1. FOREWORD
Thank you for buying our wind-up stand.
This stand is designed for use in event technology.
Our user manual will explain to you how to use the stand properly.
Please pay particular attention to the safety information.
Make certain that you have read and understood the user manual before transporting, assembling, beginning to
use, and performing maintenance on the stand.
1.1. LIABILITY
This user manual was created with the greatest possible care.
The information, data, notes, and instructions contained herein were current as of going to press. Due to the
continuous refinement of the product, however, this user manual may evidence slight deviations with regard to
performance data or other features.
This user manual is subject to change or additions at any time without notice, especially if it contains technical
errors or typographical errors.
Claims for modification of products already delivered cannot be asserted on the basis of the descriptions and
other information in this user manual or the graphical depictions.
Our warranty and liability for defects in the product supplied, including this user manual, shall be governed solely
by the provisions of the purchase agreement, to the exclusion of further claims.
1.2. WARRANTY
We warrant that this user manual was produced in accordance with the essential technical and functional para-
meters of the technical product supplied.
We undertake no liability for defects and damage that arise due to improper use or failure to observe this user
manual.
In particular, warranty and liability claims in the even of personal injury and property damage are excluded if they
are attributable to one or more of the following causes:
• use for purposes other than those intended by the manufacturer.
• improper transport / improper setup.
• operation of the product with defective safety devices or improperly attached or non-functional safety and
protective devices.
• failure to observe the information in the user manual when transporting, operating, and performing mainte-
nance on the product.
• unauthorized modication of the product.
• Removal of parts of the equipment and/or Installation of spare parts or additional devices
that were not supplied or specified by us.
• failure to comply with the inspection periods specied by the accident prevention regulations.
• improper repairs.
• catastrophic events due to external inuences or force majeure.
• Expendable parts are not covered by the warranty.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND DECLARATIONS
2.1. INTENDED USE
The intended use of the stand is vertical lifting and lowering of loads.
Any use beyond the above is a use not intended by the manufacturer.
Neither the manufacturer nor the supplier shall be liable for damages resulting from this.
Users who use this equipment for purposes not intended by the manufacturer do so solely at their own risk.
When using the equipment for its intended use, the following points, among others, must be observed:
• Stability of the stand
• Compliance with load ratings
• Ropes free from damage
• When using lighting cross-beams, ensure that they are loaded symmetrically
The operator must take the respectively occurring loads and risks into account when selecting and dimensioning
all elements within the ow of forces, such as load suspension points and slings.
If a defect occurs in this technical product which could result in danger to the participating persons which cannot
be averted by other means, the equipment must be shut down immediately. Further operation must be prohibited
until the defect is eliminated.
For any use other than the one intended, the manufacturer and/or distributor must always be consulted before-
hand.
2.2. IMPROPER USE
The following types of use and operation are prohibited:
• Lifting of persons
• Exceeding of the permissible load ratings in accordance with the specications
• Operation with missing or illegible warning and safety notices
• Carrying out of repairs without expertise
• Unsupervised operation of the equipment
• Operation by unauthorized persons

3. SETUP AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

3.1. SETTING UP THE STAND
• Determine a suitable location and position the stand.
• Release the tommy screw 1and extend the legs completely by pushing down on the leg struts 2. Afterwards,
retighten the tommy screw 1.
The legs must always be extended completely. Operation with incompletely extended legs is prohibited.
• Verify that the stand is positioned vertically and correct if necessary. To do this, when screw 3is released, one
leg can be lengthened in order to position the stand vertically. Verify the vertical orientation of the stand using a
spirit level.
• Unfold the crank 4after releasing the knurled nut 5. Afterwards, retighten the knurled nut.
• Now the load can be fastened. This can done using one of the three different mounts in the head of the stand (
9and 10 ). The load must be mounted with the stand fully retracted.
• Once the tommy screws 6have been released, the crank can be used to extended the stand to the desired
height. When extending the stand, make certain that the safety catch 7 (Fig. 3) is in Position 1.
• Once the desired height is reached, retighten both tommy screws 6.
Operation without the tommy screws 6tightened is prohibited. If necessary, use a ladder to tighten the tommy
screws. Alternatively, the optionally available step (Product Number SWU375FR) can mounted and used to reach
the tommy screws.
• When used outdoors, the stand must be additionally stabilized with suitable guy lines. At the stand end, these
are fastened to anchor point 8using a screw gate. The ropes must be attached to the ground with stakes. The
steel cables must be staked out at an angle of 120° relative to one another and at an angle of 30° relative to the
stand.
If the crank turns only with difficult, check the following points:
• Have the tommy screws 6been loosened sufficiently?
• Is the load too heavy (max. 30 kg)?
• Does the stand show signs of obvious damage?
3.2. TAKING DOWN THE STAND
• Release the tommy screws 6.
• Move the safety catch 7 to Position 2. In order to do this, it may be necessary to lift the load slightly using the
crank 4.
CAUTION: When releasing the safety catch 7, always hold the crank 4in position with the other hand in order to
avoid unintended lowering of the load!
• Use the crank 4to slowly lower the load completely.
• Remove the load.
• Retighten the tommy screws 6and return the safety catch 7 to Position 1.
• Fold up the crank by releasing the knurled nut; afterwards, retighten the knurled nut.
• Release the tommy screw 1and fold in the legs completely by pushing up on the leg struts 2. In order to do
this, the adjustable-length leg must be pushed in all the way. Afterwards, retighten the tommy screw 1.
When transporting the stand, make certain that tommy screws 1, 3and 6are tightened, the crank 4is folded
in, and the safety catch 7 is in Position 1.
Note: During transport, the stand must not be carried by the folded in crank 4, as this could cause the crank to
become damaged.

3.3 STAND MAINTENANCE
The following points should be checked periodically:
• Is the stand free from damage? In particular, attention should be paid to damage to the tubes.
• Are the cables in proper working order? The condition of the cables can be checked through the holes in the
main tube.
• Is it possible to release and tighten all tommy screws?
If the stand shows visible signs of damage or does not function without trouble, then it may not be used until the
damage has been repaired by an expert.

In order to accept a Ø 16 mm TV spigot, the built-in TV spigot must rst be folded out sideways.

LIMITED WARRANTY
This Limited Warranty applies to the Adam Hall, LD Systems, LD Premium, Defender, Palmer, Cameo and Eminence
branded products.
The statutory warranty rights towards the seller are not affected by this guarantee. In fact, it justifies, additional
independent warranty claims towards Adam Hall.
Adam Hall warrants that the Adam Hall product you have purchased from Adam Hall or from an Adam Hall autho-
rized reseller is free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use for a period of 2 or 5 years from
the date of purchase.
The Limited Warranty Period starts on the date of purchase. In order to receive warranty services you are required
to provide proof of the purchase date. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of purchase, is your
proof of the purchase date. Should products of the brands named above be in need of repair within the limited war-
ranty period, you are entitled to warranty services according to the terms and conditions stated in this document.
This Limited Warranty extends only to the original purchaser of this Adam Hall branded product and is not trans-
ferable to anyone who obtains ownership of the Adam Hall branded product from the original purchaser. During
the Limited Warranty Period, Adam Hall will repair or replace the defective component parts or the product. All
component parts or hardware products removed under this Limited Warranty become the property of Adam Hall.
In the unlikely event that your Adam Hall product has a recurring failure, Adam Hall, at its discretion, may elect to
provide you with a replacement unit of Adam Hall´s choice that is at least equivalent to your Adam Hall branded
product in hardware performance.
Adam Hall does not warrant that the operation of this product will be uninterrupted or error-free. Adam Hall is not
responsible for damage that occurs as a result of your failure to follow the instructions included with the Adam
Hall branded product.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY
- to wear parts (e.g. accumulator)
- to any product from which the serial number has been removed or that has been damaged or rendered defecti-
ve as the result of an accident
- in case of, misuse, abuse, or other external causes
- by operation outside the usage parameters stated in the user´s documentation shipped with theproduct by use
of spare parts not manufactured or sold by Adam Hall
- by modification or service by anyone other than Adam Hall
These terms and conditions constitute the complete and exclusive warranty agreement between you and Adam
Hall regarding the Adam Hall branded product you have purchased.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
If your Adam Hall branded hardware product fails to work as warranted above, your sole and exclusive remedy
shall be repair or replacement. Adam Halls’ maximum liability under this limited warranty is expressly limited
to the lesser of the price you have paid for the product or the cost of repair or replacement of any hardware
components that malfunction in conditions of normal use.
Adam Hall is not liable for any damages caused by the product or the failure of the product, including any lost
profits or savings or special, incidental, or consequential damages. Adam Hall is not liable for any claim made by
a third party or made by you for a third party.
This limitation of liability applies whether damages are sought, or claims are made, under this Limited Warranty
or as a tort claim (including negligence and strict product liability), a contract claim, or any other claim. This limi-
tation of liability cannot be waived or amended by any person. This limitation of liability will be effective even if
you have advised Adam Hall of an authorized representative of Adam Hall of the possibility of any such damages.
This limitation of liability however, will not apply to claims for personal injury.
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that may vary from state to
state or from country to country. You are advised to consult applicable state or country laws for a full determina-
tion of your rights.
Adam Hall GmbH, all rights reserved. The technical data and the functional product characteristics can be subject
to modifications. The photocopying, the translation, and all other forms of copying of fragments or of the integral-
ity of this user’s manual is prohibited.

1. VORWORT
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für den Kauf unseres Wind-Up-Kurbelstativs entschieden haben.
Dieses Stativ ist für den Einsatz in der Veranstaltungstechnik konzipiert.
Unsere Bedienungsanleitung erklärt Ihnen das sachgerechte Arbeiten mit dem Stativ.
Beachten Sie hierbei besonders die Sicherheitshinweise.
Vor dem Transport, der Montage, der Inbetriebnahme und der Wartung des Stativs muss die Betriebsanleitung
gelesen und verstanden werden.
1.1. HAFTUNG
Diese Betriebsanleitung wurde mit größtmöglicher Sorgfalt erstellt.
Die enthaltenen Informationen, Daten, Hinweise und Anleitungen entsprechen dem Stand der Drucklegung.
Aufgrund der ständigen Weiterentwicklungen des Produktes kann diese Betriebsanleitung jedoch geringe Abwei-
chungen zu den Leistungsdaten oder sonstigen Merkmalen aufweisen.

die nicht von uns geliefert oder vorgegeben wurden.
• Nichteinhaltung der nach den Unfallverhütungsvorschriften vorgegebenen
Untersuchungsfristen.
• Unsachgemäße Reparaturen.
• Katastrophenfälle durch Fremdkörpereinwirkung oder höhere Gewalt.
• Verschleißteile fallen nicht unter die Gewährleitung.

2. SICHERHEITSHINWEISE UND ERKLÄRUNGEN
2.1. BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSE VERWENDUNG
Bestimmungsgemäß ist das Stativ zum vertikalen (senkrechten) Heben und Senken von Lasten ausgelegt.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Für hieraus resultierende Schäden haftet weder der Hersteller, noch der Lieferant.
Das Risiko hierfür trägt der Benutzer.
Bei der bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung ist unter anderem auf folgende Punkte zu achten:
• Standfestigkeit des Stativs
• Einhaltung von Tragfähigkeiten
• Seile frei von Beschädigungen
• Bei der Verwendung von Scheinwerfertraversen ist darauf zu achten, dass diese symmetrisch belastet sind
Die Auswahl und Dimensionierung aller im Kraftuss bendlichen Elemente wie Hängepunkte und Anschlagmit-
tel, hat durch den Betreiber unter der Berücksichtigung der jeweils auftretenden Belastungen und Gefährdungen
zu erfolgen.
Tritt bei diesem technischen Erzeugnis ein Mangel auf, durch den für die beteiligten Personen sonst nicht
abwendbare Gefahren entstehen können, ist die Anlage unverzüglich stillzulegen. Der weitere Betrieb ist bis zur
Mängelbeseitigung zu untersagen.
Eine andere als die bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung ist grundsätzlich vorher mit dem Hersteller bzw. Vertrieb
abzustimmen.
2.2. MISSBRÄUCHLICHE VERWENDUNG
Es gelten folgende Einsatz- und Bedienverbote:
• Heben von Personen
• Überschreiten der zulässigen Tragfähigkeiten entsprechen der Angaben
• Betreiben bei fehlenden oder unleserlichen Warn- und Sicherheitshinweisen
• Durchführung von Reparaturen ohne Fachkenntnis
• Unbeaufsichtigter Betrieb der Anlage
• Bedienung durch Unbefugte
