2. Gearing – up the Wingsuit S-Fly
™
Access
Before manifesting for a wingsuit jump, take the time to set your equipment correctly and to check it.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Take care while handling the suit.
Do not force the zipper or pull excessively on the suit. This can affect the material.
Preferably use fine clothing under your wingsuit.
Check your parachute and activate your AAD before gearing-up your wingsuit.
Always ask for a gear check before boarding the plane.

Gear-up with the S-Fly
™
Access wingsuit
•Put on the jacket, close the zipper and pull the jacket down as low as possible.
•Gear-up with your harness: tighten your leg straps and close your chest strap.
•Make pass the entirety of the arm’s wings outside the harness. Give off fabric towards the outside of
your shoulders.

•Prepare the pants by opening the pant zippers; they should be open from ankle to knee for both of
them and from waist to knee for one of them (the second is closed : it’s normal !)
•Put on the pants, close the upper part of the leg zippers and adjust the belt. Take care not to cover
the bottom of your container or the hand deploy with the top of the pants !
•Keep the lower part of the leg zipper open until you are in the aircraft, ready to jump.

•Ask someone to check you.

Check
•Hand deploy is accessible and correctly stowed.
•Top of the pants doesn't cover the container or hand deploy.
•Leg straps are sufficiently tight.
•Chest strap is closed correctly.
•Cutaway and reserve handles are visible and easy to access.
•Leg’s wings are correctly connected: check in particular that you inserted well and completely the
cursor of each zipper.

Access wingsuit
•Keep the lower part of the leg zippers in an open position.
•Place yourself in the aircraft with care.
•Before you exit, close the leg zippers and connect the tension straps onto your shoes.
•Check that you have easy access to your hand deploy, cutaway and reserve handles.
•Check all your zippers and that the arm wings are connected properly to the pants.
