The water resistance of a watch cannot permanently be guaranteed. It may be affected by ageing of gaskets or by
accidental shock to the crown. The water resistance level of your William L. 1985 watch is indicated on its caseback:

Watches water resistant to 30 meters /100 feet.
2. [5atm / 50m / 165ft] [10atm / 100m / 330ft] [20atm / 200m / 660ft]
Watches water resistant to 50, 100 or 200 meters /165, 330 or 660 feet.
3. [10atm / 100m / 330ft] [20atm / 200m / 660ft] [30atm / 300m / 1000ft]
Watches water resistant from 100 to 300 meters / 330 to 1000 feet or more with screw down crown and
diving bezel.
According to the water resistance 1, 2 or 3 listed above, watches are protected against:
1-2-3 Water splashes / Rain
2-3 Shower & Bath with no direct stream / Shallow water activities
3 Water sports / Scuba diving of the surface
Also, never activate the time-setting crown and/or the pushers while the watch is under water and make sure that
the crown has been pushed/screwed down tightly after every operation.
And, do not under any circumstances open the watch yourself; arrange to get it inspected by an authorized William
L. 1985 Service Center only.
LIMITED WARRANTY!
Your William L. 1985 watch is warranted by William L. 1985 for a period of sixty (60) months from the date of
purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty. !
The international William L. 1985 warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. The warranty only comes into
force if the warranty certificate is dated, fully and correctly completed, and the watch has been registered on our
After-Sales Service Center during the warranty period.
In the event that repairs are improper to restore the normal conditions of use of your William L. 1985 watch, William
L. 1985 guarantees its replacement by a William L. 1985 watch of identical or similar characteristics. The warranty for
the replacement watch is twenty-four (24) MONTHS after the date of purchase of the replaced watch.
This manufacturer’s warranty does not cover:
1. Wear and tear and aging (e.g. scratched crystal; alteration of the color and/or material of non-metallic
straps and chains, such as leather, textile, rubber; peeling of the plating).
2. Any damage on any part of the watch resulting from abnormal/abusive use, lack of care, negligence,
accidents (knocks dents, crushing, broken crystal, etc.).
