• Check the load-bearing parts and welds for damage before each use! If defects are found, the use of the plate stand must
be discontinued and use by third parties must be prevented by suitable measures.
• Make sure that the surface on which you place the plate stand has sufficient load capacity!
• The substrate under the support profiles must have sufficient load-bearing capacity!
• The maximum permissible load on each of the two sides is 5 T on each side when loaded evenly.
• The stone slabs may be a maximum of 2m high and a maximum of 3.2 m wide! It is important to ensure that the stone
slabs are adjusted centered.
• The stone slabs must rest against the trestle over the entire height of the A-post, which corresponds to a slope of 6 °.
• The stone slabs must be placed parallel to the support frames. Slanting the stone slabs, that means the stone slabs do
not rest on both support racks, is not allowed!
• The stone slabs must be moved carefully in the plate stand.
• Staying under suspended loads is prohibited!
• Keep the work area clean and ensure adequate lighting!
• Always wear appropriate protective clothing when handling the plate stand, in accordance with the applicable
regulations!

6.1 Setting up the slab stand
• It must be ensured that the stone slabs [A1] to be set are a maximum of 2m high and a maximum of 3.2m wide!
• The A-frames must be set up so that ¼ of the plate length on the left [C1] and ¼ of the plate length on the right [B1] survive.
• Make sure that the surface under the plate stand has sufficient load capacity, otherwise the plate stand could sink in and fall over.
• Determine the dimension X [D1] using the adjusted stone slabs and prepare the A-pillars accordingly. Note that the two A-stands are
both parallel and at the same height, that means the imaginary line from the two end points [E1] must be at right angles to the A-stands!
Be careful, the two A-stands must be parallel and at the same height, that means the imaginary line from
the two end points [E1] must be at right angles to the A-stands! Make sure that the load-bearing capacity
of the subfloor is sufficient!
• Now place an A-stand in each case and support the A-stand laterally [G1] on the opposite side with the aid of a 1.5 m long bar and a
clamp [F1].
• In the next step, center the first stone plate, carefully place it on the A-stand. Please note that the flagstone is completely against the
two A-posts [H1]. The stone slab must therefore stand at an angle of 6 ° [I1] in the slab stand.
• By attaching the first flagstone, both A-stands stand firm.
• If at least one stone plate is set in the plate stand, the two supports [G1] can be removed. Please note that when removing the last
flagstone, the two A-stands fall over again without any lateral support!
6.2 Stack slabs in the slab stand
• It is important to ensure that the stone slabs to be set are a maximum of 2m high
and a maximum of 3.2m wide!
• Carefully place the stone plate centered in the plate stand. It must be ensured that
the flagstone is resting on the A-stand [A2] over the entire length (this corresponds
to a slope of the stone slabs of 6 °).
• The maximum permissible load capacity of the plate stand is 5 tons per side when
loaded evenly, this means that the plate stand must be loaded with approximately
the same weight of stone slabs on both sides.
• The adjustment length per side is 675mm or 925 mm, moreover, no more stone
slabs may be adjusted
Be careful, the plate stand must be loaded on both sides with approximately the
same weight of stone slabs! With uniform loading, a maximum of 5to per side can be
set, on a maximum length of 675mm or 925 mm per side!

xNow the next stone slab can be adjusted. Care must be taken that the stone slabs are
adjusted with a maximum allowable inclination of up to 6 °. Furthermore, the stone
slabs must be set to the A-stands [A2] at right angles, oblique placement is not
allowed! That is, the flagstone is set wrong when the flagstone rests only on the left or
right of the support frame.
7 Maintenance and repair
The plate stand requires regular maintenance.
• Pay attention to the safety regulations in chapter 4.3!
Below are listed the activities that must be carried out by the operator of the plate stand, by a person with the
appropriate expertise!
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by non-observance of these instructions!
According to ZH 1/428 it is a storage device, which has to be checked regularly by an expert.
However, this inspection must be carried out at least once a year.
• Pay attention to the safety regulations in chapter 4.3!
• Inspect the plate stand once a year for rusty spots, especially all welds.
• Remove the rust and protect it by applying a suitable antirust agent, zinc spray.
