driver -> Windows Restartr -> Connect the FineShot camera
with USB port -> Camera driver is installed automatically
1) Installation of FineShot camera Driver and Applicantion
A. Insert the enclosed CD in CD-ROM. Auto Run
B. First Select Install the Application.
Setup is started as below.(Application)
Firstly, files for Setup is extracted and InstallShield Wizard for installation is prepared.

C. Click [Next], and continue to install program.
D. If you agree Software License Agreement, installation is continued. If not, installation is stopped.
E. Select folder where SetUp will install files by [Browse].
F. Select program folder, and then click [Next].

G. On performing requested operations, it shows you [SetUp Status] as below.
If you want to stop it, click [Cancel].
H. After copying all files, SetUp is completed.
I. Sencond Select Install the Driver.
J. Select Language install after Windows Restart.

3. Digital Camera Features and Applicantion
1) Digital Camera Features(Mode switch repeatedly cycles)
a. Normal-26/99 appears in the LCD
b. Ar –Audio Record
Press the mode button until ‘Ar’appears in the LCD. Pressing the Snap button within 5 second
will cause the camera to start recording for s long as the snap button is pressed down. If the
snap button is not pressed within 5 second the camera will revert to normal picture taking mode.
Whilst recording, the LCD display flashes ‘Ar’. If the recording stops because the memory is full,
the ‘memory full’audio tone is sounded and the display will stop flashing and display ‘00’.
c. AP –Audio Playback
Press the mode button until ‘AP’appears in the LCD. Pressing the snap button within 5 second
will cause the camera to play back the most recent audio recording. If the snap button is not
pressed within 5 second the camera will revert to normal picture taking mode. Whilst playing, the
LCD display flashes ‘AP’. once in Audio Playback mode, repeated press of the snap button will
step the camera through each of the audio recordings in the camera(most recent first). Keeping
the snap button pressed down will also cycle through the audio recordings. Pressing mode
button during playback will stop the audio clip. (Minimum audio recording length is set to 0.5
second)
d. dA/dP/dC –Delete Last Object
Delete last object is selected using the mode button. If the last object captured was an audio
recording ‘dA’(delete audio) will be displayed, if the last object was an image, then ‘dP'(delete
Picture) will be displayed, or if the last object was part of a confinuous capture sequence, the
‘dC’(delete continuous) will be displayed. If the camera is empty, the mode will be suppressed.
The mode works in the same way as ‘CL’(Clear All), ie. Once the mode is selected, pressing the
snap button once will cause the camera to beep and ‘dA’, ‘dP' or ‘dC’, to start flashing. Pressing
the snap button again within 5 seconds will delete the last audio clip, picture or continuous
capture sequence.
e. Ct –Continuous mode
Pictures may be taken continuously for as long as the snap button is pressed(and the camera is
not full) as follows: Press the mode button until ‘Ct’appears in the LCD. Pressing the snap
button within 5 second will cause the camera to start taking pictures for as the snap button down.
If the snap button is not pressed within 5 seconds the camera will revert to normal picture taking
mode. (Note1. During continuous mode the camera will allow pictures to be taken regardless of
the available light, which could result in insufficient exposure. See Application “Avi Create”for
how to convert the pictures taken into a video clip.)

(Note2. In continuous mode, only every alternate field is grabbed hence capture rate is halved.
Eg 12.5fps CIF and 7.5fps VGA)
(Note3. Continous Mode is suppressed when the FlashGun is enabled)
f. St -Self timer
Press the mode button until ‘St’appears in the LCD. Pressing the shutter button will now start a
10-second self-timer. The camera will issue a short beep every second and then a longer beep. A
further beep will then indicate that the picture has been taken(high beep –picture successful, low
beep –insufficient light, picture not taken.) The self-timer mode can not be selected when the
camera is full.
g. CL –Clearing the camera memory
Press the mode button until ‘CL’appears in the LCD. Pressing the snap button once will cause
the camera to beep and the ‘CL’to start flashing. Pressing the snap button again within 5 second
will clear all the images/audio clips in the camera and reset the counter.
h. Hr/Lr –Changing picture resolution
To change the resolution, press the mode button until the resolution option is displayed, either
‘Hr’to change to high-resolution mode(if you are currently in low-resolution mode) or ‘Lr’to
change to low-resolution(if you are currently in high-resolution mode). Press the snap button
within 5 second of selecting the resolution option, the camera will beep and the display will reset
indicating of picture available in the new mode. The picture resolution can be changed at any time,
i.e. the camera can store both high and low resolution images.
2) Digital camera Application
A. Camera Control(In use Winodws StartUP)
This application warns the user that there are images in the camera before going into video mode and
gives them an opportunity to save the images.
The application can also be run from ‘start-program-startup-CamCtrl’
You can change the Camera Control options by double clicking the CAMCTRL icon the ‘system tray’,

options:
a) ‘Enable Plug and Save’–this will bring up a dialog box as shown in Figure 2 every time a camera
with images stored in it’s memory is plugged into the PC

b) ‘Disable video when images in camera’–This will warn the user when they attempt to start a
video application with images in the camera, See figure 4
c) ‘Exit on Close’–closes down the Camera Control application(the user will not be warned that there
are images in the camera when opening a Video ‘VFW’application)

If you click ‘Yes’, all the images in the camera will be stored to C:\My Documents\. They are stored in
the format ‘day_month_year_time_image number.bmp’(see Figure 3). You can change the file name
and directory in the usual manner.

After saving the images the CamCtrl application now gives you the option to delete all the images in
the camera, Figure 4.

(2) Video Mode
When opening a Video application you will be warned that you need to delete all the images in the
camera before continuing. The video application will not be able to open the camera until you have
cleared the images.

B. Event Sound (Example wave file in CD)
This application allows you to download .wav files to the camera replacing the existing event sounds.
The app can also be run from ‘start-program-FineShot-Event sound’
•Press the Connect button to connect the camera to the application
•Press Quit to close the application
•Press Open file to upload the .wav files to the application
•Press Play, after uploading a .wav file to the application, to listen to it on the PC
•To download it to the camera, click on the small box, top right hand corner of app, (event will now
move to ‘Events to be downloaded’list) then click on the ‘DownLoad’button.
•Press the Clear All button to clear the list of ‘Events to be Downloaded’. Note: This button just now
also closes the connection to the camera.
•Press the UNDO button to remove the highlighted sound in the ‘Events to be Downloaded’list. The
removed sound will be placed at the bottom of the ‘All Events’list.
•Press DownLoad to download the custom sounds from the application to the camera(custom sounds
must first of all be uploaded to application and be placed in ‘Events to be downloaded’list)
•Open Profile/Save Profile –After uploading all the required .wav files to the application(.wav files
now stored in ‘Events to be downloaded’list) it is possible to save these files as a ‘Profile’. This saves
the user having to download each file one by one.
