1.0 GE ERAL DESCRIPTIO
The Z3Cam-DX™ by Z3 Technology is a Dual Spec rum Camera. The Z3Cam-DX offers a dis inc ive
combina ion of 4K Visible Video and Thermal imaging providing de ailed si ua ional awareness. The Z3Cam-
DX combines video compression exper ise from Z3 Technology wi h Sony’s worldwide leading 4K camera
echnology and DRS Tamarisk’s renown hermal imaging. Independen ly and remo ely con rol bo h he 4K
and hermal camera while recording and simul aneously moni oring he s reams in dual or Pic ure-in-
Pic ure mode. The Z3Cam-DX has 30x zoom using Sony’s pa en ed Super Resolu ion Zoom, and high
con ras hermal imaging. The innova ive Z3Cam-DX has mul iple op ions for your IP ransmission including
MPEG-2 TS (UDP), RTP, RTSP, RTMP* and TSRTP. The sys em can ou pu bo h H.265/HEVC and H.264 video
over IP in 4K resolu ions. I is also capable of producing a secondary s ream wi h a smaller resolu ion or
differen codec. Camera con rol can ake place remo ely wi h a Web based configura ion in erface, ONVIF

Profile S and wi h VISCA con rol commands sen over IP o he Z3Cam-DX. The Z3Cam-DX leverages a Sony
FCB-ER8530 block camera and a DRS Tamarisk camera.
The Z3Cam-DX brings clari y and de ail o high movemen and low ligh condi ions wi h op imized 4K
echnology. This uni cap ures s unning video wi h 30x zoom wi h in egra ed au o focus. The Z3Cam-DX
provides crys al clear images for broadcas , indus rial, medical, securi y and corpora e applica ions while
adding he abili y o broadcas and analyze your video around he world.

The Z3Cam-DX suppor s simul aneous ou pu of up o hree s reams encoded a differen resolu ions,
frame ra es and bi ra es. Suppor ed s ream resolu ions are:
2160p (8MP), 1440p (4MP), 1080p (2MP), 1280x1024, 720p (1MP), 480p, 576p, 1024x576, 704x576,
640x480, 640x360, 420x380, 352x576, 352x288, 352x240, 320x240, and 320x180
In addi ion o scaling he resolu ion, he camera is also capable of scaling down he frame ra e o save
bandwid h. Each channel can selec from full frame ra e, half frame ra e or a quar er frame ra e. For
example, i is possible o configure a primary s ream of 3840x2160 a 30 fps simul aneously wi h a
secondary s ream a 1280x720 a 7.5 fps.
The maximum performance for wo channels is one 2160p30 plus one 1080p30 s ream wi h Version 2
hardware or one 720p30 s ream wi h Version 1 hardware.
