1. When the unitis to be installed high onthe wall, the distance frombottomof unit to floor should
be no less than 2mand no more than 3m. The distance fromside panel to wall should be no
less than 150mm.
2. When the unitis to be installed low on the wall, thedistance fromthe bottomof unit to floor
should ideally beno more than 300mmand no less than 100mm.The distancefromside panel
to wall should be noless than 150mm.
3. The wall that supports the unit must be strong enough to withstand the weight of unit.The
fixings should be chosenso as to be suitable for the type of wall – particularly hollow walls. Itis
the installer’s responsibility tocheckcarefully and use suitable fixings for the appliance.
4. Leave enough space around the unit for operation and maintenance.
5. Keep the area around air inlets completely clear to avoid any restriction of air flow, especially
within 0.2mrange of theair outlet area, otherwiseit will cause abnormal noise from the unit
during operation.
3.2.2 The chosen installation wall must be an outside wall.
Note: Before starting work ensure the correct positioning for the unit. Double check the
wall and confirm the wall is suitable to drill through. Take particular care that the wall
does not contain other services such as lights, wiring, water or gas pipes etc.
3.2.3 Before unit installation, it is necessary to double check the room size for the unit and
precisely calculate the heat load in summer and cooling load in winter that the heat pump
unit will have to manage for the room.
