INTENDED USE
The 3M™ Camcorder Projector CP45 is designed to operate in a normal ofce
and home environment.
• 5°C ~ 35°C (41°F ~ 95°F)
• 10 ~ 80% RH (without condensation)
• 0 ~ 1829 m (0 ~ 6000 feet) above sea level
The ambient operating environment should be free of airborne smoke, grease,
oil and other contaminants that can affect the operation or performance of the
Camcorder Projector. Use of this product in adverse conditions will void the
product warranty.

Projector leaks liquid and the battery electrolyte gets in the eyes.

Usage Notice:
Do:
• Turn off the power switch and unplug the power adapter before cleaning the
Camcorder Projector.
• Use a soft dry cloth with mild detergent to clean the display housing.
• Unplug the power adapter if the Camcorder Projector will not be used for a
long period of time.
• Operate the Camcorder Projector when the ambient room temperature is
within 5 ~ 35°C.
• Operate the Camcorder Projector when the Relative Humidity is 5°C ~ 35°C
(41°F ~ 95°F)

1Connect one end of the supplied AC adapter to the USB
port of the Camcorder Projector and the other end to a
wall outlet.
OR
Connect one end of the supplied USB cable to the USB
port of the Camcorder Projector and the other end to
a powered PC. Note: The Camcorder Projector power
switch must be Off to charge the battery.
2The Power LED turns orange and the charging starts.
3When the Power LED turns green, the battery is fully charged.

1Power on the Camcorder Projector.
2Press the Menu button ( ), and then press the Left/Right ( / ) arrows to
navigate to Setting Screen ( ).
3Press the Up/Down ( / ) arrows to navigate to the Language item, and then
Press the OK button to conrm.
4Use the Up/Down ( / ) arrows to select a language.
5Press the OK button to conrm the setting.
Set Language
Power ON - Slide power switch to the “ON” position.
Power OFF - Slide power switch to the “OFF” position.
Inserting a Memory Card (optional)
1Open the Micro SD card cover.
2Gently insert the card as indicated (contacts facing
upward) until the card reaches the end of the slot.
3When the card is fully inserted, the icon ( ) will
appear on screen.
Note: The Micro SD card is spring loaded. To remove
the card, gently push inward to release the card and
then slide it outward to remove it from the Camcorder
Projector.
4Replace the Micro SD card cover.
5CP45 can only recognize one drive at a time when connecting to PC. If you like
the PC to recognize internal memory drive, you will have to remove microSD card
from device.

1Power on the Camcorder Projector.
2Press the Menu button ( ), and then press the Left/Right ( / ) arrows to
navigate to Setting Screen ( ).
3Press the Up/Down ( / ) arrows to navigate to the Sensitivity Calibration
item.
4Press the OK button to enable the calibration process.
5The screen will show “Calibration Start”. Do not touch the Camcorder Projector
during the calibration process.
6The screen will show “OK” after calibration is complete. Touch any key to close
the message.
Sensitivity Calibration
1Press the Menu button ( ), and then press the Left/Right ( / ) arrows to
navigate to Setting Screen ( ).
2Press the Up/Down ( / ) arrows to navigate to the Keypad Sensitivity item,
and then press the OK button to conrm.
3Use the Up/Down ( / ) arrows to adjust the Keypad Sensitivity to desire
setting from -2, -1, 0, +1 and +2 selections.
4Press the OK button to enable the adjustment process.

Basic Operations
Recording a Video Clip
1Press the Up/Down ( / ) arrows to zoom in or zoom out.
2Press the Record ( ) button to start recording. The Record ( ) button will
turn red in recording mode, and the video recording timer will start rolling.
3Press the Record ( ) button again to stop recording. The Record ( )
button will turn white to indicate is in standby mode.
4While in recording mode, press the OK ( ) button to pause recording. Press
the ( ) button again to resume recording.
1Press the Up/Down ( / ) arrows to zoom in or zoom out.
2Press the Camera ( ) button to take a picture.
Taking a Still Picture
The power saving feature will automatically stop the video recording after 25 minutes. If
you want to continue recording, press the “Record” button again.
To improve image quality in low light conditions, press the Right arrow to turn on the LED
ash light. Press again to turn off the LED ash light.

Projecting Pictures/Videos
1Press the OK ( ) button or the Left ( ) arrow.
2Press the Up/Down arrows to select target folder.
3 When selecting one le, press the OK button to play it.
4Press the Projection button ( ) to project. ( will turn blue when in
projection mode)
• There are two ways to view the les. Please refer to Figure 1 for steps to view the les.

5To exit from projection mode, simply press on the Projection button ( ). The
( ) will turn to white when in standby mode.

• Playing Video
1Press the Left/Right arrows to move to the previous/next le.
Press and hold the Left/Right arrows button to rewind and fast forward.
2Use the Up/Down arrows to control volume.
3Press the OK button to pause the video (press OK again to resume). The
following status information will display.

Zoom in/out Press the Up/Down arrows.
Lock/Release zoom ratio
Press the OK button after the picture is zoomed in. The icon on
screen will toggle between ( ) to ( ). The picture is locked for
panning when in ( ).
Pan the enlarged picture When the zoom ratio is locked, use the four-way arrow to pan
the picture.

Composite AV Cable
This Camcorder Projector connects to most DVD players, SAT-Receivers, Portable Media Players
and Game consoles with the Camcorder Projector AV cable (supplied) and the composite AV cable
that came with the media device.
1Connect the composite AV-out cable to the media player.
2Connect the Camcorder Projector cable to the AV jack on the Camcorder
Projector.
3Connect the Camcorder Projector AV cable to the composite AV cable from the
media device (yellow to yellow, white to white and red to red).
Connecting Camcorder Projector to Media Devices
White may be black on some media players or cables.
Please make sure that your media player is enabled with AV-out function.

HDMI Cable
This Camcorder Projector connects to most HD Digital TV’s with an optional (not
included) HDMI cable.
1Turn on your HDTV.
2Connect the HDMI-in connector (the bigger end) of the HDMI cable to the HDTV.
3Turn on the Camcorder Projector.
4Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI Out jack on your
Camcorder Projector.
5Switch the HDTV to “HDMI input” mode.

• Navigating the Menu

button to enter the sub-menu.
3Press the Up/Down arrows to select an option, then press the OK button to
conrm. Or, press the Return button ( ) to go back the previous screen.

the device will enter sleep mode (LCD off) after
being idle for 3 minutes and auto shutdown after
being idle for 20 minutes.

microSD). Note that all les stored in the selected

settings will be overridden.

Firmware Version - Show the current rmware version.
Note: Store the rmware le in a formatted microSD card and insert the card in the
device. Select “Yes” for rmware upgrade option. The device will automatically turn off
after the rmware upgrade is completed.
Note: When giving a presentation using PowerPoint/PDF documents, please save the
PPT/PDF le into .jpeg format.
Note: To delete or protect multiple les, long press the OK to select the les. The
selected les will be indicated with a tick sign ( ). Then press on the Menu button ( )
to delete, protect ( ) or unprotect ( ) the les.
