Product Description
Thankyoufor purchasingthe WildSpotFlash product.ThisWildSpot Flash IRX-810 infraredflash
boostercan helpto enhance thequality of photosandvideos fromanight visionhunting camera or CCTV
system byincreasingthe IRlight illumination. It is compatible withany brands of general IR game
camera underthe default MASTER settingand used withthe attached gooseneck IR sensor. Another
attachedcable isused for a connection directly between this boosterandthe scoutingcamera whichis
alreadyequippedwith an Ext-Boosterport. Alsoit doessupport moreIR extenderswithasamecable,
thereareupto4setsof boosters available tobeextendedin achain connectionfor gettingupto4times
ofilluminationas youneed.Arotarymountingisflexiblefor placingiton anywheretoadjusta desired
direction fromit'soriginal view point. Itwill standbyall nights andonly consumesaverylow power.
Therefore,apairofgoodquality Alkalinebatterieswill remain theboostertowork for morethantwo
monthsin thefieldfor takingmorethanafewthousandimagesundernormal conditions.

Preparation
The powerisrequired2pcs goodquality Dcell Alkalinebatteriesfor the best result.Afterinstallingbatteries
intothe compartmentaccordingtothe polarity moldon the cabinet,pushtheBat-Check button onceandsee if
aninstantRED-GLOW will beviewedin adark placein ordertoprove
the boosteris workingcorrectly.
Releasethe stopperfromaport onthelowerportion of unit and
plugthecableof the gooseneck IRsensor intotheIR-INport. This
masterunitwas setwith afactory default for the triggersourcefrom
IR sensor. TheotherIR-OUTportisreservedfor anotherIR slave
Boosterextension. See Fig. 1
Afterinstallation procedures,donotforget tocheckif thedoor is
closedcompletely andtheotherrest portisstill remainingcoveredby
astopperbeforeleft.

ConnectionforDifferenceDevices
1. Workwith a General IR Camera:
Sinceaboveinstallation isdone,nomoreadjustingwill berequired.Withthedefaultsetting (InternalJumper
issetfor MASTER,thesnapstandof gooseneck IRsensor must berequiredsnappingon the camera case and
the IR sensor head alwaysfaceandbevery closedtotheIRlightsourceof camera.It will alwayswork with
your generalIR scoutingcamera or CCTVsystem synchronouslyatnight time.
2. Workwith a WildSpy IR Camera orany Device
equipped withanoutputfor IR triggering
If youareusingany WildSpyCamNightVisionmodels, or in
some cases,youmight already have adeviceequippedwithan
output for triggeringother IR booster.Thisboostercan beable
toconnecttothe triggersourcedirectly with an attachedcable.
You can use the extension cable toconnect the booster and the
end is pluggedtothe IR-OUT port of theIR device. You have
toreferthe instruction manual ofyourIR device to surethe
TRIGGERsourcepin for the cable plugcentertobePOSITIVE.
Also, the input level from the sourceisbetween3~6V. If the
connectioniscorrect,boosterwill workwith yourIRdevice
synchronously. In thiscase,the gooseneckadaptor will not be
requiredfor installation. Beforeconnection,theboosterwill be
requiredtochangethe triggersourceforthe SLAVE/ CABLE
firstly.You haveto open theinnerpanel byloosing3screws

andwill seetheOptionJumperinsidethepanel. See Fig.2 .Then resumetheinnerpanel andproceedthe
properconnectionwith the attachedcable. One plugisinserted to theIR-INport on boosterandtheotherplug
isinsertedintothe IR-EXTport oncamera or otherdevice.
3. WorkwithMoreIR Extenders
In caseyou expecttohavemuch illuminationin ordertogetextreme best qualityimagesor videos,you can
connect achainof boostersupto4sets as in-needed.For the Masterbooster(the 1st booster),thereisno
needtochangethedefaultsettingexcept you areusing a direct connection asaboveitem 2. For other slave
extenders, allofthem arerequiredto setupfor SLAVE. Open theinnerpanelbyloosing3screws andchange
the jumper for the triggersourceto SLAVE/CABLE (Pins2-3). See Fig.2 .Then usetheattachedcabletoplug
one endtotheIR-INport on the slaveandotherendtotheIR-OUToftheMaster. In a chain connection,the
previousunit iscalledMasterandthe next iscalledas Slave.
Self-TestbeforeWorking
Place abooster or moreandcamerawithtransmitter in your targetspot. SetthePWSwitchon theBooster toTESTmodeand open the
transmitter cover firstly, then presstheTESTbutton on thetransmitter Fig.6.You willsee boththe TRANSMIT Indicator on transmitter and
theSelf (Distant)-TestLight on booster willbeON atthesame time.If Self-TESTindicatorononeof booster isOFForalways blinking, it
meansthis booster maybesettoofarawayfromthetransmitter andrecommended tomovebackto thecameraclosely. If thereisno any
responseeven theyarealreadynearby, youhaveto checkthePowerSW isslidetoTEST andBatteryinstallation aswellasthecode setting.
Also, youmustbesuretheWORKGROUP switch on bothtransmitter and booster with theexactlysame setting.

Mounting
Sinceaboveinstallation isdone,nomoreadjustingwill be
required. You can mount it onatreewith theattachedbelt as
the installationmethodshownas the right.Andthen adjusta
desiredanglealongwith thescoutingcamera lensdirection.
Power Status/BatteryReplacement
The average battery life will bedependon some factors such as a goodquality battery; usage times of the
booster workingfor cameraunder video or picturemodeatnightas well as if thesystemisworking inacold
climate. But anywaysit will stay inthefieldtowork for afewmonthswithoutproblem. Ifyounotice all RED
IR Light donot light up andtheBAT-LOW LED whichonthelowercenterofthewindow alsoisOFF whileyou
push the Bat-Lowbutton,thatmeansthestatusof batteryisat lowcondition.You can considertoreplacea
newset of batterysoonest.Inacold season, it isalwaysrecommendedto fill in with newbatteriesatthe
beginningof trail game.

TroubleShooting
1. ThereisnoRed Glow viewed whenpushingtheBat-Checkbutton: Needtocheckthepolarityof
battery tobeput in correctly.Thencheck eitheronebattery mightbevery poor or dead
2. Seemsnottoo muchhelp eventhisbooster isused: Investigate ifacurrent angle mightnotthe
same as thecameralens.Youhavetotestin differenceangle for the best result.Of courseyou needto
provethebatteriesarenotpoor beforeyou trytodofurthertesting.
3. Icould see REDGlow from myIRcameraatnight, butthebooster did notwork: At the first,
press theBAT-CHECK toproveyourboosterisworkingfine.Then,check the IR sensor if it isplugged
intothe IR-INport.Ifit was evertheslaveboosterbefore,youneedtocheck if the triggersource
optionisresumedtothedefaultfor Sensor mode.
4. Iboughttwosameboostersand bothdid notworkproperly: Besurethe1st boostermust be
remain thedefault withIR Sensor sourcesetting,the secondboosterwill bechangedfor Cablesetting.
5. I noticed someof Slavewill bealwaysswitched ONevencameradid notwork: Doublecheck
for thetriggersourceoption,improperconnection inachain will causesuchproblem.
