I. Overview
HTWS-V Dew Point Meter is researched and designed by using imported
high-precision dew point sensor and the latest digital circuit control technology,
which is the intelligent precision instrument to measure the moisture content of
the SF6 gas
The instrument uses intelligent self-calibration technology, wide
measuring range, fast response, high accuracy, good linearity, dynamic display
measurement curve. While the instrument with automatic dryer, can greatly
shorten the measuring time.
II. Application
The device is suitable for the dew point value of SF6 gas measurement,
can also measure the dew point value of air, nitrogen, the inert gas and any
non-corrosive gases, especially used for the electric power, petrochemical,
metallurgy, environmental protection, scientific research institutes and other
departments, with high cost performance.
III. Products features
1. High stability: Under severe interference conditions, the measurement
data can be stabilized within ± 0.5 ℃, with excellent long-term stability, good
repeatability.
2. High precision: Adopts imported with original packaging
high-performance dew point sensor and high-speed 12 Σ-ΔAD
analog-to-digital converter (ADC), the highest resolution reaches 0.1 ℃, fully
meet the requirements of the actual measurement. The measurement results
are accurate and reliable within full range. Wide measuring range, fast

7
response, stable and reliable.
3. Intellectualized: Boot self-calibration, the sensor probe can be
automatically calibrated zero, automatically eliminate systematic errors
introduced by zero drift, to ensure the accuracy of measurement.
4. Multiple protections: With oil filters, not affected by dust particles and
most of chemical contamination, to protect sensor resistance to oil, very
suitable for use in industrial environments. Dryer can effectively protect the
dew point sensor probe, prolong the service life of the sensor.
5. Rapid to save gas: after boot into measurement, the measurement time
of dew point is 3 ~ 5min. First use need to dry pipelines and sensors, slightly
longer time.
6. Powerful function: 4.7 inch colors touching LCD display. Direct display
dew point value (℃), micro-water value (uL / L), date and time, dynamic
display dew point measuring curve. Real-time save measurement data, can
store up to 100 sets of measurement data.
7. Communication: RS232 interface can be connected to PC serial port,
convenient for further process data.
8. Easy to use: Adopts imported self-locking connectors, easy to plug in or
draw out, safe and reliable, no leakage. Touching buttons easy to operate and
improve work efficiency. Built-in rechargeable lithium battery, small in size, light
in weight, easy to carry.

VI. Operating principle
When measured gas into the sensor sampling chamber, the trace
moisture in the gas is adsorbed to the sensor, the sensor converts the change
into electrical signal, to be processed by the microprocessor, and finally display
on the LCD screen.
The device is composed of the gas path section, the sensor section, the
signal processing section and the liquid crystal display output section.

VII. Operational approach
1. LCD display description
The instrument adopts the 4.7-inch high-resolution color touch LCD
display; it can also be clearly displayed even in strong sunlight. Click on touch
screen button to complete the parameter setting, data storage and other
operations, the test results are displayed on the LCD screen. Graphics clear,
beautiful, easy to operate.

Figure 4 correct wiring
Note: ①according to Figure 4 correct wiring, do not connect inlet pipe and
outlet pipe wrong; ②with the wrench to tighten nut joints of inlet pipe and SF6
device; ③the other end of outlet pipe should be pointing downwind, or use
specialized equipment to collect waste gas.
3. Initialization
Turn on the power switch, the instrument into the initial interface, as
shown in Figure 5. In this process, the instrument will be self-calibrating
according to the state of sensors, at this time "status indicator" light flashes.
Self-calibration is completed, the "status indicator" light normally on.

12
4. Check power
Initialization is completed, please check displayed battery power on the
bottom right corner of the LCD screen, as shown in Figure 6. If the power is
less than 20%, please continue to use after plug in charger. This instrument
can be used during charging.
Figure 6 check power
5. Main interface
After boot 3 seconds the instrument automatically enters the micro-water
main interface, as shown in Figure 7.
Figure 7 main interface
The left of main interface are touch keys, including "Calibration", "Save",
"Read", "Communication", and "Temperature", the user can select different
keys as needed; the main interface on the top real-time display dew point
value and volume ratio of SF6 gas ; the middle part dynamic display dew point
measurement curve; below with clock, battery power display.
6. Start to measure
After enter the main interface, the instrument automatically starts to
measure, adjust "flow adjustment" knob, the flow indication at the 0.6L/min or
so. The instrument real-time displays measurement curve, as shown in Figure

13
7. Observe "status indicator" light, when the "status indicator" light flashes,
indicate that the instrument is self-calibrating, when "status indicator" light from
flashing to normally on state, indicating the instrument self-calibration is
completed, can read value at this time.
The instrument can simultaneously display dew point value, volume ratio
and measuring curve during the measurement, the main interface on the top,
the first data is "dew point value", the unit is ℃; the second data is "volume
ratio", the unit is uL / L , meaning the same as ppmV.
Note: The first time boot, the time of the sensor self-calibration is slightly
longer, usually 8 ~ 10min, if continuous measurement, do not turn off midway.
After entering the measuring mode, the measuring time of dew point value is 3
~ 5min.
Description: ①If "status indicator" light is normally on state, and the
dynamic measuring curve on the screen was completely become a straight line,
indicating that the data was stable, can read the data;
②During the measurement, do not press any keys, to complete the
measurement as soon as possible, save gas, save the measuring time;
③a sample measurement is completed, continue to measure next
sample, during this process do not have to turn off the power supply, directly
switch to the detected gas;
④general gas can be directly discharged into the atmosphere, for the
toxic, flammable and explosive gas and precious gas should be properly
handled;
