Keep the Remote Control dry and do not drop and disassemble it.
When the Remote Control is lost, please contact the dealer nearby you and
delete the code number for the purpose of anti-theft. Then, purchase new
Remote Control and input new code number for usage.
Please make it sure never to use Remote Engine Start in the closed area.
Before Usage
JAZZ-II has no Remote engine start function(Remote engine start,
Programmable timed remote engine start, Cold weather start, Quick service).
Engine Start Module can be installed optionally for Remote engine start.
If you want to add this function, please discuss with the dealer nearby you.

With 3 buttons on the facade and 2 buttons on the side, it
contains color LCD screen, TX/RX electronic circuit,
highly efficient speaker for original sound and vibration
motor. User can discern easily the current status of the
vehicle and the system with each sound because it
makes different sounds according to each function,
reviving the natural sounds like various kinds of voices
and music melody and engine-starting sound (brrung).
Especially, E/L back light for illuminating a dark place
and clock function are built in as additional apparatuses.
Remote Control
Battery Replacement
Remote Control is operated by 1 x Alkaline
1.5V LR03 AAA. When icon on the
screen appears with beep sound, change the
battery. When the old battery is
replaced to new one, Remote Control
sounds melody, illuminates light on the
screen and vibrates. Then, the clock
returns to AM12:00 after displaying all
the icons one after another.
Please use JAZZ after setting the clock
to present time and checking the
current status by pressing I button.

System Components
It transfers signal to/from Remote Control
and is plugged into the Control Module.
Knock Sensor and Warning LED are built-in.
By adjusting screw on the side part, you can
set the sensitivity of the Knock Sensor to
strong or week position properly, i.e.
sensitivity will be increased by turning screw
clockwise and decreased by turning it
counterclockwise.
Communication Module
Communication Range Check
By pressing button II, you can also check if your Remote
Control is within the range of transmission or not. If within the
range, the current status of system (Arm or Disarm) appears on
the LCD screen with melody sounding. If out of the range,
icon disappear with relevant melody sounding.
With communication by low-powered radio wave of JAZZ, the operating range
may be extremely shortened due to the existence of same frequency of wireless
radio nearby and electric wave disturbance.

System Components
Because of the two-way communication capability, sometimes it does not operate
immediately upon pressing the button. So, please operate again for it’s not
product’s defect. Press the button for one second if there is no other special
instruction.
To see if the area is available zone for communicating with the vehicle or not, press
II button. In case melody emits from the Remote Control, with the word “System is
Okay” communication is available for range.

Basic Functions
Locking the Doors / Arming the System
If all doors are not closed when the system is armed, the alarm will sound.
If the system is in Valet mode, the doors will lock and unlock, but the alarm
function will remain inactive.
The alarm becomes fully armed 15 seconds after you press the I button.
Make sure that, before arming the vehicle, the switch of Dome Light is at the
position where the Dome Light is inter-locked to be turned on whenever the
doors are opened. Otherwise, all the alarm function shall not work correctly.
Unlocking the Doors / Disarming the System
If the chirp sounds 4 times when disarming(and/or light flash 4 times),
this indicates that the alarm sounded because door, hood, trunk was opened
in your absence.
If the chirp sounds 3 times when disarming(and/or light flash 3 times),
this indicates that the alarm sounded because the vehicle was bumped or hit
in your absence.

Trunk Release
▶You must arm/lock again after closing the trunk
Vehicle Locator
A press on the remote control produces chirps, allowing you to locate your vehicle in
a crowded parking lot.
Emergency Panic Alarm
Press a button to set off the alarm and call people’s attention to your vehicle.
The panic alarm works even while driving or when the system is disarmed.
▶To turn off the Panic alarm sound, press button II.

Vibrate Mode
You can set your remote control to vibrate mode instead of sound in the silent place
like theater and meeting room.
▶To return to normal mode, repeat the procedure above
Valet Mode
If your system is set to arm automatically, you can temporarily stop the alarm from
arming. This is useful when your vehicle is being valet parked, washed, fueled or
serviced.
When in Valet mode, automatic arming, cold weather start and programmed
remote start will not work. however keyless entry and trunk release still operates.
▶To exit Valet mode, repeat the procedure above and with two chirps, LED
turns off.

Alarm Clock
Your remote control includes an alarm clock to help you keep track of time and
remind you of an appointment.
Setting alarm clock time refer to page 17.
▶To turn off the alarm melody, press button II.
Optional Feature Control
The JAZZ includes an extra connection that you can use to control a feature of your
choice for added convenience(ex., Power window roll-up/down, Power sun-roof).
See your installer for details.
In case Window Roll-up/down Module installed, while OPTn appears in LCD,
pressing button I keeps window rolling up and pressing button II keeps
window rolling down.
The opened window is automatically rolled up when arming vehicle by Remote
Control.

Button Lockout
It prevents accidental button press during physical work or exercise by locking the
button on the remote control. It will still indicate vehicle tampering if a break-in
attempt occurs.
▶To cancel lockout, repeat the procedure above, bSTOP icon disappears.
Triggering the Alarm
The JAZZ monitors doors, shock, hood and trunk for possible break-in attempts.
The remote control will also indicate if your alarm is armed.
When minor impact on impact(Sho-1), siren sounds 1 time, and light flash 1 time.
Pin Switch can be installed optionally for Hood and Trunk sensing.
▶To turn off alarm sound, press button II.

Basic Functions
Driver Paging
It’s very useful for paging to the owner of the vehicle, who can be paged by tapping
the Knock Sensor which is usually mounted on the bottom part of front window in
the driver’s seat(sticker KNOCK HERE). In this case, plays melody and CALL icon
on the Remote Control, with the word “Looking for the driver”.
Adjust the sensitivity of the Knock Sensor, by transmitting with Remote Control,
to optimum level. The screw at the side of the Communication Module,
turn clockwise to increase sensitivity and counterclockwise to decrease sensitivity.
▶To turn off melody, press button II.
Quick-Service
Keep your vehicle running when you make a Quick-Service (i.e. at a convenience
store). It makes the engine continue running for 10 minutes even though you
remove key from ignition and lock the doors after exiting.

Remote Engine Start
Your vehicle will run for a preset time(page20) and shut off if left unattended.
For climate control, you must preset your vehicle heater or air conditioning
controls to your desired setting position before exiting your vehicle.
If your vehicle does not start on the first attempt, the system will automatically
attempt to start the vehicle 3 more times before turning off.
The alarm system remains fully armed with the bypass of the shock and paging
sensor while the vehicle is running on remote start. In this case, if the door is
opened without using remote control, alarm will sound and engine will be
turned off.
▶To make engine shut off, press button III. or unlock and lock the doors by
pressing button I.
Programmable Timed Remote Engine Start
You can set the JAZZ to start your vehicle and run for a preset time, at the same time
every day or when the vehicle is parked out of the range from the Remote Control.
Programmed Remote Start will only operate when the system is fully armed.
To change the programmed start time, refer to page17 and set a new time.
▶To cancel the programmed start time, repeat the procedure above.

Engine Start Functions
Remote Engine Start for Manual Transmission Vehicles
In order to remote start manual transmission vehicle, you should set the parking
brake and leave the gear in neutral position before exit to prevent your vehicle from
starting itself with remote start. The system check to see that this is done every time
you turn off the vehicle.
①Set neutral gear.
②Remove key from ignition while the engine is running, vehicle will continue to run
for up to one minute.
③Within 1 minute, exit vehicle and press button I, the engine is turned off and the
system arms
If you disarm the system and enter the vehicle, the remote start setting is
cancelled, and the system will not remote start unless you perform the
procedure again.
If you open the driver’s door before removing the key from the ignition, the
vehicle will be turned off immediately when the key is removed.
Entering the Vechicle During Remote Engine Start
If you enter the vehicle while the engine is running on remote & programmed start,
you can get in and drive without turning off the engine.
If you disarm the system and enter the vehicle, the remote start setting is
cancelled, and the system will not remote start unless you perform the
procedure again.
Cold Weather Start
In extreme cold weather conditions, the JAZZ can start your vehicle every 1, 2 or 3
hours. The vehicle will run for the same time set for regular remote start.
Your vehicle will start at your programmed interval. You can set the interval
time, refer to page 20.
One beep sound after lock melody from the Remote Control when you press
button means that your selection is 1 hour’s start interval (CS-1), two beeps
means 2 hours start interval (CS-2), three beeps means 3 hours start interval
(CS-3).
Cold Weather Start will only operate if the alarm is fully armed.

Convenience Features
Automatic Door Lock / Unlock Controlled by lgnition
If you set this function to on [dL-ON], refer to page 19. You can automatically lock
your doors 30 seconds after you start your vehicle, and unlock them when you turn
off the ignition. The red LED on the communication module will flash when you turn
on the ignition, and stop when the doors automatically lock.
Hidden Alarm
If you program the alarm sound mode to off [Sr-OF], refer to page 20. The
vehicle’s Siren will be silenced and light flasher shall not flash even if any triggered
in arming status.
Mute Chirp Sound
If you program the chirp sound mode to on [mu-ON], refer to page 18. Chirp sound
is muted when the Remote Control activates the vehicle.
Turbo Function
It’s for the Turbo Vehicle. Engine ignition can last one, three or ten minutes even
after locking door-lock and pulling out a ignition key. You can set the interval time,
refer to page 20.
Starter Interrupt (Optional)
The starter interrupt feature protects your vehicle from being stolen by disabling the
vehicle starter while the system is armed. The feature engages and disengages
when you arm and disarm the alarm.
If you attempt to start the vehicle with the key while the system is armed, the
alarm will sound and the vehicle will not start.
Dome Light Control (Optional)
By pressing button I, enter the disarm mode, the vehicle dome light will turn on for
10 seconds to allow you to see the interior of your vehicle. It will be also flashing if
anybody trigger in arming status.

Convenience Features
Usage of One-way Remote Control (Optional)
JAZZ can be used together with a spare Remote Control which is sold optionally.
This Remote Control has one-way transmission function and operating range will be
increased if you pull out an antenna. The process of code programming is same as
the two-way Remote Control, refer to page 22.

When set to Passive arming On mode,
the JAZZ can provide enhanced
security by locking the doors when the
system arms.
The system can be programmed to
automatically arm itself 30 seconds after
you remove key from ignition and then
exit your vehicle and close all the doors.
Last Door Arming On/Off
The system can be programmed to
automatically arm itself 30 seconds after
closing last door if you open the door
after disarming and close it without
arming.
If you set to‘PL-ON’, one chirp sound when
you close all doors, and will 3 chirps sound
when the doors lock 30 seconds later.
The system 1, 2 programming process works within RF range.
