Introduction
Micro Voice is a voice amplifier that supports those with a weak or strained
voice, or those who regularly use their voice intensively.
This product is intended for indoor and outdoor use in a home, school or
work environment.
Micro Voice is marketed as a technical aid for people with disabilities. It
complies with all necessary requirements, regulations and directives for
medical devices.
This use manual is intended for the end users. In this document you learn
how to safely use Micro Voice.

Get started with Micro Voice
Charge Micro Voice
WARNING: Only use the dedicated charger, supplied by Abilia, to
charge the Micro Voice. Using a different charger may seriously damage
the product.
1. Fully charge your Micro Voice before using it for the first time.
2. Connect the charger to the Charging Port.
3. Check that the charging LED flashes green to show it is working
correctly.
The battery takes 6 hours to charge and lasts for about a week if used for 8
hours per day. The LED indicator can assume the following colours:
Green – Battery is charged. Green flashing – Battery is charging
Orange flashing – Battery is low
Red flashing – You have a short time before your battery runs out.

Use Micro Voice
WARNING: Do not put the microphone and the amplifier close
together. This causes an acoustic feedback which, when set at high
volume, may cause hearing impairment.
1. Decide how you want to wear your Micro Voice. You can attach it to your
waist using the waist belt.
2. Plug the microphone into the Microphone Port.
3. Position the microphone:
a. For the AVI Headset Microphone: Fit it around the back of your
head with the loops over your ears and move the microphone
close to your mouth.
b. For the Lapel Clip Microphone: attach it to your clothing close
to your mouth.
c. For the Transdermal Microphone: make sure it is fitted flatly
against the skin at the top half of your neck above the collar
line.

Switch on (Power save)
1. Press the Control Button once.
You can start speaking into the microphone. The LED Indicator remains
green while the Micro Voice is switched on. After 15 minutes of inactivity,
the Micro Voice switches off.
TIP! Transdermal Microphone: If you have a slim neck, tuck a small
piece of fabric behind the back of the neckpiece to improve the fit. It
should not feel so tight that it is uncomfortable.

Switch on (Constant)
NOTE! This feature is only applicable for devices with serial number
02969/VAMP, or newer.
1. Hold down the Control Button
The LED indicator flashes green and orange a few times and then turns
red. The LED indicator then remains green while the Micro Voice is
switched on. It remains on until it is manually switched off.
Switch off
1. Press and hold the Control Button until the LED indicator goes red.
Volume
1. Rotate the Volume Dial clockwise to increase the volume.
2. Rotate the Volume Dial counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
Mute (standby)
If you would like to have a private conversation, you can put your Micro
Voice on standby:
1. Press the Control Button once.
The LED indicator flashes orange to indicate that you are in Mute.
2. To return to normal operation press the Control Button once.
The LED indicator turns green.

Maintenance
Clean Micro Voice
Clean the amplifier with a slightly damp cloth. Clean the product when dirty
or when preparing for reuse.
Troubleshooting
If you have questions regarding the functions or the settings in the product,
speak to your product supplier or dealer.

Storage and disposal
Storage
Keep the product indoors at room temperature and away from moist.
Disposal
This product contains electrical components that must be recycled at
the end of the product's service life. Take it to an electrical waste
recycling centre.
