Thisequipment isthoroughlyinspectedprior toshipping.Onceyou receive it,visually checkthe
appearanceof the equipmentto ensurethatithas not beendamaged.In addition,check thatthe
model name displayed on theequipment’s nameplateisas orderedbyreferring tothe “List of
model names and codes” and“Specifications for options” tablesincludedinSection 3.3.

2.1. TransportationPrecautions
To protect the equipment from damage that may arise due to a transportation accident, it should
betransportedtotheinstallationsiteinitsoriginalstateof shipmentas far as possible.
2.2. Storage Precautions
2.2.1.Selecta storage location meeting the following conditions:
(1) Thereis noexposureto rainor water.
(2) Thereis minimalvibrationor shock
(3) Thetemperatureand humidityshouldbeas closeas possibleto a normal temperature and
humidity(approximately+25°Cand 65% RH)
(4) Temperature: −40°C to +60°CHumidity: 5% to 95% RH (at +40°C)
(5) Whenstoring this equipment,keep itinits originalpacking state as far as possible

2.3. Precautions forInstallation Location
Thiscameraisdesignedtowithstandsevereenvironmentalconditions.
However, care should be taken for the followings to ensure long term stability of camera:
2.3.1.Ambient temperature
Avoidinstallingthe cameraina locationwithseveretemperaturegradientor significant temperature
fluctuation.If the camera is exposed to radiant heat, provide heat insulation or improve ventilation.
2.3.2.Atmosphericconditions
Avoidinstalling the cameraina corrosive atmosphere. If itis usedina corrosive atmosphere, ensure
thatitis wellventilated.
2.3.3. Shockand vibration
Thiscamerais alsodesignedto withstandshockandvibration. However,itshouldbeinstalled ina
locationwithminimal shockand vibration.
2.3.4. Natural disasters
Takemeasures for natural disasters including earthquakes,windand flood damages, and lightning
strikes.This cameracontainsabuilt-in arrester; howeverbecauseitonlyconstitutes theminimum
configuration,itisrecommended that an additionallightning protector such as an arrester be
provided.
2.4. Precautions on pressure resistance and
explosionprevention
Theexplosion-prooftypeFC33Ehas beenproducedsothatitcanbeusedinahazardous
atmospherewhere explosivegaseslistedinthe“Factory ElectricFacilityExplosion Prevention
Guidance” occurs.
To retainsafety,sufficient attentionshouldbepaidto installation,wiring, etc.withregard to a
pressure-resistantand explosion-proof device. In addition,restrictionsare imposed onmaintenance
andrepair thereof for safety.Be suretoread“Attachment A: Precautions on Pressure-Resistantand
Explosion-Proof TypeDevices” describedat theend of this manual.

Overview
FC33E(Explosion-Proof) / FC33U(Outdoor)Pan TiltZoomtypeColorCamera issmalland
lightweight,and allowsfor installation ina smallspace. A web camera server function for
connecting to IP network isbeing installedinside. It hasan intelligent panning-tilting
movementand canstore preset points. Itis alsoavailablefor wide-range applications, such as
surveillance, monitoring andinstallation diagnosis and so on, withits excellent
environmentalresistance.
3.1 MainFeatures
Environmentalresistanceand downsizing
Theproductweighthas beensignificantlyreducedby(1) increasing thepackaging densityof the
exterior andinternalstainlessstructuresof SUS316Lthat aresuperior,instrengthand corrosion
resistance,to the conventional models andthus decreasingthegrossvolume(ratioto the
conventional companyproducts: approximately 2/3),and(2) reducing the thickness through use
of stainlesscasting for the exterior.
Inaddition,highcorrosionresistancehas beenimplementedbyusing electrolytic grinding for
+ surface treatment.
⚫Highsensitivityand highmagnification
Thesensitivityof thiscameraisso highthat itcanshootobjects withoutitsdedicatedlighting even
inalocationwhereconventionalmodelscouldnot shootthem.
The zoom magnificationhas alsobeenincreasedbya factorof 30for optical zooming and12for
electronic zooming,therebyshooting more remote,smaller objects clearly.
⚫Control systems and VMS
If the CCTV system including the FC33 consists of numbers of IP cameras, introducing a VMS
(Video Management System/Software) is recommended.
