Installing and using the
Introduction
Congratulations! Adding the
Enhanced Feature Adapter (EFA) to
your Venture system enables you to
connect seven devices: a music
source, an external page amplifier, a
door phone, a door locking/
unlocking device, a fax machine or
modem, and a printer or a PC.
Adding these devices to your
Venture system enables you to:
• provide music to callers who
have been put on hold
• play music though the handsfree
speaker of your phone
• page over a public address
system
• answer and open a door from a
phone in your Venture system
• use one line alternately for voice
calls, and for faxes or modem
transmissions
• accumulate and display Call
Detail Recording (CDR)
accounting information
This User guide explains how to
install the EFA, and to program and
use the EFA options.
☞
Note:
Any wiring of your
home or office that may be required
to install the devices connected to
your EFA should be done by
following the instructions that come
with each device. These instructions
are not covered in this
EFA User
Guide
.
