Refreshing the Experience
Time: 2 hours
Unit will not be able to make drinks during this time.
TOOLS REQUIRED
• PPE (Liquid Proof Gloves and Goggles)
• 2.5 Gallon Shaker Jug
• Clean 5 Gallon Bucket
• Clean-In-Place (CIP) Hose
• 000000084 Manitowoc Ice Maker Descale
• 020007801 Sanitizer/Cleaner Stera-Sheen
• 020007989 FreshBlender Ice Dump Chute
• WBL-95-136 Freshblender Door Key
• Clean Towels
nWarning
Do NOT save or consume ice that has been dispensed
from unit during Ice Bin Dump or Cleanout. Discard
immediately.
Instruction
1. Enter the Employee, Manager, or Service Menu.
A. Menu screens are hidden and will require a password.
From start screen, touch the three corners in the
order shown to access the password screen.
B. Leave the field blank and press ENTER to access
the Employee Menu. Manager and Service Menus
require passwords.

NOTE: If the TOUCH TO START or OUT OF SERVICE screen is not
currently displaying on the machine you must first enter a Flavor
Selection screen then double tap the BACK button to bring the
TOUCH TO START screen back up.
2. Press CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS.
3. Press START CLEANING under ICE DESCALE.
4. Locate necessary supplies and press NEXT.
5. Ensure drain hose at rear of unit is connected correctly.
6. Disconnect water supply line located at rear of unit.
7. Press CONFIRM to begin draining water out of ice
maker system.

8. Ice Bin Dump
A. Place ice dump chute as shown.
B. Place empty 5 gallon bucket at end of chute to
catch dispensed ice.
C. Press DISPENSE to start ice bin dump. Press PAUSE
to halt dispensing as needed to dispose of ice.
Press RESUME to resume dispensing.
D. Dispense ice until bin is empty.
E. Remove ice dump chute and set aside.
F. Press NEXT once all ice is dispensed.
NOTE: Ice bin must be empty before pressing NEXT button.
9. Prepare for descaling ice maker.
A. Fill shaker jug with 1 gallon of lukewarm water
and mix in approved descale solution as per
manufacturer’s instructions.
B. Use key to unlock the top machine door.
C. Connect the CIP hose to the CIP pump quick
disconnect fitting located on front of machine.
NOTE: Dipping connector end of CIP hose in clean warm
water will make connection easier.
D. Place other end of cleaning hose into shaker jug
with descale mixture.
E. Press CONFIRM. Ice maker descale cycle will begin
countdown followed by descale ice production.

10. Prepare to rinse ice maker.
A. Connect water supply line at rear of unit.
B. Press CONFIRM to begin rinsing ice maker.
11. Ice maker and reservoir evacuation.
A. Disconnect the water supply line from the rear of
unit.
B. Press CONFIRM to begin draining water from the
ice maker system.
NOTE: Water supply line must be disconnected from the
unit. Ensure drain is connected.
12. Remove and clean shaker jug from unit.
13. Prepare for sanitizing ice maker.
A. Fill shaker jug with 1 gallon of lukewarm water
and mix in approved sanitizer solution as per
manufacturer’s instructions.
B. Use key to unlock the top machine door if needed.
C. Connect the CIP hose to the CIP pump quick
disconnect fitting if needed.
D. Place other end of cleaning hose into shaker jug
with sanitizer mixture.

E. Press CONFIRM. Ice maker sanitizing cycle will
begin countdown followed by ice production.
14. Prepare to rinse ice maker.
A. Connect water supply at rear of unit.
B. Press confirm to begin rinsing ice maker.
15. Ice Maker and Reservoir Evacuation
A. Verify drain is still connected correctly.
B. Disconnect the water supply line from the rear of
unit.
C. Press CONFIRM to begin draining water out from
the ice maker system.
NOTE: Water supply line must be disconnected from unit.
16. Ice production cleanout.
A. Connect water supply line at the rear of unit.
B. Disconnect cleaning hose from unit.
C. Use key to secure and lock upper door.
D. Press CONFIRM.
NOTE: System will make ice for 20 minutes to thoroughly
clean out system. The ice will need to be dumped out once
the production is complete.
17. Perform Ice Bin Dump (Cleanout).
18. System will make ice for 20 minutes to fill ice bin.
NOTE: Temporarily Unavailable screen may display while
unit replenishes ice bin.
