TRDDS eliminates false error indication when
invoking NIE, CSU, or DSU loopbacks immediately
following release of OCU loopback.
TROCU DP Bidirectional Loopback Support
The TROCU DP will execute a bidirectional loopback
when performing an OCU loopback at the TROCU
DP as shown in Figure 5. If the TRDDS-R detects a
bidirectional loopback during power-up
synchronization, the TRDDS-R allows data to pass on
the four-wire interface by entering into the pass-thru
mode. This allows a standard portable DDS test set,
TRDDS-R, to verify the integrity of the two-wire loop
by transmitting a test pattern and examining the
returning data for synchronization and errors. The
TROCU DP LBK LED will illuminate solid during an
OCU loopback. Refer to Figure 6 for an illustration
of the bidirectional loopback pass-thru mode.

Pass-Thru Mode
If the TROCU DP bidirectional loopback is invoked after
the TRDDS-R achieves synchronization, the TRDDS-R will
not pass or receive data from the CPE or DDS test set. This
is consistent with current DDS testing methods and is
referred to as the TROCU DP bidirectional loopback normal
mode. For testing purposes, the installer may choose to
initiate the TRDDS-R to pass-thru mode. Once the
bidirectional loopback is executed in normal mode, unseat
and reseat the TRDDS-R and allow the unit to train-up.
Once trained, the TRDDS-R will revert to pass-thru mode
for further testing. Refer to Figure 7 for TRDDS operation
during bidirectional loopback in normal mode.

Control Protocol
Remote access to provisioning and status information
is accomplished using ADTRAN Digital System 6
Message protocol, defined in Control and Diagnostic
Procedures Practice, Section 6032991-6. Digital
System 6 is supported by the TPI108/109 and 105
portable test set and is supported by Hekimian React
2001 Release 1.900 remote test system. The TRDDS
network elements comply with ANSI Tl.107-1995,
“Digital Hierarchy Format Specifications Annex G”
which allows remote provisioning, querying, and
performance monitoring via inband control of network

Remote access is accomplished using a defined set of

COOLING SYSTEM

GENERAL
I NOTICE I
Using coolant with silicate corrosion inhibitors may cause premature wear of water pump seals or blockage of radiator
passages. Using tap water may cause engine damage.
Add coolant at the reserve tank. Do not remove the radiator cap except to refill or drain the system.
Avoid spilling coolant on painted surfaces.
After servicing the system, check for leaks with a cooling system tester.
When the coolant temperature exceeds 120 °C (248 °F), the coolant temperature indicator will blink. The ECM will then
control the ignition and reduce engine speed to 9 mph (15 km/h). At this time, check the cooling system and engine for
leaks or damage. If everything is OK, then check the coolant indicator circuit and thermosensor (page 19-15).

Conduit
AVERTISSEMENT : TOUS LES CONDUITS DOIVENT
ETRE CONFORMES AVEC LES CODES DU BATIMENT LOCAUX ET
NATIONAUX.
REMARQUE : Un conduit isole est requis pour les installations
d'evacuations de salles de bain, lorsque le conduit passe par un
emplacement non climatise ou dans un emplacement ou le bruit
represente un facteur important. Le fait de ne pas utiliser d’isolant
pourrait entrainer une accumulation excessive de condensation
au sein du conduit de meme qu’un niveau de sonorite indesirable
dans la piece. Les courses de conduits devraient presenter aussi
peu de coudes que possible.
REMARQUE : Des conduits isoles flexibles peuvent etre utilises la
ou le code local le permet. Pour des installations au niveau de
sonorite le plus bas possible, il est recommande d'utiliser au moins
2,44 m de conduit flexible entre toute grille d’echappement et
ventilateur. Lors de I'utilisation de systemes de conduit de type
flexible, le conduit devrait etre etire aussi serre et droit que possible.
Le cas contraire pourrait entrainer une baisse dramatique de
rendementdu systeme. Le conduit flexible devrait etre rattache au
ventilateur a I'aide de serre-joints ou de ruban a conduits. Toutes
les connexions devraient etre aussi etanches que possible afin de
maximiser le rendement du systeme.

clapet au niveau de la piece et I'autre extremite a
I'embranchement en "Y". Fixez les deux extremites en place
en utilisant du ruban ou un serre-joint afin de creer un joint

chassis de la grille de I'autre piece (Figure 11).

recommande de fixer I'ame de vinyle interne du trou d'entree et
de sortie a I'aide d'une vis de serrage ou de ruban adhesif et que
le pare-vapeur entourant le revetement isolant soit fixe a I'aide
de ruban adhesif au chassis du ventilateur.
REMARQUE : Lorsqu'il est necessaire de joindre un conduit flexible
a I'ensemble collet/ clapet et qu'un coude immediat s'avere
necessaire, assurez-vous qu'il s'agisse d’un coude " flexible " de
sorte a assurer le bon fonctionnement des lames du clapet.
SECTION 7
Installation d'un clapet d'equilibrage facultatif.
Certains ensembles incluent un clapet d'equilibrage facultatif
permettant d'ajuster le systeme. Le clapet peut etre utilise la ou
les grilles serontfixees avec des conduits secondaires de
longueurs inegales ou la ou le debit devra etre equilibre pour une
raison ou une autre. Pour installer le clapet en option :
1. Le clapet doit etre installe sur la branche secondaire la plus
facilement accessible. II s'agit habituellement du conduit le
plus court ou de celui avec le moins de coudes.
2. Percez un trou de 7,94 mm a environ 38,1 mm du bord sur le
cote plat de I'embranchement en " Y ".

5. D epress the spindle lock button (29). To ensure it
engages correctly, rotate the alien key (11) until the
spindle lock clicks into position (Fig. 26).
NOTE: The spindle lock button (29) holds the blade (10) in
place when using the alien key (11) to change the blade (10).
6. Loosen the bolt in the centre of the blade (10) by turning the alien key (11) clockwise
as the blade bolt is a left hand thread.
7. Remove the blade bolt followed by the outer blade washer. The blade (10) can
now be removed by pulling away from the spindle. Put it aside ready to use in the
reassembly of the new blade.
8. The new blade can be fitted. Follow steps 2-7 in reverse to fit the new blade.
WARNING! To ensi re the correct blade rotation always install the blade with the
blade teeth pointing downwards. Ensure the arrow direction on the blade
corresponds with the arrow on the upper blade guard.

EXERCISE: TURN ON BURGLARY PROTECTION
Enter your ID code and observe Action Menu 1. Press Turn on.
Choosing this enables you to turn the group(s) on in either the AWAY
or STAY mode. Once you select the mode, you can scroll through your
burglary groups using the Previous and Next selections. Try it. To
turn specific groups on, press the key to the right of the group name
when that group’s identification is displayed. To turn on all groups,
press All. Press Quit to return to Action Menu 1.

Action Menu 2 has three feature selections:
• See points - Displays the number, description and current status of
each protection point.
• Change close time - Changes the close (system on) time of protection
groups.
• Test - Takes you to the Test Submenu for testing of protection groups,
points, holdup devices, and/or the bell and display.
EXERCISE: SEE POINTS
From Action Menu 2, choose See points to enter a submenu. Press
Supervisory, Burglary, Holdup, or Fire (depending on services being
provided). If Burglary is selected, select which group. Press Installed.
This will show you the first point of the selected service. If there is
more them one point in this service, press Next to see the next point.
NOTE: Next and Previous will not be displayed if there is only one
point in that service. Press Quit to return to Action Menu 2.
