Placement
● This device may interfere with radio and

● Noise may be produced if wireless

unit. Such noise could occur when receiving
orinitiatingacall,orwhileconversing.Should
you experience such problems, you should

greaterdistancefromthisunit,orswitchthem
off.
●Donotexposetheunittodirectsunlight,place
itneardevicesthatradiateheat,leaveitinside

● When moved from one location to another
wherethetemperatureand/orhumidityisvery
different, water droplets (condensation) may

rubberfeet topreventthisfromhappening.If
youdoso,pleasemakesurethattheunitwill
notslipormoveaccidentally.
● Do not put anything that contains water on
this unit.Also, avoid the use of insecticides,
perfumes,alcohol,andnailpolish,spraycans,
etc.,neartheunit.Swiftlywipeawayanyliquid
that spills on the unit using a dry, soft cloth.

Power Supply
● Do not connect this unit to same electrical
outlet that is being used by an electrical
appliance that is controlled by an inverter
or a motor (such as a refrigerator, washing
machine,microwaveoven,orairconditioner).
Depending on the way in which the electrical
appliance is used, power supply noise may
causethisunittomalfunctionormayproduce
audible noise. If it is not practical to use a
separate electrical outlet, connect a power
supply noise filter between this unit and the
electricaloutlet.
● Topreventmalfunctionandequipmentfailure,
always make sure to turn off the power on
all your equipment before you make any
connections.
● AlthoughtheLCDandLEDsareswitchedoff
whentheunitisturnedoff,thisdoesnotmean
thattheunithasbeencompletelydisconnected
fromthesourceofpower.Ifyouneed toturn
offthepowercompletely,firstturnofftheunit’s
switch, then unplug the power cord from the
power outlet. For this reason, the outlet into
whichyouchoosetoconnectthepowercord’s
plug should be one that is within easy reach
andreadilyaccessible.

CongratulationsonpurchasingyourPan/Tilt/ZoomCamera,theMK20HDPlus,byAsystems!
Introducing theAsystems MK20HD Plus & MK20W, all new PTZ remote cameras. Equipped with a
1/2.8”HD2.4 Megapixel CMOSimagesensor and awidefocal ratio of1.6to 2.8coupledwith30x
opticalzoom,theMK20HDisAsystems’answertothegrowingdemandoffullHDPTZcameras.The
MK20Wgoesfurthertoincludea0.39xmagnifyingwide-anglelens.
TheMK20HD PlusandMK20Wbothutilizeaquietdirect-drivepan/tiltmechanism,allowingthemto
naturallyblendinwiththeenvironmentandcapturedesiredimageswithoutinterferewiththeongoing
program. Plus the compact size and light weight body make MK20HD Plus and MK20W ideal for
numerousapplicationssuchasauditoriums,concerts,studios,realityshows,andeducationalfacilities.
Before operating and exploring the capabilities of the MK20HD Plus and MK20W, it is highly
recommended that you carefully read through Precautions for Installation and Safety Instructions

PRECAUTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
To Installation Personnel
Readthe“InstallationInstructions”thoroughlyandthenperformtheoperationcorrectlyandsafely.
Also,alwaysreadthe“Readthisrst!”ofthismanualastheycontainimportantinformation.
Afterinstallation,givethe“Owner’sManual”tothecustomerforfutureuse.
Ensure that the installation work complies
with the technical standards governing
electrical equipment.
This unit is for indoor use only.
Itcannotbeusedoutdoors.
Avoid installation in a location where the unit
willbeexposedtodirectsunlightforextended
periodsornearacoolingorheatingappliance.
Otherwise, deformation, discoloration,
malfunctioning and/or problems in operation
mayresult.Operatetheunitwhereitwillnotbe
splashedorsprayedbywater.
Use the unit with an installation where the
unit is suspended from an overhead surface
or with a stand‑alone installation.
Do not use the unit on its side or tilted at an
angle.
Concerning the installation location
Installtheunitinastablelocationwhichwillnot
besusceptibletoshaking.Iftheunitisinstalled
in a location which is susceptible to shaking,
this will cause the unit’s images to shake in
turn.
Install the unit after conferring in detail with
yourdealer.
Installtheunitonaceilingthatisstrongenough
(suchasaconcreteceiling).
Ifthe unitistobeinstalledonaceilingwhich
is not strong enough, reinforce the ceiling
sufficientlyfirst.
Do not install or use the unit in the following
kinds of locations.
●Onwallsorwheretheunitwouldbeinstalled
sideways.
●Inlocations(includingplacessuchasunder
theeavesofabuilding)wheretheunitwould
bedirectlyexposedtorainorwater.
●Inlocationssuchaskitchenswherethereare
highconcentrationsofsteamandgrease.
●In outdoor locations or hot places where the
temperaturewillexceed50°C(122°F).
●In cold locations where the temperature will
dropbelow0°C(32°F).
●Locationswherethehumiditywillexceed85%.
●Inlocationswherechemicalsareused.
●Atsea,incoastalareasorinlocationswhere
corrosivegasesareemitted.
●Inlocationswhereradiation,X-rays,orstrong
radiowavesormagneticfieldsaregenerated.
●Locationswherethe unitwouldbe subjectto
a great deal of vibration such as on board a
vehicleorship.
●Inlocationswherethetemperatureissubject
tosuddenchangessuchasneartheairoutlet
of an air conditioner or near a door which
allowstheoutsideairtocomein.
What to avoid to ensure that the unit will
perform stably over a prolonged period
●Using the unit for a prolonged period in a
location with high temperature and humidity
levels will cause its parts to deteriorate and
shortenitsservicelife.
●Ensurethata coolingunitorheating unitwill
notblowanyairdirectlytowardtheinstallation
location.Be absolutely sure to use the
supplied brackets and screws to install the
camera
●Do not mount the unit by employing any
methodsotherthanthosespecified.
●Do not remodel the mounting bracket or
mountingscrewsprovidedwiththeunit.
When the unit is no longer going to be used,
do not leave it lying around, but be absolutely
sure to dispose of it properly.
When installing, transferring or disposing of
the unit, be absolutely sure to hold it by its
pedestal area.

Do not attach a filter, hood, extender or
other parts to the unit.
Use the dedicated AC adaptor and power
cable provided with the unit.
ConnecttheACadaptorandpowercabletothe
powerinletsecurely.
Installing the AC adaptor
●Do not place the adaptor directly onto a
ceilingpanelorothersuchsurface.Extreme
danger is posed when water has collected
on the surface as a result of leaking rain,
for instance. Secure the adaptor firmly to
thebottomorothersurface ofareinforcing
membermadeofchannelsteel where dust
andotherforeignmatterwillnotaccumulate.
●Secure the adaptor firmly so that there
will be no chance that it will fall off or fall
down.Secureitusingastrengthwhichcan
withstandthemassoftheACadaptor.
Install the accessory AC adaptor near the
main power outlet, and position it in such a
way that its power plug can be plugged into
and unplugged from the outlet easily.
When connecting theAC adaptor to a power
outlet on the ceiling or on any other surface
where dust may collect, wipe off the dust on
thepowerplugatperiodicintervalsasananti-
trackingmeasure.
Power switch
This unit does not have a power switch.
The power turns on when its power plug is
connectedtoapoweroutlet.Whenthepower
is turned on, the pan, tilt, zoom and focusing
operations are performed. Before proceeding
with maintenance, be absolutely sure to
disconnect the power plug from the power
outlet.
Connecting the power cable
Be absolutely sure to connect the power cable
oftheACadaptorthroughacircuitbreakerusing
oneofthefollowingmethods.
(1) Connect the power cable through a power
controlunit.
(2)Connectthepowercabletoacircuitbreaker
in a power distribution panel with a contact
distanceof3.0mmormore.Useacircuitbreaker
which is capable of shutting off all the poles of
themainpowersupplywiththeexceptionofthe
protectivegroundconductor.
(3)InstalltheACadaptornearthepoweroutlet,
andconnectitthroughthepowerplug.
When connecting the cables, ensure that the
connector areas will not be subject to any
load.
Grounding
Beforeusingtheunit,check that the grounding
wirehasbeenfastenedsecurely.
Radio signal interference
If the unit is positioned near a TV or radio
transmitting antenna or a strong electrical or
magneticfield,itsimagesmaybedistortedand/
ortheimagesmaybeaffectedbynoise.
Doingsomaycausemalfunctioning.
Allowing the generated heat to escape
This unit allows the heat generated inside to
escapefromitssurfaces.
Donotinstall the unitina location whereitwill
be surrounded by walls or other surfaces and
whereheatwillbetrapped.Inaddition,theheat
isdissipatedtothebottompanelwhichwillwarm
upovertime:Thisisnormalandnotindicativeof
anytrouble.

CEILING MOUNT INSTALLATION
Theproceduregivenhereisforthekindofinstallationwheretheunitissuspendedfromanoverhead
surface,butthesamestepsarefollowedforanuprightstand-aloneinstallation.
●Before proceeding to install and connect the main unit, connect the video output cable,
interfacecable,ACadaptorcableandcoaxialcablesinthespaceabovetheceilingpanel,
andthenpassthecablesthroughthecableholes.
●Forapoweroutletwhichisusedontheceiling,beabsolutelysuretotakemeasurestodeal
withthetrackingthatmaybecausedbytheaccumulationofdustandotherforeignmatter.
1. Mount the mount bracket (B) onto the installation surface.
●Dependingonthecondition,differentmountingscrewscanbeusedtosecurethecamerain
place.Consultatechnicianontheproperscrewstouse.
●Forproperclampingtorque,securelyattachthescrewsusingthespecifiedtools.
●Donotuseanyotherscrewssuchaswoodscrews,nails,etc.
Iftheceilingpanelis not strong enough tobeartheunit’s weight, usethe
kindofmountbracketthatissupportedbyanchorboltsbetweentheconcrete
ceilingandceilingpanel.Theunitsupportstheceilingmountbracketwhich
isusedsolelyforcombinationcameras.Usethisbrackettoinstalltheunit.
Forinstallingtheceilingmountbracket,theceilingmustbedrilled.Itisalso
recommendedthatyouprovidean inspectionspaceoropeningfor access
purposes in the area near where the equipment is installed in order to
facilitateinstallationandthewiringconnectionswork.

2. Mount the bracket (A) to the MK20HD Plus and MK20W camera.
●UsethebracketmountingM4screwssuppliedwiththeunittoattachthebracket(A)totheVESAmount
onthebaseofcamera.
3. Attach the drop prevention wire.
●UsetheM3droppreventionwirescrewstoattachthewireinthemiddleofthebrackets.

4. Mount the unit.
●Thehooksonbracket(B)canbeinsertedtothecorrespondingholestobracket(A)toforma
hinge,onceinserted,turnthebracket(B)counterclockwisetolockitinplace.
5. Secure the mounting brackets in place.
●UsetheM3screwsontheexteriorofthebracketstosecuretheminplace.

TRIPOD MOUNT INSTALLATION
Forsetupsthatrequirethecameratobemountedonatripod,pleaseusethefollowinginstructionsto
properlymountthecamera.
● Beforeproceedingtoinstallandconnectthemainunit,makesurethetripodlegsaresteadily
andfirmlysetwithoutwobbles.
● Make sure thetripod always maintains a90 degree vertical centerof gravity.A top-heavy
object such as this is prone to tilt over and cause irreversible damage to the instrument,
therefore,90degreeverticalistheoptimalangleforcameramounting.
● Whenattemptingtosetthetripodonunevengroundorslopes,carefullyadjustthetripodlegs
topreventthecamerafortiltingover.
1. Assemble the tripod mount onto the VESA mount on the bottom of the camera with
provided M4 screws.
2. Mount the camera onto the tripod.
●Depending on the type of tripods you may be using,
you may need to screw the tripod mounting plate on
the camera then use locking mechanism to secure the
cameraonthe tripodoryou canjustsimply mountthe
camerawiththeconnectingscrew.

PRECAUTION FOR USE
●Handle carefully
Donotdroptheproduct,orsubjectittostrongshockorvibration
●Use the product in an ambient temperature of 32 °F to 122 °F (0 °C to 50 °C).
Avoidusingtheproductatacoldplacebelow32°F(0°C)oratahotplaceabove122°F(50°C).
Extremelytemperatureswilladverselyaffectthedelicatepartsoftheunit.Roomtemperatureof77°F
±5°(25°C±5°)isrecommendedoperationtemperature.
●Power off before connecting or disconnecting cables.
Besuretoswitchthepoweroffbeforepluggingorunpluggingthecables.
●Avoid humidity and dust.
Avoidusingtheproductatahumidordustyconditionbecausemuchhumidityanddustwillcause
damagetothepartsinsidetheunit.
●Maintenance
Cleantheproduct usingadry cloth.Toremovestubborn dirt,dipa clothintoa diluted solutionof
kitchendetergent,wringitoutwell,andwipetheproductgently.Afterwipingtheproductwithamoist
cloth,wipeitagainwithadrycloth.
Caution
●Avoidusingbenzene,paintthinnersandothervolatilefluids.
●Ifacleaningchemicalistobeused,carefullyreadthroughtheprecautionsforitsuse.
●Precaution to be observed during production
This product’s image switching and image effect functions can be used to produce images which
flickerrapidlyorimageswhichchangerapidly.
However,bearinmindwhenusingthesefunctionsinproductionthatthekindsofimagesproduced

HOW TO CONNECT THE UNIT

4. PoweronthecamerabyusingtheIRremoteoraPTZcameraremotecontroltobeginoperation.
Note:Thisunitdoesnothaveapowerswitch.Thepowerturnsonwhenitspowerplugisconnected
to a power outlet. When the power is turned on, the pan, tilt, zoom and focusing operations are
performed. Before proceeding with maintenance, be absolutely sure to disconnect the power plug
fromthepoweroutlet.

Installation
Firstandforemost,thePOE/LANconnectoronyourMK20HDPlusorMK20Wneedstobeconnected
toyourLANhub.AfterdownloadingtheIPCameraMatrixSetupManagerSoftwarearchivefromthe
Asystemswebsite,simplyextractthefilestoyourdesiredfolder.Installationisnotrequiredbutthe
softwareshouldbecopiedintoadedicateddirectory.Thesoftwarecanbelaunchedbydouble-clicking
theIPCameraMatrix.exeapplicationfile.
Operation
Whenstartingthesoftware,userswillbeaskedtoenteranaccountnameandpassword.Thedefault
valuesfortheseare“admin”and“admin.”Onceloggedin,gototheUsersubmenutochangethe
accountnameand/orenteranewpassword.
Controller Setup
Whensettingupyoursystem,yourfirststepshouldbetoscanforcontrollers.
1. Clickthe“1”intheControllerscolumntoopenthe“Scan”menu.
2.Bydefault,theScanfunctionwillsearchtheIPRangefrom192.168.1.1to254,butifyourLANuses
adifferentahostbit(specificallythethirdnumberintheIPaddress),besuretochangeaccordingly.
3. Click“Scan”tobeginscanningyourlocalareanetwork(LAN).Scanningthenetworkmaytakea
momentbutwillidentifyanyMK20RCPluscontrollerswithinyourLAN.
4. SelectyourMK20RCPlustoassignittoController1inthesoftware.Upto3controllerscanbe
setupwithinthesoftwareatanytime.
5. Youcanthenmoveontocamerasorfollowthestepsabovetoassignupto2morecontrollers.

Camera Setup
Bydefault,5camerafieldswillbedisplayedonscreenwithinthesoftware.Thiscanbeexpandedby
clickingthetriangletotheleftoftheCameracolumn.
1.LikewiththeController,clickanumberfieldunder“Cameras”toopentheScanmenu.
2.Onceyournetworkisscanned,allcurrentlyconnectedandcompatiblecameraswillbedisplayed.You
canselectacameratobeassignedtoyourselectedCameranumber.Onceacameraisassignedit
willturnred.Repeatwithadditionalcameras.
NOTE:Withinthesoftware,camerasarenumbered1through25.ThisisnotthecasefortheMK20RC
Plusasthecamerasareseparatedinto5banksof5cameras.Thatbeingthecase,youcanusethelittle

Afterthisisfinished,theMK20RCPluswillbeabletolinktoanyoftheconnectedMK20HDPlusand
MK20Wcameras.TheIPCameraMatrixSetupManagersoftwareisnotnecessarybeyondthispoint,
unlessanyofthepresetassignmentsneedtobechanged.
Atthebottomofthescreen,youwillalsofind“LoadAll”and“SendAll”buttons.Thesewillessentially
uploadordownloadall controllerdataaccordingly.
Reset
Clickingthe“Reset”buttonontherightofthesoftwarewillclearthedata.
