Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury we urge that our clients
take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation instruc-
tions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
General safety instructions for electrical devices
Warning! Read carefully all safety and general instructions in this manual. Failure to do so can result in
electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Keep the instructions in a safe place so that you can always refer
to them.
Safety in the work area
•Always keep your work area tidy and well lit. Poorly lit or untidy areas increase the risk of
injury.
•Do not use electrical devices in potentially explosive areas, e.g., next to flammable liq-
uids, gases or dust. Electrical devices can cause sparks that can ignite these substances.
•Keep children and bystanders away from your work area while operating an electrical
device. Distractions can cause the loss of control over your device.
Electrical safety
•Never make any changes to the power supply. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed
power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
•Avoid physical contact with earthed surfaces, such as pipes, refrigerators, stoves and
heaters. The risk of electric shock is increased if the body is earthed.
•Do not expose the device to rain or dampness. Water penetration may increase the risk of
electric shock.
•Handle the power cord with care. Never carry, pull, or disconnect the device by the cord.
Keep it away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or tangled power cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
•If you want to use the electrical device outdoors, use a special extension cord for outdoor
use. Using such a power cord reduces the risk of electric shock.
•If operating the device in a humid environment, use a protected power supply with a
residual current circuit breaker. Using a residual current circuit breaker reduces the risk of
electric shock.
Personal safety
•Stay alert. Pay attention to what you are doing and always use the impact driver respon-
sibly and carefully. Do not operate it when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol,
drugs, or medication. Carelessness during use can lead to injuries.
•Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothes or jewellery. Tie long hair together. Keep
hair, clothes and gloves away from moving parts. They can increase the risk of injury as
they can get caught in the moving parts.
•Avoid accidental switching on. Make sure that the device switch is in the off position
before connecting the device to the mains. Do not carry the electrical device with your finger
placed on the trigger; do not connect it to the mains when the switch is on.
•Do not lean forward too much. Make sure you stand firmly and keep your balance. A
secure stand and balance enable better control of the impact driver in unexpected situations.
•Use safety equipment. Wear safety glasses, a respirator, work gloves, and non-slip safety
shoes during work.

•If devices are available for the connection of de-dusting and dust extraction systems,
make sure that they are connected and operate properly. The use of a dust collector can
reduce the dangers related to dust.
Safety of use and care of an electrical device
•Do not use force for its operation. Always use the correct attachment for your device.
The appropriate attachment works more effectively and safely at the rate that it was designed
for.
•Do not use the electrical device if the switch is out of order. The electrical device that
cannot be operated by the switch is dangerous and must be repaired immediately.
•Disconnect the power plug from the mains before making any changes, changing acces-
sories or before storing the device. These precautions reduce the risk of accidental starting.
•Store the device out of the reach of children when not in use. Do not allow it to be oper-
ated by persons who are not familiar with its use or this manual. It can be dangerous in
the hands of inexperienced users.
•Service the electrical device regularly. Check it for incorrect assembly or blocking of the
moving parts, for defects, damage and any other conditions that could restrict the func-
tioning of the device. If the device is damaged, have it repaired before use. As a general
rule, the cause of accidents in most cases is poor maintenance.
•Use the electrical device and its accessories according to these instructions, the working
conditions and the work to be carried out. Improper use can lead to dangerous situations.
Safety of maintenance
Have your power tool serviced by qualified staff with original spare parts only. This ensures the
safety of the electric device.
Safety instructions for impact drivers
•Hold the electric device only on insulated surfaces during the operation when the cutting
tool may touch hidden cables or your own cable. Contact with a live cable can result in
exposed metal parts of the power tool being under voltage, thus causing an electric shock to
the user.
•Use the additional handle(s) included in the delivery. Loss of control can lead to serious
injuries.
•Hold the device with a firm grip. An increased reaction torque can occur when driving in and
loosening screws.
•Secure the work piece. The work piece which has been secured with clamps or a vice has a
more secure hold than if held by hand.
•Wait until the device has come to a complete standstill before putting it down. A tool insert
can jam and thus lead to loss of control over the tool.
•Never use a device with a damaged power cord. Do not touch the damaged cable or pull the
power plug if the cable is damaged during operation. Damaged cables increase a risk of electric
shock.

Operation
Direction switch
You can change between clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation by pressing the direction switch.
Notes:
•The direction change may be carried out at a standstill only!
•Clockwise, the maximum torque is limited to 100 Nm.
Turning on/off
Caution! Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds to the nominal voltage specified on the type
plate.
Use
•Press the on/off switch. The device runs at maximum speed. To switch it off, release the on/off
button.
•The tightening torque depends on the selected speed and the impact period. Use the electric
impact driver when tightening screws and nuts only for pre-assembly. The desired reference
torque of the screw or nut must be achieved with a torque wrench that is set to the reference
torque, not with the electric impact driver.
•The actual tightening torque must always be checked with a torque wrench!
•Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for tightening screws or nuts and the manufac-
turer’s guidelines for timely and performance-based testing.
•After a tyre change, regularly check the tyre bolts or nuts. This inspection must be carried out
after 50 to 100 km with a torque wrench.

time period.
Cleaning
Do not spray the device with water and do not immerse it in water. Danger of electric
shock!
Keep the ventilation slots, the motor housing and the handles clean. Use a damp cloth or brush. Clean-
ing agents or solvents can cause irreparable damage.
