ACO ShowerDrain Lightline
Product description
The ACO ShowerDrain Lightline illumination system consists of two
accumulator-operated LED modules and a charging device. The LED
modules are fixed to the stainless steel design gratings with the
fixing pins included in scope of supply.
The LED modules start lighting when coming in contact with water.
After taking a shower, the modules still light up for approx. two mi-
nutes before they switch off automatically.
Fig. 1
Charging process prior to initial use
Prior to initial use, the LED modules must be fully charged. This pro-
cess may take up to 18 hours. It must be made sure that the metal
contacts of the LED modules are free from dust, dirt and moisture.
Charging process during use
Depending on frequency of use, the LED modules must be rechar-
ged every three months. Before the LED modules are inserted in the
charging device, they have to be cleaned with warm water and to be
completely dried thereafter. The metal contacts of the LED modules
must be free from dust, dirt and soap residues.
Inserting the LED modules in the charger
It must be paid attention that the modules are correctly inserted
in the charging device. Please take correct positioning from fig. 1.
Lamps of LED modules must always point downwards.
Caution!
The charging device may be damaged if LED modules are
incorrectly inserted.

Meaning
Charging of LED modules takes place
Accumulator voltage already intensely dropped
or accumulator damaged. The charging device
nevertheless tries to recharge this LED module.
If, during the charging process, the charging
device does not switch over to slow blinking
(normal charging) within one hour, the LED mo-
dule is defective and may no longer be used.

Servicing and maintenance
The LED modules have to be cleaned depending on frequency of
showering. To do this, clean the contacts with warm water and a
cloth and free them from soap residues. The LED modules need not
be removed from the grating; cleaning of contacts is sufficient for
the functioning.
The product is maintenance-free; therefore, never disassemble. Re-
pair works must always be carried out by an authorised service cen-
ter or a specialist as otherwise you risk destruction of the product.
Moreover, the approval (CE) as well as warranty claims expire.
Prior to cleaning, unplug the mains plug.

Initial Installation of LED modules in the
stainless steel design grating
Except from the «Tile» design, the LED modules can be inserted into
all stainless steel design gratings.
To do this, the plastic fixing pins in the grating must be remo-
ved. It is recommended to slightly compress them with the aid
of pliers and to push them outside.

Proper use
The LED illumination modules are intended for installation in ACO
drainage channels only. They serve as effective illumination when
using the shower appliance.
The associated charging station is intended exclusively for charging
of up to two illumination modules (type 9010.89.05 / 9010.89.06 /
9010.89.07). Never use this device to charge other batteries. Never
bypass the charging contacts.
When using the charger, following notes have to be observed:
As power supply, only the supplied wall power supply may be used.
Operate and store in dry rooms only. Prior to charging, the illuminati-
on modules have to be thoroughly cleaned and dried.
When operating the device, pay attention to sufficient aeration. Ne-
ver cover the air vents. During operation, the device must be placed
on a hard, flame resistant support.
During charging, an ambient temperature of approx. 20°C is recom-
mended. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Never operate the charger unattendedly.
A different use as the one described before leads to damage of this
product. Moreover, risks as short-circuit, combustion, electric shock
and alike persist.
The product as a whole may not be changed or altered. The charger
may only be operated in dry interior rooms.
Safety notes
The mentioned safety notes, the pertinent national accident preven-
tion regulations as well as possible internal working, operating and
safety regulations of the user have to be observed. The safety notes
whose non-observance could lead to danger to human beings as well
as warnings of electric voltage are marked with the pertinent safety
symbols (as per DIN 4844 . W8/9).
General danger symbol
Beware of voltage
For safety reasons and in order not to lose the approval (CE), the
arbitrary conversion and/or alteration of the product is not per-
mitted.
The product (charging station and power supply) is approved on-
ly for operation in dry, closed interior rooms. The product may
not become damp or wet.
Don’t leave the packing material carelessly as it could become a
dangerous toy for your children!!
The design of the wall power supply corresponds to protection
class II. Voltage-/power may only be supplied by the public mains
supply (230V~/50-60Hz).
Load the product only up to the indicated capacity. An
overload may lead to destruction of the product, to a
combustion or an electric accident.
The product may be damaged by crushes, beats or by falling
down, even from low height.
Never operate the product (or other conventional elec-
tric appliances) next to or in the vicinity of flammable
liquids or gases, air-/gas mixtures (petrol vapours) or
easily flammable solid matters.
When operating the product or other electrical applian-
ces, sparks may arise which could lead to ignition of
the gases or the air-/gas mixtures!
Danger of explosion exists!
If you are in doubt about the working principle, safety or the con-
nection of the appliance, please contact a specialist!!
Avoid the following adverse environmental conditions at the ins-
tallation location, during operation or transport:
Wetness or too high air humidity (charger)
Extreme coldness (<0°C) or heat (>40°C), direct solar
radiation
Dust or flammable gases, vapours or solvents
Strong vibrations, crushes, beats
Strong magnetic fields, as prevailing in the vicinity of
machines or loudspeakers
Pay attention that isolation of the complete product neither beco-
mes damaged nor destroyed, never disassemble it. Prior to each
use, check the product for damages!!
If you ascertain damages, the product may not be put
into operation. There is danger to life!
In this case, take the appliance to an authorised service center
or dispose of it ecologically sound; refer to “disposal”.
