1 Preface
Please read this manual carefully before using the device. Please also keep this manual for future
reference. Installation and commissioning must be done by professionals in accordance with current
standards. When commissioning, have your installer inform you about the use, operation and
maintenance of your appliance. Any changes to the controls by unauthorized persons will void the
warranty and release Well Straler from all responsibility for the safety and proper functioning of the
device.

All replaceable parts must be accessible. The appliance must be positioned in such a way that
it can be removed without breaking.
2 Guarantee
The guarantee only applies to any construction defect, and is only valid for appliances installed by
a recognized installer. It runs for two years from the delivery date. The guarantee is limited to the
simple exchange of the parts that are recognized as defective by our technical service and this to the
exclusion of any compensation or interest. Travel costs and manual labor are at the expense of the
consumer. The guarantee is void if the device is either poorly maintained or misused, or if it is
damaged in an accident or disaster, which can be attributed to a cause external to the device itself,
or if it has been repaired by unauthorized persons.
Any complaints will be handled exclusively through the supplier.
The device should be checked for errors or damage when opening the packaging. Under no
circumstances may the appliance be installed in the event of any damage. Well Straler is not
responsible for any additional costs if a damaged device is installed.
3 Introduction
The myfire APP is suitable for use on a smartphone or tablet and can be downloaded for free from
Google's Play Store or Apple's App Store. With the help of the Wi-Fi BOX and the myfire APP, the
possibilities of your fireplace are expanded. For example, it is possible to set personal preferences
per user, the myfire APP has more extensive programming options and an advanced ECO mode.
After installing the Wi-Fi BOX, it is still possible to operate the fireplace with the supplied remote
control. For the operation of the remote control, refer to the user manual of your fireplace.

4 Installing the Wi-Fi BOX
4.1 Description of various parts
The Wi-Fi BOX can only be connected to Mertik-Maxitrol receivers with a blue sticker and a 10
button remote control.
If your fireplace is equipped with a receiver with a silver sticker and a 4 button remote control, the
receiver and remote control must be replaced with a newer receiver (ref: 24006) and remote control
(ref: 26017) with blue sticker. If the appliance has a fan, also replace the fan control (ref: 24005) by
one with a blue sticker.
The power adapter (ref: 27038) is only required for units without a fan.

4.2 Connecting the Wi-Fi BOX
Make sure that there is no electrical voltage on the appliance when you connect the Wi-
Fi BOX!
The Wi-Fi BOX must be connected to the SI port (Serial Interface) of the receiver. The cable
provides both data transfer and power to the Wi-Fi BOX.
4.3 Connecting the Wi-Fi BOX for appliances without a fan
For appliances that are not equipped with a fan, a power adapter must be connected to the receiver.

4.4 Setup Wi-Fi BOX
As soon as the Wi-Fi BOX is connected, the LEDs on the Wi-Fi BOX light up.

5 Set up myfire APP
5.1 Download app
To download the myfire app,
enter the search query "myfire" in
the Apple App Store or Google
Play.

5.2 Welcome screen
Touch the screen to start the app
setup.
5.3 Choose the language, temperature scale and time format
1. Choose the language.
2. Select °C or °F.
3. Select the 12 or 24 hour clock.
4. Touch “Next” to continue.

5.4 Log in / Register
You must register before you
can log in. If you are already
registered, you can immediately
proceed to the registration.
Registration is a one-time
procedure. Touch the “Register”
button.
Or
Sign up and accept the “Terms
and Conditions”. Touch the
“Login” button.
5.5 Registration –privacy policy
1. Fill in your details.
2. Create a password of at least 8
characters in length.
3. Confirm password.
4. Accept the "Privacy Policy".
5. Touch the “Register” button.

Touch “OK” in the pop-up window.
5.6 Registration –e-mail
Touch the link in the
confirmation email for
verification.

A verification message will
appear confirming your
registration for the myfire app.
Tap the “Back to the app”
button.
5.7 Login
1. Your E-mail address will be
filled in automatically.
2. Enter your password.
3. Accept the terms and conditions.
4. Touch the “Login” button.

5.9 Connecting the myfire Wi-Fi Box to the Wi-Fi router
1. Enter the password of your
Wi-Fi Router.
2. Touch the “Connect”
button.

The connection of the myfire Wi-Fi
Box to your Wi-Fi Router may take
a few seconds.
When the connection is established,
the myfire Wi-Fi Box exits the
Access Point Mode (Hot Spot) and
is connected to the Wi-Fi Router.
If successful go to point “5.10
Settings of your gas fire”
If Kwik Connect is not available
follow the next steps.
5.9.1 Kwik Connect is not available
Touch the “Standard Setup” button.
If an error occurs during the
standard setup, please reset the Wi-
Fi Box (7 sec.) and start the
installation again from the
beginning.

A pop-up message will appear
prompting you to access your
smartphone's Wi-Fi settings.
Touch the “OK” button.
5.9.2 Wi-Fi Settings
In the Wi-Fi settings of your
smartphone, connect your
smartphone to the myfire Wi-Fi
BOX:
turn off 4G so that your
smartphone doesn't switch
automatically. While you are
directly connected to the WiFi
BOX you will not have access to
the internet.

1.Enter the password below in
the popup window:
MYFIREPLACE
2.Go back to the app
5.9.3 Connect the myfire Wi-Fi BOX to the Wi-Fi router
Once back in the app it will ask to
reconnect to your Wi-Fi network
as the transfer is complete.
In your smartphone's Wi-Fi
settings, reconnect your
smartphone to your Wi-Fi
network. After that, return to the
app.
Touch “OK” if correct.

5.10 Settings of your gas fire
If your fireplace is equipped with a
fan, lighting and AUX button, touch
the circle to activate the
corresponding function.
If the time settings are not correct,
press the button with the arrows
next to it.
At the end of the settings, confirm
the fireplace settings by touching
the "End" button.
Do not forget to select the symbol for appliances equipped with a fan!
5.11 Connected myfire Wi-Fi BOXes
Now a list of all connected myfire
Wi-Fi BOXes is displayed.
Touch the “Start APP” button to
complete the installation and app
setup.
Setup completed.
Updates available.
Setting incomplete.
Wi-Fi BOX not compatible.

5.12 Congratulations
The myfire app is ready to use and
the home screen appears.
6 Reset options

If no network is set, the “Access-Point” mode is activated
for 2 hours. If the network is not set up after 2 hours, the
Wi-Fi Box will go into “Stand-By” mode.
Once a network has been set up, the Wi-Fi box will
establish a direct connection.
